C18-08  The Mystic of Montecito with Deirdre Hade

Choose Positive Living with Sara Troy and her guest Deirdre Hade, on air from February 20th

Shares tools for weathering the storms in this Age of Surprise

“We are entering The Age of Surprise, the 21st century. The mystical gates of a greater reality are poised to open, leading the way for humanity to regain intuition, spectacular ideas and expanded compassion and healing on a global scale. Live in the Tao of Surprise, and our challenging times will become our greatest gift of revelation and redemption.” Deirdre Hade

Welcome to the Age of Surprise. We are now at the greatest Doorway that humanity has ever entered- a time when the unexpected has now become expected more often than not. 2017 brought some of the largest hurricanes in U.S history and massive flooding in Texas. Thousands of acres burned throughout the US, including the 273,400 acres Thomas Fire that quite literally burned right up to the hedges of Deirdre Hade’s home in the hills of Montecito before the mudslides levelled her property with boulders the size of cars.

Experts say we should brace ourselves for more and larger disasters to come. It’s no wonder so many are feeling deep anxiety and stress. How can we deal with all of this? How can we stay grounded and connected? Is there any hope or redemption to be found in these disasters?

Mystic and spiritual guide Deirdre Hade shares illuminating insight into the healing mystical experience in The Age of Surprise and shares the tools to navigate this age with grace, forbearance, humour and resilience. Find the calm in the chaos in the Age of Surprise.

Deirdre Hade is a born mystic and visionary. Dedicated to healing those who have suffered from trauma, pain, and loss, Deirdre founded the non?profit organization The Foundation for Radiance which has worked closely with the Women’s Prison Association of New York and Nuevo Amanecer (Sister Trinidad Lopez’s program for women rescued from abuse and sexual slavery in East Los Angeles). She designed My Angel Pillow with Kellee White to bring the healing comfort of angels to children in hospitals all across the country.

A keeper of the World Peace Flame and founding member of the Association for Transformational Leaders of Southern California, Deirdre is a member of Jack Canfield’s Transformational Leadership Council, an organization of 150 world leaders in the field of personal transformation (including John Grey and Marianne Williamson). Deirdre’s teachings on the Power of Meditation are featured alongside the writings of other modern-day spiritual luminaries such as Neale Donald Walsch and Don Miguel Ruiz. She has been honoured by Dr. Iziz Fuqua and the Circles of Light, receiving the F.L.O.W.E.R. award for her pioneering work in energy healing. She has also been knighted by the Sovereign Order of the Knights Hospitallers of St. John of Jerusalem for her humanitarian work.

26166788_10155890552841760_4515208742381513846_nA profound sensitive and psychic, Deirdre headed off to college at 17, determined to get a degree in anthropology. A chance meeting with Joseph Campbell, American mythologist and author of Hero with a Thousand Faces changed the course of her life. “Don’t go into anthropology,” he told her. “It will ruin your gift. You already have what we are all looking for.”

That same auspicious year, Deirdre was given a photocopy of the then unknown book, A Course in Miracles. For months, she voraciously studied the texts. This, along with her mentors in the southern gospel churches, gave her innately scientific mind a spiritual foundation. (Her parents were research scientists in biochemistry and physiology). At 16 she and her mother had a spiritual awakening allowing her mother with terminal breast cancer to live 13 years longer than expected. This became the foundational work for Deirdre’s Radiance Healing and Meditation System. Deirdre went on to have a successful dance career working with Robert Joffery, founder of The Joffery Ballet NYC, Frank Borman of the Royal Ballet of England to name a few. She founded an inner-city dance program for disadvantaged youth in the Memphis / Mid-South Region. Her Company, Celebrations of the Sacred, was a pioneer in the field of sacred dance.

Deirdre’s inner gifts and search for self-discovery brought her under the mentorship of elders and teachers in the mystical Christian tradition, the “I Am Presence” teachings, the Hindu Vedic tradition and Mussar and Lurianic Kabbalah, which she studied for over 20 years under the tutelage of two esteemed Rabbis in Los Angeles. Deirdre is overwhelmingly grateful to her mentor in personal psychology and women’ studies former head of USC Psychology dept. Dr. Lawanda Katzman Staenberg.

In 2004 Deirdre founded Radiance Healing and Meditation now simply called The Radiance Journey, a system of energy healing and mystical wisdom from the ancient knowledge of the Kabbalah’s Tree of Life. To date, Deirdre has given Radiance personal healing sessions and Radiance Journey Retreats to thousands. At The Omega Institute, The ACADEMI of Life, Urban Zen Center and Deepak home base in NYC, The Evolutionary Healing Institute in Miami, Florida, The Chopra Center at  La Costa , Canyon Ranch Resort and Montecito’s own Sacred Space. In 2018 she will be the main presenter at the Kripala Center in Stockbridge, Mass.

Her Radiance Pure Energy Program for energetic clearing and healing has been sold in over 132 countries. Deirdre’s book, The (not so) Little Book of Surprises, released in 2016, was presented by Donna Karan to a standing-room-only audience at her Urban Zen Center in New York City. Recently married, she and her husband William Arntz have created The Mystic and the PhysicistAn Exploration Into The Vanishing Point Where Science and Spirituality Meet presented to standing room only at Deepak Homebase, NYC this fall. They are currently filming this as a series.

While being an author is first and foremost, he still continues his 43-year career in money management with a small number of clients. In addition, as a veteran himself, he has a passion for helping veterans return to a normal life. Seeing the struggles of PTSD, sleep deprivation, and suicide that face veterans, he and wife Gerri, have set up a non-profit foundation, Songs and Stories for Soldiers. This amazing foundation distributes MP3 packages free to veterans and injured active duty men and women in hospitals who are trying to return to normal life. The web site songsandstoriesforsoldiers.us allows veterans to download from over 3 million songs, over 100,000 audio books, 30,000 old time radio shows and 4 additional 8-hour sleep audios, all for free.

Songs and Stories for Soldiers is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation dedicated to providing free, customizable electronic entertainment for members of the American Military, both active and retired. We will be providing MP3 players, with headsets and USB connection cable or the most recent technology, free to American Military. We will start with active duty wounded, and as their needs are met we will branch out to Veterans and VA hospitals across the United States.

Helping those with P.T.S.D.

PTSD is a disorder that develops in some people who have experienced a shocking, scary, or dangerous event.

It is natural to feel afraid during and after a traumatic situation. Fear triggers many split-second changes in the body to help defend against danger or to avoid it. This “fight-or-flight” response is a typical reaction meant to protect a person from harm. Nearly everyone will experience a range of reactions after trauma, yet most people recover from initial symptoms naturally. Those who continue to experience problems may be diagnosed with PTSD. People who have PTSD may feel stressed or frightened even when they are not in danger.

Helping Veterans sleep.

When you have lived in trauma and are in pain, sleep avoids you, Dan’s organization has wonderful music programs that help Veterans sleep.

Author and master storyteller Dan Perkins presents the first book in his trilogy about terrorism against the United States. The first in the series, The Brotherhood of the Red Nile, A Terrorist Perspective, has propelled him to national acclaim with interviews on radio, television and in print. With the second instalment, The Brotherhood of the Red Nile, America Rebuilds, we get a closer look into the mind of an ingenious writer. Picking up where book one ends, book two delivers more intrigue and mystery while striking terror in the hearts of readers as we ask the question: How in the world can we stop this from happening?

TSM/LOM 18-07 Heart Thread Healing our Scars

Their Story Matters and “for the LOVE of Music” with Sara Troy and her guest Raphael Weisman, on air from February 13th

Raphael says that there is a deep longing arising in the hearts of so many I have spoken with for community. Not just a group of friends with whom to share common visions and goals, but living communities where children can grow up in safety, where people can live in harmony with the Earth, producing healthy food and providing for the needs of the elderly and respect for all life and everyone, as well as the creatures, the elements and Mother Earth. I have carried this vision for so many years now and have considered a particular piece of land in Northern New Mexico as holding a tremendous potential to be this vision in manifestation. It is where I would also like to create a healing sanctuary where the vision and purposes of Healing The Scars can manifest. I am revisiting my older drafts of this community vision to generate a vision outline and proposal for the establishment of this community and the residential trauma centre.

Healing the Scars, Inc is a New Mexico non profit organization that was founded as a container for the purpose of spreading HeartThread around the world and providing services, programs, relief and tools for those affected by the devastating effects of war, violence, abuse and trauma and for the training of providers of these services. HTS is a vehicle for the ministry of Raphael Weisman, the founder. This ministry offers a comprehensive approach to providing assistance that weaves together a variety of modalities such as HeartThread, Art-, Dance- and Music- Therapies, professional and ministerial counselling services, Nature and Animal oriented programs, sustainable agriculture programs, spiritual and somatic practices and ceremony.R is committed to bringing healing and comfort to those who benefit from the sound of the harp, seeing this vibration as a force for healing on the planet. He has developed a line of Therapy harps for use by those who are working with sick or dying patients. These new models also provide a line of economy harps which allow beginners to purchase an entry level harp at an affordable price, thus proliferating the use of harps in the world.

Vihuela

The name Lorien was inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings, and is the home of the elves. The founder of Harps of Lorien, Inc, Raphael Weisman somewhat resembles an Elf himself. He has been making instruments and been involved in creative artwork for over 30 years. He studied Musical Instrument technology and design in London and was one of the few instrument builders in the forefront of the revival of Early Music in Europe. He built Lutes, Bandoras, Orpharions, Renaissance Guitars, and other instruments based on originals that survived the ravages of time and ended up in museums around the world. He researched and specialized in the manufacture of the Vihuela, the predecessor of the guitar, spending a year making a replica of the only surviving instrument found in a museum in Paris, an intricately decorated bass instrument from around 1500, believed to originate in Moorish Spain

TBT.18-06 Understanding grief and surviving it more effectively

“Thoughts Become Things: International”  with Neomaya Davila aka Neo Positivity and his guest  Anne DeButte, on air from February 6th.

Anne DeButte is a personal coach, specializing in grief from loss and guides women to make the transition from pain to happiness.  When asked “why women” – “because men rarely ask”.

She enjoyed a 32-year career in healthcare and it only took 4 days of retirement before she restarted her career as a Grief Coach and author.  Her 1st book Grief’s Abyss Finding Your Pathway to Peace can be found on Amazon. This is her guidebook, giving you insights into the grieving process and one she needed after the death of her father.  Her articles have been featured in the online magazine “The Magic Happens”.  CTV and Rogers TV (Ottawa) have both invited her to speak to their audience about grief.  Her main mission is to help the Western World realize the importance of grieving. When Anne isn’t at her desk coaching or writing, she can be found on the golf course or curled up with a good book in front of the fire at her home in Ottawa, Canada.

The other loves in her life are her husband Ray and their 4 adult children, coffee, & wine!  If you want to bore her present her with stats or a balance sheet, or as her husband says their checking account.  She hates -30-degree weather when your nose hair freeze, inauthenticity and golfing with geese poop under the ball. She left her native UK to make Canada her home because you get 4 seasons! Snow for Christmas and 30-degree Summers. Flowers and blossoms in May and glorious fiery reds of the maple trees in the Fall. What could be better than that.
