Lainie Strouse is the President of Lower Merion Productions and has enjoyed success across a broad spectrum of the entertainment industry. As an accomplished TV and film producer, Ms. Strouse developed, produced and sold the award-winning feature “Teacher of the Year,” starring Keegan-Michael Key (currently on Amazon Prime and Paramount +, HBO, Peacock etc.) grossing over fifty times its budget. She is currently the Executive Producer of “E.A.T. with Gavin Rossdale and the feature film, “Abbie’s Party”, scheduled for production in August 2023. Lainie has secured funding for projects such as the Whitney Houston biopic “I Wanna Dance with Somebody”, the best-selling thriller “Ultimatum”, and “Spinning Gold” (starring Michelle Monaghan) and produced large-scale live events including the inaugural live concert event for Ellen DeGeneres’s “Ellen Fund” with Bruno Mars and Chris Martin raising 5 million dollars (with a 2 million dollar goal), Hilarity for Charity for Seth Rogen. I am at a place where I have had success in my business and have recently been feeling the “winter” or “going inward” of resting, cleansing, focusing on what self-care means for me “at this time” (which is good food, sleep & rest, exercise & financial stability) and it looks different than the self-care at other times. Taking a pause. Reassessing what I want to keep and let go of with my business, what direction I want to take it.

Being “in” that inevitable entrepreneurial dark night of the soul and what it is like, how to navigate that. Knowing when you need to accept rest and accept not knowing the answers and only knowing you need to follow your joy and see where that leads you.

As you have said this journey is about the person and being an entrepreneur helps you grow, uncover, and become the person that is meant to help others.
