Let’s be honest: life can feel pretty random. When things go well, it’s because you’re managing (read: controlling) them. But when one thing goes wrong, it seems like all that goes out the window.

So you try all the “right” things, like reading the self-help books, exercising, changing your diet, working harder, working smarter, having the tough conversations, and rubbing that lucky pebble in your pocket, all in hopes of pulling the right levers and lining up the stars to (fingers crossed) get the life you want.

There’s your way!

**Reality doesn’t happen to you. It happens from you. You can give up the idea that you need to (or can) control everything, and start understanding that you create everything.**

IT’S YOUR LIFE, ISN’T IT? tells a most remarkable story. Copen lived in Japan for three years. A year later, after she conducted a seminar in Tokyo, Japan, a young Japanese woman came up to her and said, “I like the way you think. Would you be interested in writing a book for the Japanese market with our publisher?” Copen said YES. It took more than a year to work with Diamond Publishers to think through the theme and content. She wrote it in English, and it was published in Japan in 2000, in Japanese, with the title, “IT’S YOUR LIFE, ISN’T IT.” During the recent long months in the global pandemic, Copen re-discovered the manuscript on her computer and committed to revising it to become a “global” book. Her aim was that it could reach and help women and men in many countries.

He listens to Dr. Cook’s Walk with the King broadcast each morning before boarding a Manhattan-bound commuter train at Scarborough Station; passes through Law Park and the Pine Forest frequently; enjoys membership at Sleepy Hollow Country Club; stops for sunsets over the Hudson River and once in a while can be found skating at one of the frozen ponds in town. Rick Cole has been an active ally for social justice, taking a hands-on approach to issues of racial reconciliation and homelessness in his community as well as serving countries all around the world by leading teams through global mission work. Cole pastors a congregation of over 3,000 members and leads a staff of 14 pastors in addition to 180 church and school employees. He is the co-author of two other books, Souldesign: A Roadmap for Personal Growth and Souldesign: Living A Life of Love. Rev. Rick Cole lives in California with his wife Cathy. They have three children and five beautiful grandchildren.
