Choose Positive Living with Sara Troy and her guest Craig Richardson aired August 25TH
We have a voice and if we do not like what is going on we must speak out. Dont be fooled by the charltons who are pulling the wool over your eyes, be aware and really ask what is going on, you’re just as responsible by your inaction, don’t make them billionaires with your lack of interaction.
Craig Richardson co?authored, Red Tape in America, published by the Heritage Foundation. The book details excessive government regulation, and its impact on the U.S. economy, and its citizens.
The Energy & Environment Legal Institute (E&E Legal), a non-profit watchdog group advocating free market environmentalism, produces a number of investigatory reports. In July, E&E Legal released, “Big Donors…Big Conflicts; How Wealthy Donors Use the Sierra Club to Push Their Agenda,” that examines some of the biggest contributors to the Sierra Club and their self-interested motivation for donating. What is clear from examining the large contributors to the Sierra Club is that these donors seek to use the Sierra Club to manipulate government policies in order to irrevocably alter the world’s energy portfolio in a manner that benefits the donors and their businesses. This strategy appears to have been put in place in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Craig Richardson is the Executive Director of E&E Legal, and is a seasoned professional with more than twenty-five years of experience. He previously served as Executive Director of the American-Danish Business Council, a group he helped establish at the request of the Danish Embassy, The National Park and Recreation Foundation, and Leadership for America’s Future PAC (LEADPAC), a PAC founded by former Congressman Steve Largent.
In addition, he has provided strategic communications and fundraising services to political clients, including serving as a key aid to former Majority Leader Tom DeLay. He also worked for the re-election campaigns of several U.S. Senators and U.S. Representatives. He co-managed Largent’s bid for Majority Leader of the U.S. House of Representatives in 1998, and has participated in numerous issue campaigns including anti-tax and deregulation initiatives.
Richardson began his career in 1984 working for former Secretary Elliot Richardson’s U.S. Senate campaign in Massachusetts. He then served as a Research Analyst for the National Republican Senatorial Committee in Washington for the 1986 Cycle, and returned to Boston in 1987 to work at a regional public relations and advertising agency. In 1990, he returned to Washington to serve as an Account Supervisor for a Weber Shandwick-owned national public relations firm. In 1993, he started his own research, communications, and fundraising business before co-founding Washington Strategies, where he worked for nearly 10 years. In 2002, he sold his interest in Washington Strategies and joined DCI Associates as Vice President. In November 2003 he founded Richardson Consulting.
Richardson received a B.A. degree from Bowdoin College and holds an M.A. degree from Notre Dame Graduate School of Christendom College. A native of Brookline, MA, he and his family reside in the Metro Washington, D.C. area.
Choose Positive Living with Sara Troy and her guest Julie Starr airing August 25th-31st
Julie believes;
‘The issues organisations face right require a basic shift in the principles we operate from. Most importantly, we need to move from a mind-set and perspective of ‘I’ to a felt sense and practical application of ‘we’. This ‘I’ and ‘we’ are just two small words and yet they a world away from each other. When we create results from a need to create ‘win-win’ solutions are so different they become unrecognisable from any results created from a more fear-based, independent view.’

Can a forensic artist reconstruct two centuries of suppressed history . . . before it repeats itself?
In A Cry from the Dust, Carrie Stuart Parks utilizes her own background as a celebrated, FBI-trained forensic artist to blend fact and fiction into a stunning mystery.
Now with her second book her heroin stumbles on a new murder adventure in “The Bones Speak”
A killer with a penchant for torture has taken notice of forensic expert Gwen Marcey . . . and her daughter. And when she finds a tortured young girl clinging to life on the cabin floor, she knows this killer is a lunatic. Yet what unsettles Gwen most is that the victim looks uncannily like her daughter. The search for the torturer leads back in time to a neo-Nazi bombing in Washington state—a bombing with only one connection to Montana: Gwen. The group has a race-not-grace model of salvation . . . and they’ve marked Gwen as a race traitor. Cathie Devitt First joined us in 2014 to share the motivation behind her book “Don’t Drink & Fly!”The first in a trio of novellas about the life of Bernice O’Hanlon a witch from Glasgow: Bernice is a witch with many skeletons in her closet. She has an addictive personality, works as a holistic therapist, and struggles to maintain any intimate relationships. Her spells are not always as accurate as they could be, often the result of her having a few too many goblets of red wine. When mysterious letters start appearing at her door, she begins to think about her childhood and, with the help of her long-suffering friend Maggie, tries to come to terms with her past and the family she left behind. But nothing in Bernice’s life is ever simple…
Part Two is at the final edit although Cathie has not confirmed the title. Something that she has thrown open to our Self Discovery Radio audience. But first, you must read “Don’t Drink and Fly!” available on Amazon, Barnes and Nobel, Waterstones and all good book retailers, then contact Cathie with Title suggestions for the next book.
Cathie DeVitt
Cathie has recently embarked on a Mindfulness course which she says helps her focus and make time for herself.
” If you don’t take care of yourself how can you expect to take care of others?”
Mindfulness means waking up to the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of the present moment. That might be something as simple as the feel of a bannister as we walk upstairs.
Awareness of this kind doesn’t start by trying to change or fix anything. It’s about allowing ourselves to see the present moment clearly. When we do that, it can positively change the way we see ourselves and our lives.
Born in Glasgow Scotland, Cathie’s mother says that her daughter’s first words were, “But Why?” and her second “But why not?” Some things never change.
“I wrote and performed in my first play at primary school aged 11 years. Life took over and writing was consigned to work-related bumf the quality of which somehow stopped me from being sacked or evicted.”
“I studied at Glasgow and Strathclyde University whilst working and bringing up my two daughters alone. Oh what fun we had!Tears, tantrums, hormones and hooch. (The girls sometimes kicked off too.) The studies resulted in bits of paper that no-one ever asked to see but somehow greased the rungs of the career ladder high enough to ensure that the three of us never went hungry.
The flame of desire to write has flickered on and off but never been snuffed out. Encouraged by publication in various genres, Cathie Devitt moved on to support others by facilitating creative writing workshops. Cathie has also written and performed drama workshops in a corporate environment to showcase company policies and practices, such as Health and Safety and Equality in the workplace. Add to that writing and performing in Festival Theatre and training as a Laughter Yoga Therapist and you can see why Cathie Devitt is in a class of her own.
Cathie has very little time to dedicate to her own pleasures. Work and family commitments make sure of that. However, to release her D.I.V.A within Cathie has-

Choose Positive Living with Sara Troy and her guest Fran Shaw aired September 1st/15
While there may be a plethora of books on consciousness, none is quite like the new Amazon #1 bestseller, Lord Have Murphy: Waking Up in the Spiritual Marketplace. It’s a funny, sardonic commentary that’s also a brilliant entrée to a new level of consciousness unknown even to many people who have dabbled in meditation, mindfulness and even yoga.
Drawings by Bruce M. Sherman
The book’s author Fran Shaw, Ph.D., is a longtime practitioner in a spiritual discipline and an award-winning university writing instructor is also a university professor and an award-winning author whose books include Notes onThe Next Attention, Writing My Yoga: Poems for Presence, 50 Ways to Help You Write, and of course, Lord Have Murphy: Waking Up in the Spiritual Marketplace. . Out of her fertile mind has popped Murphy, the star narrator of this journey into this new level of awareness. And Murphy has a wry comment on EVERYTHING!
Murphy demurs from being a teacher—no guru is he—yet his exploration of the nature of this deep new level of conscious awareness is a fun filled, quip-induced, deeply funny, pathway to the higher self.
As Fran notes, “We hear a lot these days about mindfulness. ‘Weapons of mass instruction are proliferating.’ How to clear the air? To trust what’s in us and that we’re finding our way to it.”
With unrelenting humour, this book tells the tale of Murphy giving it a try, only to discover in himself an extraordinary truth: that contact with the finer energy animating us awakens us to a completely different level of being alive.
Whitley Strieber, the host of the hugely popular Dreamland podcast and Unknown Country website, praised Lord Have Murphy on Goodreads: “Exquisitely conceived and executed, with marvellous drawings by Bruce M. Sherman. There is almost nothing more difficult than to open doors in the sleeping soul with humour, but Fran Shaw is a genuine master and does it with grace. Every page contains a small shock, pleasurable, surprising and joyous. ‘God laughs and plays,’ said Meister Eckhart. To wake up into this singing, exuberant world, the first step is to laugh. Lord Have Murphy is a funny, punny, brilliantly attentive doorway into the incredible richness of real connection with higher self and the immense world around us, of which we normally see so little. This book is very special. It has a gentle, deeply spiritual touch that you reach through its humour and beauty. I have really never seen anything quite like it. An extraordinary door into attention.”

Murphy’s satirical comments make readers laugh out loud. The book appeals to both of our natures, the every day and the higher. For Murphy, the daily ups and downs become the necessary reminders to awaken, and “we don’t have to be a certain way to wake up.” All that we need is already in us, hidden from our usual mind. “Nothing about me needs to change except where the attention is.”
Lord Have Murphy is a unique and invaluable guide that helps readers to recognize their own power. Anyone who takes the time to truly absorb the messages in Murphy’s story and follow the advice within will learn exactly how he or she can overcome challenges to live by choice…not by chance! However, be forewarned! Lord Have Murphy is not for the weak-kneed. With his thought provoking musings, Murphy will put you through some serious paces while you’re belly-laughing.
Lord Have Murphy, retail price $19.99 is available from Amazon.com and is also now a Kindle ebook.
