C19-04 EFT & Mindfulness to Increase Focus and Manage Anger +Stress

Choose Positive Living with Sara Troy and her guest Eileen Lichtenstein, on air from January 22nd

Reduce Stress and Be Happier, More Productive with EFT Tapping and Anger Management Strategies

Mindfulness is defined as paying attention and being fully in the moment.  The influence of technology in our fast-paced world often causes the problem of lack of focus on a particular task.   In our modern often chaotic world, frustration levels rise quickly, giving way to stress and anger.  Impatience and frustration go hand-in-hand.  A workplace culture and personal mindfulness awareness is especially helpful to maintain inner peace and personal balance

Another tool that is helpful in focusing as well as to reduce stress and anger is EFT(Emotional Freedom Techniques), also known as tapping.  It is recognized in the field of Energy Psychology and has become globally popular.  The physical tapping on meridian points releases cortisol, a stress hormone and sends serotonin – a feel good hormone – to the section of the brain dealing with emotions, the amygdala. Most of us are not born with the recommended amount of serotonin for optimal functioning and it may be found as a pharmaceutical ingredient in some anti-depressants.  I am a certified EFT practitioner and use the modality to help reduce frustration and anxiety with all my clients.  My certifying Anger Management Association (NAMA) has given me permission to use it along with the “curriculum” for anger management.

C19-01 TO SEE BEYOND SIGHT! with  Kathleen Tonnesen

Choose Positive Living with Sara Troy and her guest  Kathleen Tonnesen, on air January 1st 2019.

To see beyond sight.
I was born legally blind in my left eye. I was born with an eye disease in my right eye named Fuchs heterochromic iridocyclitis which is a disease of the iris leading to blindness over time. I am sharing my story of courage via art creativity at the encouragement of my business coach Cresswell Walker, to whom I am very grateful for guiding me through my turbulent emotional waters 2018. This, due to the 3rd eye issue that placed all my goals and plans for business on pause for the last 6 months, while I worked to recalibrate my brain to adjust to my new way of being. Thanks Cresswell. I will be interviewed by Sara Troy, Self Discovery Radio, in December, in the hope that my story may inspire and be of service to others who face challenges on their own journey. Stay tuned!

Why Win is becoming a journalist, is to speak  for those who can’t speak for themselves.  We have fake news in the US and Win needs to speak the positive good news for the disabled as they are being made fun of or dismissed.

Born with Cerebral Palsy, Win Charles has defied the odds by becoming an author. Her memoir I, Win is an amazing story of how she remembers her life through the years of having a condition called “CP”. As a competitor in the Kona IronMan Triathlon, CEO of her own jewelry design company, and motivational speaker, Win Charles truly is an inspiration to many.

Today Win Charles tours the country, speaking to schools and institutions to raise awareness about cerebral palsy and living a full life no matter what holds you back. She is also an advocate of veterans across the world.

C18-50 The Empowerment of Conscious Women with Dianne Shaver

Choose Positive Living with Sara Troy and her guest/host  Dianne Shaver, on air from December 11th

power women

It is the time of WOMAN, we don’t need to burn our bras, or become an image of a man to get aheads, all we need to do , is just be our wonderful selves, for that in itself is an answer to the worlds needs.

Women’s Roles Now by Dianne Shaver

Women are showing up big time in every area: 124 women won their election in mid-terms in the US.

Women are heads of government:  German Chancellor:  Angela Merkel, England’s Theresa May, Tsa Ing-Wen, President, Taiwan,  Michelle Bachelet, President, Chile, Queen Elizabeth II,  Sheikh Hasina Wajed, Prime Minister, Banglades, Beata Maria Szydlo, Prime Minister, Poland, Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minister, New Zealand, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, President, Croatia, Erna Solberg, Prime Minister, Norway, Dalia Grybauskaite, President, Lithuania, Kersti Kaljulaid, President, Estonia

The MeToo movement is going strong in government and corporate. Women are speaking out against sexual abuse.  Jane Fonda at 80 is giving talks about politics, women coming into their own. Reporters Andrea Mitchell NBC and Judy Woodruff PBS are in their 70s and are still at the top of their game. The Olympic Gymnastic committee is getting revamped because Ally Raisman spoke up about a coach sexually abusing her and other gymnasts for years.  Women have stopped being silent

After the Parkland shooting Emma Gonzalez and Jaclyn Corin joined with their male counterparts and started March For Our Lives traveling all over the US raising awareness about guns and the vulnerability of children in schools.

Actress Reese Witherspoon got tired of being told there was no market for big budget female interest movies and started her own production company and is creating movies and shows.  She is also advocating for equal pay for female performers.

While there is still a long way to go, it’s clear that women are showing up everywhere, speaking out about the issues that concern them.

With concerns about climate change, education, medical care, pollution, immigration, women will be stepping up more and more because these are all concerns about the welfare of people and the planet, areas that concern women.  While there are women who are not paying attention to the things that are of concern, more women are stepping up and taking leadership roles.

In the US there is something called Emerge America teaching women how to run for office and it’s paying off since most of the women who came through the program won their elections.
