Broken Open is an erotic novella about a love triangle, an unexpected friendship between a man’s wife and his mistress, and the journey these two women take through the elite clubs, museums, and restaurants of New York City. A lifelong resident of Manhattan, Robin holds an MFA from Columbia University and a BA from Sarah Lawrence College.  She is also co-producing an upcoming Off-Broadway play called CONSENT, about erotic role play.

Quinoa Salad

imagesfff3 cups cooked quinoa (see recipe below for cooking instructions)

1 carrot, sliced

1 green onion, chopped

½ cup roasted sunflower seeds

Combine all ingredients and toss with vinaigrette dressing.  (You will not need to use all of the vinaigrette dressing recipes to cover salad; use about ¼-? cup of dressing for this salad).  To make a more complete meal, add cut-up cooked chicken, beef, sausage or cooked legumes.

To cook quinoa

Measure 1 cup of quinoa into a pot and fill the pot with cold water.  Using your hands, wash quinoa in the cold water by swishing it around.  Use a strainer to drain the quinoa.  Place quinoa back into the pot and add 1½ cups of cold water and  ½ teaspoon of sea salt.  You may also add 1 teaspoon of coconut oil for extra flavour and for good fats added to the diet.  Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and cook for 14-16 minutes.  Quinoa should be light, fluffy and moist-looking when cooked.

Yields 3 cups of cooked quinoa.

Val’s Vinaigrette

? cup olive oil

½ cup lemon juice

? cup balsamic vinegar

3 tablespoons  maple syrup

2 teaspoons Dijon mustard

2 teaspoons dried basil

4 garlic cloves, crushed

salt, pepper to taste

Place all in a glass jar and shake.

Sarah Hoskin ClymerSarah Hoskin Clymer, Intuitive Life Coach, Pilgrim Guide, and Sacred Dreamer, first experienced the gifts of the pilgrimage path in 2009, when she walked the last 170 kilometres of the ancient path of the Camino de Santiago in Spain. She then returned to walk different sections of the Camino in Spain and France in 2010 and 2012, and last summer, walked solo along ancient earth energy lines in southwestern England, in the land of her ancestors.

Through her walks along sacred paths, Sarah re-connected with the deep strength of her feminine soul remembered the truth of who she is, and embraced her soul’s path.

The second is the Avalon Pilgrimage in early September.  This is a 5 day walking pilgrimage across the Somerset Flats into Glastonbury, England, considered to be the Heart Chakra of the Earth.  This is the precursor to a 8 day Glastonbury Pilgrimage that will include special tour of Glastonbury and a labyrinth walk up the Glastonbury Tor, a specially arranged early dawn visit into the center of Stonehenge, a visit to Avebury Stone Circle, an evening ceremony in the West Kennet Long Barrow, and a goddess ceremony in Glastonbury.
