Grandmother Kaariina Saarinen M.Ed.Coun. is a holder and keeper of her maternal Grandmother’s Medicine Bundle.

Her greatest passion is empowering the genius of young ones, as well as engaging olders through conversation and ceremonies to step into LIVING LEGACIES and initiations into Eldership.

She has lived three distinct stages of the FUll Wheel of LIfe.
A 15-year career as a guidance counsellor in secondary schools revealed a particular knowingness. Student clients walked amongst family constellations as well as ancestors. In those early professional years, Kaariina realized that she was a seer and had the wisdom to intuit what these youth were not saying! Her rapport was strong and those relationships thrived, developing into a peer counselling programme focussed upon bridging the middle years with adolescent rites!

We live in these uncalibrated times when there are generations so unaware of the potency of thoughts beliefs and words, that actions actually hinder their own liberation as well as the liberation of the genius of their children and grandchildren.

AND we also live in the times of the Spiritual Emergence; a time between times when we can serve as the tipping points as the acupuncture needles and release ancestral and epigenetic traumas from our own biologies and resanctify them; as well as release this earth body

For that I am sure Pachamama and Gaia and Mawu and Mother earth would only heave a sigh of relief rather than continuing to volcanically express shake us up with our earthquakes of awakening or tornado through our midwestern minds!

My name is Grandmother Kaariina; Kaa is the soul body RII is compassion in action and NA is the nothing from which everything comes and to which everything returns.

I am a bloodline shamanka and I have passed many initiations and tests in order to stand for this climate change that begins inside each and every one of our hearts.

I serve as one of 7 abuellas for the Danza de Luna in Costa Rica, and offered a voice for Grandmothers at the eagle Quetzal Condor gathering of wisdom keepers in Sedona Arizona this past April.  I bow down to my abuella Marguerita Nuez and my elders including Sequoia trueblood , and our spirit grandfathers: grandfather William Commanda, Gfather Silver Fox, Gfather White Buffalo…..and my blood family! the weather of our minds the climate of our hearts and the reflections in our relationships all of them including and especially with our wild ancestral relatives is what wakes me up in the morning and why sometimes I retreat into the forests along wild rivers along the lakes of our lives and now into the jungles of the solitude times to earth listen….

we are aligned with several other sistars all of whom are offering warrior goddess trainings and womb clearings as well as an attunement to the Thirteen Moons, to rites of passage as women and initiations to an adventurous life!

Rafael Dos Santos is Director of the ‘This Foreigner Can’ social enterprise

FullSizeRenderAndre Rafael dos Santos is a Brazilian entrepreneur who moved to London from Sao Paulo – one of the world’s largest cities – in 2001 to learn English.  He started out doing menial jobs to pay his way but before long Rafael decided to turn his experience of living in flat-shares into a property business. In 2005 he launched londonup.com, a small business that manages and lets rooms in flat-shares. Since then, Rafael has found rooms for more than 2000 young professionals from all over the world. Rafael wrote a book ‘Moving Abroad – One Step at a Time‘, published by Panoma Press, which is dedicated to helping people who are moving to another country. ‘I want people to understand each stage of their journey abroad, conquer their fears, celebrate their achievements and live a happy life while away from their home country’. The book has been translated into 5 languages and explains the 5 stages one goes through when moving to a new city.  In 2014 he launched the startup, Room in the Moon, a social network that connects people who are moving or planning to live abroad. Ileana Collazo's photoI learned all I needed about creating art as a young girl in my grandmother’s garden—where I sat doing what as an adult I call meditating—that quiet spot, became my temple.

Many years passed before I began to birth the creations conceived in my early daydreams. I started to write fiction and poetry, and then my mind exploded into a galaxy of colors, shapes, and, movement, as I started to paint (on surfaces, digitally, and then included digital photography to my artistic spectrum); creating dream worlds that entice observers to travel through my work surface has become one of my key life purposes.  My art is representative of the twists and turns we take in the course of our daily lives, and of the awe-inspiring beauty that surrounds us.

My work is my gift to the world, and to everyone who falls in love with it.

I was born in Cuba; and have lived in Spain, New York, Vermont, and Massachusetts. I now reside in Miami, Florida where I work and play at Collazo Art Studio with my artist husband Miguel, three dogs, and a cat named Monkey.

This is a long-overdue project the artist has been sub-consciously creating since her childhood, and one she plans to continue working on for the rest of her life.
Her hope is to create a collective of like-minded men and women creatives to collaborate on a global project that will yield funds through art sales/sponsorships which will be partially donated to improve women’s lives around the globe; as well as provide well-deserved revenue for artists that dedicate their lives to creating thought-provoking, life-impacting works that benefit society at large.

Bill Mackie “Miracles in life don’t just happen, you live by making them happen”

When everything is broken look to doing it a different way. We never know what we are capable of until we have to face doing something differently. Bill Mackie has had to face many adversities in life, both physical and mental but chose to see them as a gift and discover what this gift means for mankind. 
We talk about Bill’s many life challenges and look at how humor has been a coping and healing factor in his life. We will look at each one of these statements and understand the depth of meaning and attitude needed to thrive in one’s life.

A Series of fortunate events…

Here is the incredible journey in life Bill has taken to becoming the man that his is today…

Footnote: CDA stands for Commonly Diagnosed As

    • He was born with WV (Wonky Vision).
      CDA: Detached eye muscles (surgically corrected).
      Treatment: He participated in sports that require very rapid and accurate visual-physical reaction, co-ordination and timing. and became a very competitive go-cart, auto, motorcycle, power boat and snowmobile racer.
    • He was born with OCP (Obsessive Compulsive Phenomenon).
      CDA Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
      Treatment: Spent he spent his life trying to resolve the chicken & egg controversy only to realize one day that he becomes a highly respected Metaphysicist in the process.
    • He has survived 3 life threatening bouts of IST (Invincibility Stress Testing).
      CDA: Life Threatening Injury or Trauma. First time at the age of 10 after breaking his back the doctors told his parents that he would not be able to walk again without undergoing surgery.and even then he still might end up in a wheelchair.
      Treatment: He refused surgery and taught himself how to walk again just to prove them wrong. Bill has now survived 4 broken back injuries and still walks 5 miles a day!
    • He has survived 3 life threatening bouts of ABA (Accidental Brain Alterations).
      CDA: Brain Trauma Injuries
      Treatment: He became an entrepreneur, successful corporate executive, activist, legal adviser, mathematician, physicist, engineer, scientist, graphic designer, writer, desktop publisher, psychologist and a meta-physicist, only to discover that he was just a simple mortal man born with a very complex mind and a perfectly flawed brain
    • He lives with CSUS (Can’t Stand Up Straight)
      CDA: Scoliosis
      Treatment: He took up long distance walking, extreme mountain biking, off road dirt bike racing, freestyle mogul and aerial skiing and downhill speed ski racing and despite all this he still can’t live by walking to follow a straight line in life…
    • He lives with ITnS (Involuntary Twist n Shout).
      CDA: Parkinson’s Disease
      Treatment: He took out his iPod put on his headphones, cranked up the volume and transformed into a full-time Dancin’ Fool and believe it or not has never had so much fun in his life!
    • He lives with JDFMN (Joints Don’t Fail Me Now)
      CDA: Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis
      Treatment: He became a writer, artist, musician and spokesman for the betterment of humanity
    • He lives with NBB (No Back Bone)
      CDA Degenerative Bone Disease
      Treatment: He became an activist fighting for global legal Human Rights and Political reforms.
    • He lives with LSD (Limited Shock Dissipation)
      CDA: Herniated, compressed and bulging discs
      Treatment: He slowed down so he could enjoy creating new opportunities to pursue in life
    • He was diagnosed with TTBA (Thankful to be Alive)!
      CDA: Chronic Debilitating Pain
      Treatment: He gives thanks every day for receiving all of these gifts because they create the opportunities that enable him to live a very purposeful, meaningful and productive life!

TSM 15/37 The Holistic Cure for Barrett’s Disease and Living a Life

ChristineM-0442-Edit copyMy journey with Nutrition, Health and Wellness began when I was an infant.  I know that it may sound odd to say that, but it is true.  From my earliest days on this plane, I suffered from Digestive issues, as do many babies born each day.  My entire life was consumed by stomach attacks from Acid Reflux, IBS, GERD, and Dehydration, but it wasn’t until I reached my mid-20’s and found myself in an ER three times in 3 months that I decided something had to change!

At that point, I was diagnosed with Barrett’s Disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease Barrett’s esophagus is a serious complication of GERD, which stands for gastroesophageal reflux disease. In Barrett’s esophagus, normal tissue lining the esophagus — the tube that carries food from the mouth to the stomach — changes to tissue that resembles the lining of the intestine.

It was recommended that I see a Holistic Nutritionist, and that is where my healing began. I started to make small changes that impacted my life in big ways.  A few years later, when my son was born with similar issues, I decided it was time to make even more changes and began living a different lifestyle. He became my inspiration and driving force for wanting to help other moms learn how to take better care of their own families and themselves.

Today, I am embarking on a new journey and reaching out to help others that need some inspiration, knowledge and support in living a better life.  I call my business, Moms Coach for Life because I specialize in Moms, babies and children of all ages. I have devoted my own life to research, experimentation, networking, and have gained tons of experience on how to raise a Healthy child.  I know that I can help moms to heal themselves and their families through food. Even if you think that you don’t need healing now, we must all be proactive about our health and so it should be a priority to protect the health of yourself and your loved ones.  I can teach you how to do this in a manageable way that will positively affect all areas of your life.

This is the story that drew me to Christine and her story.

The day when my entire life changed was 13 years ago.

I stood in front of the Dr as he told me I had precancerous cells growing in my esophagus. There was nothing to do but to monitor me and watch to see if it became Cancer.

My mind frantically searched for an answer, and when it didn’t have the Solution for this problem, it went blank.

A calm feeling overcame me, and I heard my Inner Voice say- you are well. Go and allow your body to Heal.

In that moment, I took back the Power that I had been giving away for years while I had been Searching, Pushing and Forcing my way through life.

I found the Power within me.

I Discovered Truths that I had never known. A new way of living life.

My Inner Voice Brought me to this level of FREEDOM, to clearly see what was True and to Choose to live life Another way.

I Found Healing for my Body, my Mind and my Spirit.

What I learned, I became Inspired to TEACH others. I used my VOICE (the one that I almost lost) to Spread the Messages of Power, Truth and Healing that is available to everyone.

My Confidence grew as I practiced Tuning-In to my own Inner Voice and follow my Intuition as I lived my life.

I stepped into my Role of being a Leader, as a Coach and Motivational Speaker for other women who desire to do for themselves what I have done for myself.
