TIME FOR RECONNECTION

LET US ALL RECONNECT

Everything that comes into our lives comes for a reason, there is always a lesson to learn.

On recently buying a hoodie for my child I found a hole in the pocket, I assumed it was a fault and so wished to return it. In doing so I was given the information that the hole was actually for the flex on mobile phone earpieces to pass through the hole. There were also two material hoops on the shoulders for the said flex to be pulled through and then placed in the ears. The age on my child’s top was 7 to 8.

What hit me was the realization that mobile phone usage had become the norm for children, a world for children to disappear into that completely disconnects them from the outside world. The very thing that keeps them grounded in later life.

Children have this magical world of imagination inside of them, to rob them of this by normalizing the use of mobile phones is heartbreaking. Let alone the physical damage of tiny earpieces in tiny ears.

It is adults that make the clothes, adults that have made this handy accessory a massive part of every day life, so it is the adults that need to bring mindfulness and balance to this tool.

Have we lost sight of the eyes of our neighbour? Are we losing touch with those around us completely and treating social media as the real world? Its not, and we are leading our children down the exact same path. We are setting the example.

My concerns for children and mobile phones are these;

  • The increase and numerous links to cancer and the use of mobile phones.
  • The growth of bullying on social media
  • The disconnection from nature and others
  • The ability to become addicted to the use of it.
  • The risks of potential hearing loss and also not hearing anything around the individual, a speeding car, a bird singing, the friend who shouts ‘hi’ across the road and the small minority of individuals who pass on harm to children and adults if given the chance. For when the sense of hearing is muffled by ear pieces others may see an opportunity.

True connections with people, with animals, with nature and ultimately ourselves is being sacrificed, have we all become so afraid of the people and world around us!

I know that some children with autism benefit from the use of the earphones as it gives them time out from stressful situations, so for the parents and individuals, they are using the equipment for the greater good of the child.

For adults the phone is so useful tool, in many ways, it is here to stay and yes people made this technology. Let us just keep this tool in its place, as a useful accessory, so our children will then walk the path of balance.

As adults it is important to educate ourselves, to support our children in maintaining their childhood joy of the world around them. To help them with the positive aspects of the mobile phone when the time comes, and keep them connected to themselves and the world around them.

Many blessings

I am changing into My Beingness.

As the song goes, “I am changing becoming who I am meant to be”, but more importantly, knowing who I really am. It has been a long journey, one that has had so many lows with fewer highs, but those highs made it all worth it. But it is not about my past, although the past has molded me into who I am now, it is the allowing of my beingness, the who I am in my now which will also take me forward into my tomorrow that counts.

It is not about the destination but the journey, the small miles stones along the way, and those who you meet that help you with guidance tools and loving wisdom. We are a sum of our past present and dreams, we are all, we are everything.

To some, our all will not be enough for it is not about you, but about what you can do to serve them. Service is very important as it is in how we serve each other that makes our community stronger and gives us a meaningful purpose. Those that want you to serve them purely for their benefit and not for the collectiveness of a connection, you need to walk away from, for they will suck the life out of you.

Being true to you is essential, for you are with you forever and a day, every moment in every way. Being at peace with self lovingly from within and living out will be your key to living truly in your own light.

When I was told I could not do it, be it, I had this to say….

They said I could not do it, who did I think I was, a nobody, no worth, no monetary value, but I kept moving forward, kept reaching for those stars, kept believing I was here for something. Now they see me, hear me, believe in me, now I can make that difference I have strived for, now my life has meaning and purpose for now I know why I am here, and the journey was all worth while.

Despite what they said, all I could do was keep walking forward, keep on walking the path of self discovery and of my own meaningful purpose, and in doing so I found me. Am I enough for others? No, but it is not about them but about me, I am enough for me and in my desire to be all I can be for me, I keep striving to be more of who I am.

As I have said before, I am not everyone’s cup of tea, but I am someone’s strong cup of coffee. I am a strong woman, I am a person of conviction, I am someone who sees the discontent in others, I do reflect that back to them, unknowingly, so that they can see them selves from the inside out. This of cause does not always go down well, as many people rather live in their own illusion than discover their inner truth.

So, I redirected to bringing that light that takes you to your inner truth, by spotlighting those who can show you the way. I found in my Self Discovery my purpose that serves not only those sharing their story, but those in desperate need to hear the wisdom and knowledge of those who have taken the path before us.

I will still get people telling me I am doing is wrong, I am not enough, I am not what they want; but to this I say, I am what I am, doing what I am meant to do, that serves our global community for those ready to hear their truth.

Take a good look in the mirror and ask yourself lovingly, who are you and are you being true to you? You may not like the answer, but in Self Discovery of our inner truth, you will thank yourself in the end just by being wonderful you.

Life-Changing Insight Accessible Through Dreams

95-99% of dreams disappear from memory upon waking, but despite this, famous inventors throughout history have drawn inspiration from their dreams. Scientific evidence exists that dreams can help diagnose illness. Abundant anecdotal evidence also exists that dreams can influence the path of human history – a strong case for adopting habits to remember dreams.

How Dreams Have Changed the World

Science would not have achieved all that it has today, without dreams at work. Rene Descartes had a dream that resulted in the scientific method, upon which all modern scientific process is formatted. James Watson dreamed the form of DNA, Dmitry Mendeleyev the periodic table. Some well-known art has been the result of dreams. Familiar dream-born works of art include “Yesterday” by Paul McCartney, Mary Shelly’s “Frankenstein”, Robert Louis Stevenson’s Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, James Cameron’s “The Terminator”, Stephenie Meyer’s “Twilight” and Stephen King’s “Misery”.

Health Benefits of Sleep

More than one good reason exists to get a good night’s sleep. Science has revealed that sleep keeps the physical body healthy; a good amount of cell repair and regeneration happens while we sleep. Sleep helps with storage of events to memory and with the processing of emotion.

Spiritual Benefits of Quality Sleep

The most vivid dreams occur during deep sleep, REM (Rapid Eye Movement), and can generate valuable information that an individual may not perceive during waking. Science reveals the whole brain is active during dreaming, even the areas thought to be responsible for intuition; that vague, almost imperceptible internal “voice” or “gut feeling” that may have the potential to generate life-changing insight.

Such noteworthy discoveries as the structure of DNA that have resulted from an inventor’s dream were so moving to the individual, that the dream was documented upon waking. Keeping a dream journal bedside and writing down dreams upon waking is the best way to preserve a dream. Important details toward which to pay particular attention include how the dream made you feel and your own interpretation of your dream.

Dreams are symbolic and can often be interpreted in different ways. As such, the dreamer’s perspective is often the most important in interpreting a dream. Dreams can be part of a significant journey in self-discovery. At the least, the dreamer ends up with a colourful journal, at the most, the information garnered may be enough to change a life and, perhaps, even the trajectory of the world.

“Peace comes from within. Do not seek it without” Buddha

“Children of the Revolution is a book of converging worlds. In it you discover the very human weave of courage, perseverance, and vision, woven with a delightful touch of humour and surprise.

It also has the beguiling pattern of a journey unfolding. And as it unfolds, you learn. And you are inspired.

Children of the Revolution is both an inspiration and teaching. It unfolds as a flower does. As you are taken along the twin tracks of a journey through a conflicted region, and a personal journey of reflection, gradually what remains with you is a story about Loving Kindness. Appropriately it starts with a family gathering and ends with the family at the monastery. These are the ripples across the lake, ever-widening patterns of mett? as the children are sheltered, fed, educated, and then go into the world”.
