Airing January 13th-19TH on Ask Sara with Sara Troy

The Energy of Life lies within us, how will you embrace your life’s energy this year?images (35)

Every item, atom, thought, belief,  person, land, sky, water is energy. When we give positive energy in belief with love and CHOOSE to act in belief and love, we can make our life’s energy productive and purposeful in our own loves.

What kind of energy are you going to put out this year? How are you going to great this year? Where are you going to spend this energy? and How are you going to sustain this positive productive energy in your life?

I have an invitation to join us in the development of your own Fractal Social Network by playing your “Game of Living Fractals” /living-orchard/d-i-v-a-discovery/

It starts with a belief, a positive thought, an open heart, and a very open mind. Invite your soul and heart to guide you to living in your energies truth this 2015 and with understanding of how you make your choices.

P15/02a Stillness in Mind=Inner Peace

Originally Aired January 13th-19th on Positive Living Vibrations with Sara Troy and her guest Simon Cole.

Invest in your mind body and soul this 2015 and get away to where you can find A Still Mind

mi1_1

Simon Cole was born in the south-west of England, where he also grew up, before launching into a first career in business as an economist. Some years later, following the start of a more pastoral passage of his life as a volunteer with the Samaritans and youth leader in the Methodist Church, he gained a distinction and special award with his Masters in Counselling. For some 30 years now he has been working as a counsellor, therapist and trainer in various settings, including the Health Service and private client work and course director of a counsellor training programme.

Simon cropped copyEight years ago he moved with his wife to south-west France to start a retreat centre in the foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains, which lie between France and Spain, rising in the Mediterranean Sea in the east and descending into the Atlantic in the west. Here, now, he practices a ‘therapy of mindfulness, counselling and nature, incorporating creative therapeutic work with counselling, teaching mindfulness and meditation’, writing, and, of course, walking in the surrounding hills and mountains. Le Sentier Tranquille, which means ‘the quiet path’, hosts individuals, couples and small groups in a residential setting, which offers privacy without isolation to its guests, and where the sense of community, sharing the evening meal prepared by Janet in the French tradition of table d’hôte, is considered an essential element of the therapy.

download (12)Le Sentier Tranquille saw the writing of Simon’s book “Stillness in Mind”, as a way to offer to a reader an experience a little like a stay in the Centre, as well as to give guests a means of reconnecting with their experience and maintaining the momentum of change in their lives. In it he offers a different way of looking at mindfulness and sets out the Clear Space Meditation Path, a non-religious meditation practice which connects with the teachings of key western therapy exponents and philosophers

“For me, Stillness in Mind and Le Sentier Tranquille are inseparable,” says Simon, “and alongside our quiet path, always, is the majestic beauty of the mountains of Pyrène.”

images (15)

It is a NEW YEAR and is a very good time to invest in yourself. First, we have, to be honest with ourselves and the lives we are currently living, are we serving ourselves or crippling our lives? Pat in her honesty shares with us her path of alcoholic destruction and how she finally placed value upon her own life to become a beacon of hope, care and nurturing for others in recovery. We to can overcome when we decide, to be honest about our choices.

Patricia A. Reihl, MPA, LCADC

Pat at PodiumCounsellor and Author

Patricia Reihl has worked in the addiction field since 1977. After securing a nursing license, she began a career as a counsellor in a social setting detox, and next worked as a nurse in a 28-day residential program. In 1980 she went to work in a hospital-based outpatient program where she developed and directed a special outpatient track for female clients.

In 1981 Pat became Director of Spring House, a female halfway house in Paramus, New Jersey. During her tenure, the program was taken from the brink of closing to the largest female halfway house in the State. Spring House serves today as a national and international model. Ms. Reihl has returned many women to the community as sober, productive members of society and has become a role model for the women she serves.

Throughout the years she returned to college to complete both a Bachelor and Master Degree. This schooling qualified Pat to serve on numerous national committees and boards. In addition, she represented halfway houses on a sub-committee of the American Society of Addictive Medicine and become a member of the faculty at the Rutger’s Summer School of Alcohol and Drug Studies. She has instructed professionals across the Country and Europe.
