Tune in this week as Jackie discusses her experience in communicating with animals.  How often have you had finished having a conversation…only to find it was with your pet?  Did you dismiss it as being crazy, or say to yourself you were just talking to yourself?  Often time these conversations can happen in our head but just as often they are out loud.

Communicating with our furry family members (in our rational minds) seems harder to validate.  Listen in as Jackie gives you a process to try and help you receive validation or more confidence that what you are hearing is true. As with anything we must listen…and trust what we receive.

In an attempt to share a message from our animal friends, Jackie pulls a card from Animal Messages Deck by Susie Green.  The Animal Card that presented itself was the Butterfly, listen in to hear what her message is to all of us right now.

14/20 Personalized Daily Nutritional Intake.

Aired May 19th- on Empower Hour with Coach Brandi and her guest Collin Ruiz who joins Coach Brandi on Empower Hour and shares with us why daily Collinnutritional intake should be personalised to the person eating it because what works great for one person’s body could be detrimental to another. Collin will be discussing how the physical, mental and emotional bodies are affected by the foods consumed and how she determines the best foods for your body specifically.

Collin Ruiz, MS, is a nutritionist using muscle testing to cut through all the nutritional options; fad diets, superfoods, herbs and supplements to raise up the level of health of her clients.  By exploring which foods support the individual, the client has the power to make a big impact on their health and change their life.

I earned my Masters of Science in Human Nutrition from Colorado State University.  I have experience building supportive nutritional plans for extreme athletes, pregnant women, young children, and clients suffering from any number of diseases as well as those undergoing treatments for cancer.

I design a nutritional course of action to address the immediate concerns and ongoing wellbeing.  Everybody is unique and I strive to help each client integrate a balanced eating plan into their lives.  Through this entire process, I will gently guide each person to listen to their own body and validate their internal wisdom.

14/19 Eggs; an excellent choice!

Aired May 12th on Vibrational Eating with Val MacDonald

On this show, Val explores a few of the choices available to us when it comes to the selection and the quality of eggs.  She also debunks the common belief that eggs contribute to high cholesterol in the body.  And then at the end of the show, Val talks you through how to make the perfect soft-boiled egg!

downloadSo, first, you take a couple of large eggs. In a small pot on the stove, place only ½ an inch of water and bring this to a boil.  When it comes to a boil, place your eggs into the water.  I like to use tongs or a large spoon.  Gently place them into the water as if you place them too hard, they may crack.

Put the lid on the pot.  Now set a timer for 6 minutes.  If you’re using medium eggs, set the timer for 5 minutes.  After one minute, turn the stove down to low.  Allow timer to finish.  When finished, turn off the stove and remove your eggs.  You can serve them in egg cups or just in a bowl.  To open them, I find it easiest to crack them with the side of a spoon while they rest in a bowl.  Soft boiled eggs are great served with toast in the morning, with a little salt and pepper added, or they can be incorporated into your lunch by adding them to a salad or a sandwich.
