GUS19-10 Hiding one’s Metaphysical gift from the CATHOLIC Church

The World According to GUS with Charles Eduardos with his guest Tammy Manzo, on air from March 5th

On today’s show Charles speak to Tammy about her struggle to embrace her divine gift within a strict Catholic upbringing, a gift that could not be denied.

Tammy Manzo is married, has a teenage son and rescue Chihuahua, and is
interested in all things metaphysical. As a teenager she discovered astrology and had to hide it from strict Catholic parents. After going faithfully to tarot readers all through her twenty-something years, she finally decided to learn it for herself— just to see if what the readers were telling her was actually true! She discovered Reiki many years ago and is a Master/Teacher in both the Usui and  Practical Reiki modalities.

She teaches classes on metaphysical subjects at Polaris Career Institute in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. She does astrology readings and energy healings from her home and from a metaphysical shop in Sandusky called Divine Awakenings.

RW 19-10 Healthy Heart Community with Dr Lisa VanHoose

Recovering the Whole of you with Dr Kiti Adderly and her guest  Dr. Lisa VanHoose, on air from March 5th

The Ujima Institute was founded by Dr. Lisa VanHoose. As a physical therapist and researcher, she believes that individual and societal wellness requires village-like efforts.

The Ujima Institute is focused on improving the health and wellness of underserved communities with an emphasis on black communities. The institute provides a space for women to recharge so they can care for themselves, their families, and their communities (H.E.R. Village), community members to seek out rehab professionals who provide holistic care and education(H.E.A.L. Village), and all persons to participate and promote community based participatory research(C.A.R.E. Village). However, the Institute works due to the efforts of many, not just its owner and founder.

WHAT DO WE BELIEVE:
1. Healthy women are needed for healthy families and communities.
2. Communities need healthcare providers who demonstrate cultural humility, empathy, and a commitment to holistic, high quality care.
3. Research needs to be created, conducted, and communicated with community members to have the greatest impact.

We, The Ujima Institute, are people and organizations from all walks of life committed to improving our communities. We represent patients, caregivers, health care providers, elected officials, clinics, organizations, and others. We are focused on improving the wellness of communities. We respect and engage the voices and expertise of all. We truly believe in collective work and responsibility.

HT19-09 Transforming in Self Discovery with Sara Troy

Holistic Transformations with Dianne Shaver  and her guest Sara Troy, on air from January 29th

Dianne interviews Sara Troy owner and host on Self Discovery Media (formally Self Discovery Radio) on the challenges and rewards of hosting and owning  Media Network.

Discussion of what we need in our culture right now – consciousness and how Self-Discovery Media addresses that need.  Sara talks about the vision behind the platform and what she wants to accomplish with it.  What a redirect is and how we all go through them as we become more conscious and find our true path and the need for supporting people going through them and seeing their possibilities and worth.  In fact, seeing all humans as worthy and acknowledging their humanity no matter what their current situation.

How we can act now wherever we are, to make a better world without waiting for governments or organizations to change.  We are the change.  We have impact.  We make good things happen.

We also talked about integrity and staying true to our vision.  For Sara, part of that is to not have commercials on the websites and instead focus on sponsors.  Bottom line it is all about integrity, staying true to ourselves and what we know is right living for us. Which also impacts how we treat and honor one another.  As Sara says, it’s about heart and soul.

19-09 Energy words, Divine, God, Spirituality, Consciousness.

Sara’s View of Life with Sara Troy on air from February 26th

We like as human beings to label things, is that so we can identify them, or does it limit are thinking ? With labels we can limit our understanding  and not reach for a better picture of its meaning.

We are creative exploratory creatures by nature, but we are also very governed by programing that dictates in how we choose to receive our divine messages or even believe in them. So why do we limit ourselves to old beliefs and why are we reluctant to allow our channels to open in openness to what the universe has to say to us?

Divine is a word that emcompasses all other words like God, Spirit, Consciousness, Source, Quantum energy, Frequency, and if we open up our minds to open up our souls to ignite the heart and set the spirit free to act, our minds would know what we need to know when we need to know it.

Fearing the unknown will cripple us, being wondrous opens up the divine doors to receiving a higher consciousness. Do not let fear hold you back, for as a human race we are at a crossroads of evolution and the opening of arms to the divine knowingness in wonderment, is need to be creative in finding solutions to our global problems.
