C21-26 Dr Arthur P. Ciaramicoli, America Reunited.

Choose Positive Living with Sara Troy and her guest Dr Author Cairamicoli, on air from June 29th

America Reunited: A Relational Solution to Bridging the Political, Social and Personal Chasm Dividing our Nation. This is the most important book I have ever written given the difficulties of your current time

Arthur P. Ciaramicoli, Ed.D., Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist who has been treating clients for more than 35 years. He is currently in private practice, while also developing courses and podcasts for an educational company in China based on his recent books The Power of Empathy, The Soulful Leader and The Triumph of Diversity.

Dr. Ciaramicoli is on the faculty of The International Association of Wellness Practitioners and is a Global Presence Ambassador, Parenting 2.0. He has been on the faculty of Harvard Medical School for several years, lecturer for the American Cancer Society, Chief Psychologist at MetroWest Medical Center, and director of the MetroWest Counseling Center and of the Alternative Medicine division of MetroWest Wellness Center in Framingham, Massachusetts. He was previously the Chief Medical Officer of Soundmindz.org a popular mental health site.

Dr. Ciaramicoli has spent his entire career helping people reduce their prejudices toward themselves and others while increasing their understanding of the enormous benefits of diversity and the transformative power of empathic interpersonal relationships.

He believes every human being has the capacity to grow and uncover the goodness that lies within each spiritual being. Teasing out the hidden potential of others by uncovering the false ideas many of us carry into adulthood about ourselves and others is the prime focus of his personal self-help book on diversity. He explains in detail how the interconnections of humankind allow those of different religions, different political persuasions and different cultures to discover the commonalities among us that allow us to thrive in union, rather than continue in our current societal climate that fosters group thinks, divisiveness and hatred.

C21-26 Ashley Michelle, Escaping a Murderer.

Choose Positive Living with Sara Troy and her guest Ashly Michelle, on air from June 29th

My name is Ashley Michelle and have gone through things that I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through, including being assaulted and not only being a witness to a murder scene where my ex-boyfriend had just killed someone I knew of, but he locked the door behind me and told me I was next. Thankfully I escaped, but, from that moment, my life has been filled with PTSD, depression, and anxiety. Instead of this taking over my life, I chose to talk about what happened to me, but more importantly, about my healing process so I can inspire people to change their lives after going through their own tough times.I want someone to look at me and say, because of you, I didn’t give up!

RG21-Jordans Law & Social Media Safety ORG

Raising Our Gifted Children with Sara Troy and her guest Marc Berkman and Ed Peisner

Organization for Social Media Safety was born out of tragedy. Today, we fight every day to protect families from the dangers linked to social media.

In 2016, then 14-year-old Jordan Peisner was standing with friends outside a local fast food restaurant when he was suddenly and viciously assaulted by another teen he did not know. During the attack and while Jordan lay helpless on the ground, witnesses and friends of the perpetrator stood and filmed the assault on their phones and then quickly uploaded their videos to social media. Now, this horrifying footage lives forever on social media already having been viewed by hundreds of thousands.

While Jordan slowly recovered from his severe, ultimately lifelong, injuries, his father Ed Peisner resolved to make sure that no other child or family had to endure such an ordeal. So, Ed began meeting with local legislators to explore solutions and eventually partnered with Marc Berkman, a senior staffer with the California State Assembly.

JORDAN’S LAW

Together, they learned that what we now call social media-motivated violence, attacks committed for the purpose of being filmed and distributed on social media to gain internet notoriety were doubling every year since the birth of major social media in 2006.  To stop this sickening trend, Marc ultimately drafted Jordan’s Law, the nation’s first state law to deter social media-motivated violence. And, with Ed’s fierce advocacy, Jordan’s Law was signed into law in California within only a year of its introduction.

ORGANIZATION FOR SOCIAL MEDIA SAFETY IS BORN

Ed and Marc saw a very urgent need for an organization that had the vision, capacity, and capability to fight back against these dangers, an organization that recognized that while social media may be here to stay, it could actually become safe with the right interventions. That is why they founded the Organization for Social Media Safety.

Marc Berkman serves as the CEO of the Organization for Social Media Safety (OFSMS) where he has grown OFSMS into a prominent national consumer protection organization that has taught social media safety skills to thousands of students, parents, and educators across the country and developed essential social media safety legislation like Jordan’s Law, the nation’s first law to deter social media-motivated violence.
Previously, Marc served for over a decade as a senior advisor to members of Congress and the California State Assembly. During his time as a legislative aide, he developed and helped pass into law numerous legislative initiatives to protect vulnerable children and families.
Marc received his JD from Columbia Law School and his BA from UC Berkeley. He lives with his wife and two children in Los Angeles, CA.

After a long career in business, Ed Peisner founded the Organization for Social Media Safety in 2016 after his teenage son Jordan was viciously assaulted in West Hills, CA. The attack was filmed and uploaded to social media by an associate of the attacker. The video went viral, viewed by millions, and Jordan was left with serious and life-long injuries from the assault. Ed decided to dedicate himself to the goal of ensuring that no other family had to endure such a terrible ordeal.
Now, Ed travels the country as the National Education Director for the Organization for Social Media Safety teaching thousands of students, parents, and educators how to stay safe on social media.

C21-24 Shelley Brown and Weird Girl Adventures from A to Z.

Choose Positive Living with Sara Troy and her guest Shelley Brown, on air from June 15th

Elon Musk, Lady Gaga, Andy Warhol, Sir Richard Branson have all been described as “weird”, but that’s exactly what propelled them to their success. Our “weird” doesn’t know it’s weird until it’s judged by others.  And when that happens, many of us spend years, even decades wearing that judgment every day like an itchy wool sweater. What happens if we shift our thinking and begin embracing our weirdness?
Shelley will invite your audience to allow their own “weird” and join what she affectionately calls the “the collective weirdness of humaning”. She will offer advice on:

  • How people can allow their “weird” in a way that generates personal and professional growth.
  • How to mitigate the “bullshould,” the space between where we are and where we think we should be.
  • Five ways organizations can benefit from embracing inclusivity through individuality and weirdness.
