I’d like to start with Allium sativum, or garlic – not only out of respect for my Italian roots, but because it is quite possibly the most potently practical medicinal herb on the planet. We all know this strong-charactered little bulb for its delicious flavor and aroma, but I’m often baffled by how few people use it medicinally for its plethora of healing applications.
This wasn’t always the case. As recently as 60 years ago, garlic was a crucial component in the standard-issue medical kits that were carried by medics in both World War I and II to treat wounds. Its anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties have been praised for millennia.
In terms of versatility, there are very few herbs that compare to garlic. It is an effective blood thinner, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, anti-oxidant, and immune system stimulant that promotes heart health and is also proven to lower cholesterol.
My favorite use: garlic can literally knock out a cold or flu in less than 24 hours if used in conjunction with the right dietary protocol and adequate sleep.
The best way to take it? Raw. Yes, this can be intense, but if it’s a little hard on your palette imagine how uncomfortable it is for the critters in your gut that are making you feel lousy.
If I was only allowed to keep one herb in my medicine bag, garlic would be it.

Mental Health Awareness with Sara Troy and her guest Michael Fischer, on air from September 29th
HOMELESSNESS EXPERT: Community advocate and President of New York’s-Central Park South Civic Association, Michael Fischer, discusses the crisis-level homeless epidemic. The highest number since America’s Great Depression.
Over the past decade, Alison Eisinger has helped more than 1,000 people experiencing homelessness in Seattle register to vote. This year, despite the stakes involved in the U.S. presidential election in November, Eisinger isn’t making the same effort.
Seattle already has 7,000 individuals who lack shelter, a number that could swell if a moratorium on evictions is lifted.
“It would be irresponsible for us to think that voter registration is a top priority for someone who is wondering where they’ll get their next meal, or lay their head,” said Eisinger, who directs the King County Coalition on Homelessness, a nonprofit group. “Even for those of us who deeply, profoundly believe in the power of organizing and voter registration, we’re focused on other things, because that’s the nature of a crisis.”
The same dynamic holds true across the country. Between 30 and 40 million American households may face eviction this year, according to one recent study. A federal program to block evictions for a third of the renting population has expired, as have eviction moratoriums in more than half the 50 United States. Others may run out just weeks before the election.

Instead of wallowing in her misfortune Tur?ya allowed her pain to take her on an adventure of the mind. Already a practicing Buddhist, Tur?ya deepened her work, found relief from her pain, and founded a new school of Buddhism that captures Buddha’s advanced Tantric teachings and puts them into an American form of Buddhism designed for the modern world. Today she teaches hundreds of people from all over the world Trikaya, her unique form of Buddhism. Tur?ya’s story is fascinating and inspirational. Mental Health Awareness with Sara Troy and her guest Dr Klara Gubacs-Collins, on air from September 29th
A mind is a crazy place. How do you navigate across this jungle where the confusion is rife and chaos reigns to come out as the champion in your field?
“This is the time to crush your goals like never before”, they said. But there is something undefinable, percolating in your mind. Holding you back from achieving success. I’ve been in that spot many times.
Like several high achievers, I craved winning. For me it turned into winning that one last trophy to clinch my “grand slam”. When push came to shove? I was a complete disaster. Why now? I didn’t feel any different and won many times before.
Since this was the first time I really, consciously, wanted to “win” something. It was also the first time I crashed with my deep Inner Core Conflict (ICC).
I looked for help everywhere. You see, the traditional approaches were missing one key concept: getting to the deep-rooted cause of the problem in a step by step sequential manner. I realized that The Inner Core Conflict (ICC) is the main culprit that holds us back. With a champion’s effort I developed the most potent system that for over 10 years has helped professionals bring their best when it matters the most.
The Winning Mind Blueprint (WMB) is a 5-stage step-by-step system based on the combination of scientific and spiritual processes that creates radical transformation FAST!
While we all get tangled up in this negative mind chatter. High achievers fight through this conflict most of the time, but at a high price! You don’t have to FIGHT anymore! What if you could finally develop a Winning Mind, wake up every morning ready to tackle your next dream so you can start taking control of your time, energy and health?
NOW you can.
Winning my “Grand Slam” has been an ecstatic feeling! Let’s get you to perform to the best of your ability and become a champion in your practice, business, sports, and life! Feel free to reach out if you ever need any support and guidance on these tricky horses. We can get it done together in half the time.
