QS25-28. Kelly O’Hearn’s Arcanum & Tarot

Quantum Spirituality with Sara Troy and her guest Kelly O”Hearn, on air from July 15th

O’Hearn explores love, power, freedom, spirituality, and self-discovery through the lens of past lives, inspired by her own past-life readings and personal transformation.

Known for elevating people’s frequency and vibration, Kelly O’Hearn helps others unlock their potential and align their present life with their desired one through reinvention, energy work, and storytelling. Born in New York City, O’Hearn first put her sensory gifts to work as a professional wine taster and sommelier. After raising two children and overcoming a personal health crisis, she discovered the Tarot and became, as far as she knows, the first author to channel an entire novel series through it.

The Arcanum series dives deep into themes of love, power, freedom, spirituality, and self-discovery, all through the lens of past lives. Drawing on her own experiences channeling eight past lifetimes, Kelly weaves these insights into her storytelling and teachings. She explores how soul connections evolve across time, with soulmates often appearing in non-romantic roles to help catalyze growth. Kelly also sheds light on soul contracts—agreements made across lifetimes that foster mutual evolution, even through pain. Tarot, central to her journey, is presented not as fortune-telling but as a transformative tool to uncover energetic blockages and realign with our highest potential. By encouraging curiosity over certainty, she welcomes skeptics and invites personal engagement with the Tarot experience. Kelly also redefines midlife as a time of rebirth rather than crisis, especially empowering women over 40 to embrace their ageless relevance, creativity, and purpose. At the heart of it all is her philosophy of “pulling it back to self”—tapping into inner wisdom, intuition, and energy to create meaningful transformation from within.

The Unique Journey of Writing Arcanum: Kelly’s use of Tarot to channel her series makes Arcanum distinct, blending divination with storytelling.

TSM24-48. Amina Mohamed, Cameras For Girls

Their Story Matters with Sara Troy and her guest Amina Mohamed, on air from November 26th

My family and I came to Canada as refugees from Uganda when I was just three years old, fleeing the violence and uncertainty of Idi Amin’s regime. Growing up in Canada gave me opportunities and freedoms I’ll always be grateful for, and those experiences shaped my desire to give back to my home country.

I founded Cameras For Girls as a way to empower young women in Africa through photography and storytelling, giving them a voice and a means to step into media roles traditionally dominated by men. I’ve seen firsthand how these tools can break down barriers and open doors, enabling these young women to overcome cultural and gender biases and make an impact in their communities.

My “Why” is rooted in resilience, generosity, and social justice—values Canada gave to me and that I carry into this work. Through Cameras For Girls, I want to ensure that every young woman has the chance to realize her potential, regardless of her background. It’s about creating pathways to opportunity, breaking cycles of poverty, and showing that even the smallest gestures of support can transform lives.

C15/43b Out of the Transylvania Night

Choose Positive Living with Sara Troy and her guest Aura Imbarus, originally aired October 27th

A Story of Tyranny, Freedom, Love and Identity by Aura Imbarus

OUT OF THE TRANSYLVANIA NIGHT explores tyranny and freedom, love, success, and the price paid for misaligned dreams in an epic tale of identity and the human spirit. It is a deftly woven narrative about finding greater meaning and fulfilment in a free world, and an exploration of how social issues affect the human spirit. An incredibly powerful memoir.

shapeimage_1I’d grown up in the land of TRANSYLVANIA, homeland to Dracula, Vlad the Impaler, and, worse, the Communist dictator, Nicolae Ceausescu—who turned Romania into a land of gray-clad zombies who never dared to show their individuality, and where neighbours became informants, and the Securitate made people disappear. Daylight empowered the regime to encircle us like starved wolves, and so night had always been the time to steal a bit of freedom. As if bred into our Transylvanian blood, we were like vampires who came to life after sundown. I buried the family heirloom jewels, tucked the flag into my sweater and left my outpost to join the action . . . tonight Ceausescu would die!

Known for using stand-ins to pose for him, Aura doubts if it was even Ceausescu himself who was killed that night. Nevertheless, when her countrymen topple one of the most draconian regimes in the Soviet bloc, Aura Imbarus tells herself that life post-revolution will be different. But little in the country changes. With two pieces of luggage and a powerful dream, Aura and her new husband flee to America. Through sacrifice and hard work, the couple acquires a home, cars, and travel—but trying to be Americans is much more complicated than they expect. More difficulties set in the stock market crash takes their savings, house, and cars; thieves steal three centuries’ worth of heirloom jewels, and Aura’s beloved mother dies.

Aura’s marriage crumbles under the stress. Devastated, she asks herself, ‘How much of one’s life is owed to others?’ Tested even further by the vagaries of fate, Aura discovers a startling truth about striking a balance between one’s dreams and the sacrifices and compromises that allow for Serenity, selfhood, and lasting love. More resolution comes when in 2010, Ceausescu’s body is exhumed to answer questions of a cover-up, and Aura can finally lay to rest the haunting mysteries of her past.
