IGS 18-11 Spiritual and Broke it does not have to be…..

Igniting Our Hearts and Souls with Sara Troy and her guest Jennifer Noels Taylor. On air from March 13th

Are you doing what you love, yet worried about money?
Do you feel torn between following your heart and making a living?
Like many of us, Jennifer was spiritual and broke, until she had a shocking “Aha!” moment in the back of a police car. Her tragedy was a cataclysmic lesson that completely changed her perspective on the law of attraction.

Spiritual and Broke is a practical guide for entrepreneurs, writers, artists, healers, and anyone who wants to follow their heart, without feeling like a martyr for the cause.

This step-by-step guide to financial and spiritual abundance explores:

  • How to do what you love without going into debt or constantly worrying about how to make ends meet
  • How Jennifer dug herself out of $135,000 of debt, stopped living paycheck to paycheck, and completely eliminated her angst around money, all while doing what she loves;
  • How to painlessly transform your finances without feeling deprived or denying yourself the little luxuries in life;
  • The real reason why “bad things” happen to good people.

FAMM (Families Against Mandatory Minimums) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization fighting for smart sentencing laws that protect public safety. We see a country where criminal sentencing is individualized, humane, and sufficient to impose fair punishment and protect public safety. Our supporters include taxpayers, families, prisoners, law enforcement, attorneys, judges, criminal justice experts and concerned citizens.
What FAMM Does…
By advocating for sensible state and federal sentencing reform, FAMM helps:
(1) Lessen the burden of overcrowded prisons on taxpayers…
(2) Shift resources from excessive incarceration to law enforcement and other programs have proven to reduce crime and recidivism…
(3) Mobilize those whose lives are harmed by unfair prison sentences to work constructively for a change…

Kevin brings more than 20 years of conservative public policy, campaign, and issue advocacy experience to FAMM. He began his career in Washington, DC as a legislative aide on Capitol Hill. During his tenure, he served as counsel to the Senate Judiciary’s Constitution, Federalism, and Property Rights Subcommittee under the leadership of future US Attorney General John Ashcroft. 18-10 Eternal Optimism but running out of Enthusiasm?

Sara Troy on Sara’s View of Life, on air from March 6th

Sometimes those dark thoughts come creeping in, they take away your enthusiasm for your optimism. How do we stop that from happening?

I am the eternal optimist, always believing that somehow it will work out, that I am meant to go this way, meant to take this journey. Then something happens and you are challenged once again, and you wonder about it all. I am very enthusiastic about what I do, what vision I see for the future, what possibilities lay before me, and I take action to put them in the process, then it is STOP, not now.

That is when you get the hurry up and wait, what wait why? everything feels right, the vision is clear the action is needed now, so why the wait? Well, you can not argue with the universe, and you have to surrender to patience once again. BUT, it is a damper on the enthusiasm.

I am optimistic that my vision will find its action, in time, and I will always find my enthusiasm for it is my divine presence, even though it drops off sometimes on those dark days for a moment or two.

So how we choose to see the world is our choice, even when things are shity, think manure for that is the soil of growth. I know at times it can be challenging, the always up to only be brought down, but maybe those down times are preparing us for what wonders are to come.

So don’t get gloomy, I know it is hard at times, dark at times, even scary, do not forget that freedom starts in the mind with a willingness to connect with our heart and souls.

I face this daily, yet I choose even though the clouds to see the clear blue sky. Sometimes I have to see it in my mind before I truly see it in my heart,  but when you do, you know, this darkness will pass and optimism and enthusiasm will prevail.

TSM18-10 Recovering from Narcissist Abuse PRT 3

Their Story Matters with Sara Troy and her guests Anouska and Sarah Squires, on air from March 13th

In our first show in this series, we covered the Narcissist in a relationship, our second on Children of Narcissist parents. This time is how to recover from the abuse of a narcissist, Sociopath or Psychopath.

We feel that we will never recover from such emotional and crippling abuse, or how to escape from their clutches, but recovery and freedom can be found, you just need help along the way.

Anouska and Sarah will share their expertise on how to recover from a Narcissistic experience and gain our own empowerment back by embracing our self-worth and learning to love our selves unconditionally.

.

First, how do we identify, the tel-tale signs? Anouska shares the types here.

We can even break it down further into classes. Taking the criteria for Narcissism from the DSM-IV, we can classify them as showing a tendency to exaggerate certain behaviours more than others. For instance, some will embellish their accomplishments, while others may be consumed with the concept of finding romantic love, and others might be more interested in behaving in duplicitous ways, conning and using others. Here is the list of behaviours, some of which tend to be more dominant than others.

  • Exaggerate their accomplishments

  • Obsessed with their uniqueness

  • Consumed with finding romantic love

  • Excessive entitlement behaviours

  • Devious and exploitative

  • Obsessed with fame and success

  • Believe they should get special treatment

  • Behave in a selfish and uncaring manner

  • Cannot relate to others feelings and desires

  • Behave in an envious or jealous manner

  • Behave in an arrogant or haughty manner

  • Excessively concerned with how they are perceived by others

  • Excessive need to have high-status friends or other status symbols to impress others.

Why type of narcissist do you/did you have in your life?

Sarah from The Nurturing Coach says

When I was experiencing narcissistic abuse and parental alienation, I wanted someone who understands and helped me to find myself again. I couldn’t find anyone with this expertise so, once I felt stronger, I decided to use my experience as a social worker and retrain as an NLP Practitioner.

I help victims of narcissistic parental abuse and parental alienation to deal with the trauma of their experience and give them the skills to protect their children from the ongoing abuse at the hands of their own parent.  As an ex-social worker, protecting children is at the heart of all that I do.  Whether that be adult children of narcissistic parents or parents trying to co-parent with a narcissist.
