14/1 Leila and Othello are well on their way prt 3

Airing Jan 6th and 8th and 10th on Calm People make calm pets with Josh Goodstadt.

We’ve done it!! Leila and Othello are well on their way.  Even though they experience more losing then winning at competitions, they continue to move forward and eventually are one competition away from qualifying for the next major level towards the Olympics. One evening after one of Leila’s dressage tests she informs me that they have actually been struggling in the dressage department for sometime.  Dressage is one of the most important elements in 3day eventing.  It sets the pace for the rest of the competition.  Without a strong finish in dressage the chances of qualifying are slim.  We need a solution. Scan BMP (2)Here I tell a remarkable story about a horse named Othello and the trials and tribulations that followed from the day he was born.  From the beginning Leila and Othello did not get along but this horses talent was to much to over look, Othello could possibly take her to the Olympics. This story, all told from first person accounts, is testimony of how one animal can change the way you look at them and yourself.  Sometimes solutions to the biggest problems come from the strangest places. This not a picture of Othello.

Happy New Year everyone and remember the animals this season.

0079 How R U Coping with New Year Resolutions?

Positive Living Vibrations with Sara Troy and her guest Josh Goodstradt.Aired January 2nd /13

How are you coping with your New Year resolutions? Is the intent there but not the conviction? do you know WHY you want to do it? Do you desire an outcome that is achievable?

imagestttJosh and I welcome the year and speak to the intent of making changes in our lives and not ignoring the why or becoming addictive to replace another addiction.

It is good to make a goal, but it must be within what we can cope with and not be unrealistic. Understanding that it is all about the permission to love and value one’s self and not live up to societies of families expectations. Personal growth is a must if we wish to grow in life.

00015 Origin of Dangerous Dogs

Airing week of 12-16/16/20-2013 on “Calm people make calm pets” with Josh Goodstadt.

pestI continue my discussion of dangerous dogs and how they got that way.  I discuss the human element that exists within the problem of dangerous dogs, and that even though a breed of dog is known to be violent, there are many cases of the same breed where no violent behavior can be found.

Most-Aggressive-Dogs-621x325It is all in the way you love train and respect and understand what impact you have on the dog..
