Aired 07-25-2013  Presenting Paul Bissonnette

Paul finds the sound of the gong to be like hearing the vibration of the Universe. Uni being one and verse being a string of feelings expressed together with the one true feeling.

PaulPaul was introduced to the gong and singing bowls in 2004 by Grand Gongmaster Don Conreaux. After his first experience with this vibrational energy, Paul was hooked and began playing and singing gong. As Don would say this is “The Way of the Gong.”

Paul is a Gong master, a certified transformational breath facilitator/ teacher trainer, and practices living the shaman way. Paul believes that by combining breath with the gong overtones anything is possible.

Paul welcomes an opportunity to introduce you to “The Way of the Gong”, Transformational Breath, and energy medicine. Contact Paul for a private Sound/Breath healing session in the office or at your home. : 07-16-2013

Introducing Laurie Nadel on awakening your soul truth.

Laurie Nadel, Ph.D. has a dual career in psychology and journalism.  She spent 20 years as a journalist for major American news organizations, including CBS News and wrote “Long Island at Worship,” a religion column for The New York Times.   A featured blogger for Huffington Post, she has published six books to date, including  the four-time best-seller Sixth Sense:  Unlocking Your Ultimate Mind Power.  Dr. Laurie has appeared on Oprah and Coast-to-Coast AM with Art Bell and George Noory . Happiness Genes: Unlock the Positive Potential within Your DNA, co-authored with Jim Baird, won the USA Best Book award for the Best Spirituality book of 2011. Her 2001 memoir Dancing with the Wind was nominated for a National Book Award. On the corporate circuit, Dr. Laurie has taught intuitive leadership and problem-solving to CEO’s and executives at such organizations as Eli Lilly and Company, The Rockefeller Foundation, and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.  (www.unlockyoursixthsense.com)
dscf8687a-2-201x300A member of the International Coaching Federation, Dr. Laurie has a global practice. Having studied with shamans and remote viewers, she offers intuitive consultations and customized programs for individuals coping with trauma and stress.
After her home was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy, Dr. Laurie launched a free weekly support group at Long Beach City  Hall for  people who are struggling with traumatic stress reactions. For two and a half years, she directed a program for teenagers whose fathers were killed on the September 11th attack on the World Trade Center.  In 1989, she founded The Committee to Protect Journalists, a human rights organization for journalists.
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:  Defined as “the sudden, spontaneous knowing of something without the conscious use of reasoning,”  intuition is a natural ability that everyone has to a certain degree. Also known as the sixth sense,  intuitive intelligence can be compared to artistic or musical ability.  For example,  anyone can learn how to play “Chopsticks” on the piano but only a few can play Mozart at Carnegie Hall. And there is only one Mozart. Many breakthrough scientific discoveries can be attributed to an intuitive “Eureka!” moment:  Albert Einstein credited intuition with his discovery of the Theory of Relativity.  Kekule, the father of organic chemistry, spent 17 years trying to mathematically prove the structure of the benzene molecule when he had a dream about a snake eating its tail. He attributed his intuition with solving the problem in his dream state.  And who can forget Archimedes discovering the principles of displacement while sitting naked in his bathtub?  Inspired by this “aha!” moment, he ran naked down the street shouting “Eureka!” meaning, “I have found it.”

In this one-day workshop, you will learn how to find, identify, and trust your intuition so that you can apply towards a real-life issue.  You will learn how to:
. Identify an authentic intuitive experience.
. Create an operative metaphor for your sixth sense.
. Recognize your personal signal:  visual, auditory, or kinesthetic.
. Communicate with your sixth sense so that you can access it when you need it.
. The characteristics of intuitive thinking, feeling and behavior.
. Model an intuitive genius.
. Trust your sixth sense to be there for you when you need it.
. Program your intuition to help you solve problems while you dream

Christina Waschko. It is never too late to live your dream.

Christina is born and bred German.

Upon request of her father she became a real estate agent but, that job wasn’t  for her. Throughout her early years Christina always knew what she didn’t want to do and was never really sure what she wanted to do with her life!Christina Waschko author

At the age of 22 she left Germany to escape her all encompassing, over  protective, dream crashing parents. She ended up in Australia, on her quest of no return,

Australia became her home for five years. During her time Downunder, she also  lived on the Fiji Islands for 6 months  and another 6 months in Florida. .

As fate will have it, during a trip to the Bahamas she saw her future. It presented itself as a beachfront cafe on Paradise Islands. From that moment on wards her dream was born: To one day own a beachfront cafe on a Caribbean Island.

In Australia she met her boy-friend, now husband and she became a fitness instructor.

Together they moved to London. After five years in the UK they moved to The Netherlands where she finally opened up her dream, a coffee lounge with the name of Strawberry Lounge.

Apart from the location, Strawberry Lounge became Christina’s dream come true.

One and a half years ago the family moved to Canada for a new chapter in their lives. During their first year  Christina wrote and published her book “Verry Berry Extra-Ordinary” A Mother, her Teenage Dream & Recipes for a Buzzing Business.  This book is full of cost efficient ideas of how to make your business stand out from the crowd. It is a very inspiring, entertaining and easy to read book.

Today, for the seventh time in her life she is recreating herself – this time as author, blogger and speaker.

0011 What do Cranes and Sex Slave Trafficking have in common?

Positive Living Vibrations with Sara Troy and her guest Annette LeBox and the discovery on sex trafficking. Originally Aired: 07-04-2013

annetteheadshot-copy1-150x150Annette LeBox was born in England in 1943 during the Second World War.  Her father, a Canadian soldier, was killed on D-Day at Juno Beach.  After the war, her mother, a British war bride, brought one-year-old Annette to Canada by ship, landing at Halifax’s Pier 41.

Annette was raised in Ontario, but during her twenties lived in Britain, Ireland and Spain before moving to her present home in British Columbia.  Through the sixties, she worked as a nurse’s aide, store clerk, bartender and bunny at a copycat Playboy Club, before becoming an elementary school teacher.  In 1994, she took a position as a Faculty Associate at Simon Fraser University, where she began Narrative Research under the mentorship of Dr. Ted Aoki.  It was through this work that she developed an interest in writing.  Soon after earning a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia, she published her first picture book, Miss Rafferty’s Rainbow Socks.

Many of Annette’s books are inspired by nature she has to date written six books, and we will discuss them today, but what intrigues me is what took her across the seas to China to discover more about cranes, but led her into another direction all together, today we are going to talk about her love of cranes, her many books on crane adventures but also how a book of a different topic altogether came about from that trip to China.

CircleCranes_FINALAfter retiring from teaching, she decided to go to China to do some research on Cranes but found a world that would lead her to write a magical realism book that has shown a shameful light on modern day slavery.

In 1996, HarperCollins published Annette’s first picture book, Miss Rafferty’s Rainbow Socks.  Since then, Annette has had four picture books and two YA novels published.

A new children’s book “Peace is an Offering,” is available now and I will be interviewing Annette on this book and others in July.

Many of Annette’s books are inspired by nature.  She was a founding member of a local environmental group, the Pitt Polder Preservation Society, a major stakeholder in the conservation of two regional parks, Blaney Bog in Maple Ridge and Codd Wetland in Pitt Meadows.  These ecosystems harbour both Greater Sandhill cranes and wild salmon.

Annette divides her time between her home in Maple Ridge and her remote cabin in the Cariboo region of central British Columbia, where she enjoys cross-country running and skiing, skating, hauling brush, and reading by the fire while listening to the howling of the wolves.

Annette is married to Michael Sather, an avid birdwatcher and fellow ‘craniac.’
