Choose Positive Living with Sara Troy and her guest Deb Miller, on air from July 8th
I wrote Forget the Fairy Tale and Find Your Happiness because I lived it, and I know I’m not alone. Too many women believe society’s script that says happiness depends on finding Prince Charming and checking all the boxes. I believed that, too, in the beginning. My journey of self-discovery began with a bold choice to rewrite the story I’d been given. From Midwest housewife to global marketing exec to professor and author, I’ve learned that happily ever after isn’t handed to you—it’s built, one brave decision at a time.
I’m here to remind women that it’s never too late to take the reins, ditch the outdated fairy tale, and create a life rooted in their unique definition of joy. This conversation is for anyone who’s ready to rewrite their happily ever after and be their own hero.
Deb Miller is the author of Forget the Fairy Tale & Find Your Happiness, a memoir that explores her personal journey toward self-reliance and strength, using the evolution of Disney princesses as a metaphor for her own transformation.
A passionate advocate for personal empowerment, Deb’s writing encourages readers to question societal expectations and discover their own path to happiness.
Having visited nearly 50 countries as a corporate executive, she is now on a mission to visit all of our national parks. A part-time marketing professor, Dr. Miller lives in Redmond, Washington, and can be found outside landscaping, walking her energetic Auggie, or hanging out with her grandchildren.

Quantum Spirituality with Sara Troy and her guest Brenda Jacobson, on air from July 8th
After a life-altering fall down a mountain and a five-year healing journey, I emerged with a radically expanded understanding of human potential—physically, emotionally, and energetically. Blending two decades as a senior finance executive with deep work in overall wellness, emotional management, and energy mastery, I now guide high performers to awaken their quantum potential and live from their highest frequency. My message is simple: optimal health is the foundation of peak performance in business, relationships, creativity, and life. As the old world crumbles, a new paradigm is emerging—one rooted in intuition, vitality, and energetic alignment. New technologies are now available that simplify this journey. Through Awakening Consciously, I help people break free from burnout, reclaim their health and energy, and step into a version of themselves that’s not only successful but truly alive.
I started my career in the fast-paced world of corporate finance, climbing the ladder as a senior executive and mastering the art of strategy and leadership. Everything changed after a traumatic fall down a mountain left me with years of physical and emotional healing ahead. That journey cracked me open in ways I never expected—introducing me to the deeper intelligence of the body, the power of energy, and the extraordinary potential we all hold inside. Today, I blend my business background with leading-edge technology in wellness, emotional management, and energy optimization to help others break free from burnout, reclaim their vitality, and lead from a place of wholeness.

Building Your Business with Sara Troy and her guest Eddy Balaya, on air from July 8th
After more than 16 years working in corporate IT, in Service or Consulting companies, and in leadership roles, I decided it was time to take everything I’d learned and use it to support the kinds of businesses that often get overlooked—small and mid-sized companies trying to make things work without reliable tech support. I’ve seen how the lack of time, budget, or technical knowledge leads many business owners to treat IT as something they deal with only when it breaks. That’s what we want to change. At Datasphere Dynamics, our goal is simple: help local businesses make smarter technology decisions, take control of their systems, and build stability step by step, without unnecessary cost or complexity.
I’ve taken more than a few leaps of faith in my life—and I’m grateful for every one of them. Born in India as a French citizen, I grew up in Pondicherry, attending a French school where my accent shaped how I’d speak every language after. In 2006, I moved to France for my studies and began working. My first IT job came right after I admitted I didn’t know how to install antivirus software. From there, I went from sales to leading global network infrastructure for a multinational company, working with telecom giants like NTT, Tata, and Orange.
While friends were settling down, I felt pulled toward something more. In 2017, I immigrated to Canada with nothing but two suitcases and no safety net—delivering food on a bike to start over. By 2019, I was back in a leadership role at a major financial firm. A year later, I lost the home I was about to buy after an unexpected layoff. That loss led me to co-found an IT company, which ultimately didn’t work out, leaving me in debt and sleeping in my Honda Civic. I regrouped, restarted, and in 2021, launched what is now Datasphere Dynamics.
I landed a long-term contract with a U.S. Tech firm, bought a house, and rebuilt—but once again, the role ended during a company reorg. This time, instead of going back, I chose to go all in on my own path, investing in coaching and mentorship to turn Datasphere into a business that truly reflects my purpose: helping business owners take control of their tech with the clarity and confidence they deserve.

Our Global Veterans with Sara Troy and her guest David Brown, on air from July 1st
Awarded Medals By Queen Elizabeth II For His 40 Years In The British Army, A Retired Major Pens A Powerful War Novel Set In 1970s Northern Ireland
David Brown, a lifelong military man for the British Army, who received medals from Queen Elizabeth II for his bravery throughout a successful four-decade military career, has not had to fire a shot in many years. But all of the bloody battles fought in his lifetime live in his head, heart, and soul. He brings to life what it really felt like to fight the enemy, even when winning felt like losing. “There’s a heavy price to pay for peace on all sides of a conflict,” says Brown.
Brown has three novels out, each inspired by his military experiences that began for him at the tender age of 15. He left a household in poverty and dropped out of school to become a soldier. From 1969 to 1976, he witnessed and participated in fighting for Great Britain against the IRA uprising (or freedom fighters?) in Northern Ireland.
At just 15, he left home to join the British Army, driven by a deep sense of duty and a desire for purposes beyond the life he knew. Over a remarkable 40-year military career, he fought in numerous battles across the globe, witnessing both the chaos and camaraderie that only war can forge. His service was recognized by Queen Elizabeth II herself, who awarded him medals that now serve as quiet reminders of sacrifice and honor. The brutal reality of war left a lasting impression, compelling him to write three novels—fictionalized accounts drawn from the truth of his battlefield experiences. He speaks candidly about the visceral intensity of hand-to-hand combat, and the haunting paradox of feeling a deep, private respect for the very enemy he was trained to destroy. After retiring from the military, life shifted once again when he faced the profound loss of his wife to kidney failure. It was this heartbreak that prompted him to start anew, redefining purpose in a life now lived beyond the battlefield.
“Some may label me a killer, and they’d be right,” says Brown. Others would say I was a hero, and they would be right. But there will always be mixed feelings in reflecting back on a soldier’s scorecard. We can pray for peace and forgiveness – all while pulling the trigger to remove a life from this world — and the soldier must feel he did what had to be done while still questioning why he was there at all.”
David Brown has authored three novels, all military fiction inspired by decades of military service for England. His books are The Wolves of the Radfan, Hard Rain, and The Darkness. He served in the British Army for 40 years, dropping out of school to join the military at the age of 15. He left The St. George’s School in Cambridge and the impoverished neighbourhood dubbed The Kite. His household was so poor that he wore his sister’s hand-me-downs, his home lacked heating and hot water, and the bathroom was located outside of the gas-lit house. Brown was awarded a BEM (British Empire Medal military division) and the MBE (Member of the British Empire medal military division) from Queen Elizabeth II. Between 1969 and 1976, he spent a good deal of time in Northern Ireland, serving with a top infantry regiment as both a platoon sergeant and later as a platoon commander. Brown left the infantry for the elite Army Physical Training Corp and received a commission, eventually reaching the rank of Major. He has traveled the world, living in over a dozen countries spanning four continents, including Hong Kong, Kenya, Germany, Canada, Yemen, Morocco, Libya, Gibraltar, Norway, Cyprus, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and numerous parts of England. After leaving the military, he became a professional mountaineering instructor in Spain. He has climbed the Himalaya Mountains, the Andes Mountains, the European Alps, and other great heights. Brown’s first wife died of kidney failure, but he found his faith in God again and remarried. Now 78 years old, he is retired and plays golf and produces a quarterly magazine called The Rock, for The Costa Blanca Anglican Chaplaincy.
