Wise Health with Suma Nathan and her co/pilot Bill Mackie aired May 12-18th
This week Suma and her special guest Bill “Smok’n DAWG” Mackie talk about the root cause of pain. Which surprisingly is actually caused by our diets! You are probably wondering how the food you eat has anything to do with the pain you experience from an accident you had in your childhood, but it does… As Bill explains pain is the bodies natural defense mechanism to alert the brain that there is something going wrong internally. Pain is the culmination of multiple factors that result in telling the body to stop doing what you are doing to prevent us from doing irreversible damage to your body.
Food is the one thing that everyone consumes on a regular basis and the ingestion of food triggers a complete series of biological responses within the body. When the food we eat can not be processes correctly, the the body becomes stressed. The more we ingest foods the we can not process the more stressed the body becomes. As the stress level builds our defense mechanism become more heightened to a point where we become other extremely sensitive to other external influences in life cause the body to react in pain. A simple example we can all relate to is that when we over eat you get severe stomach cramps! What’s really incredible is that virtually everything we experience as pain is directly effected by the foods we eat! With all the genetically modified foods and chemicals that we ingest into our bodies when combined with the sheer volume of food we eat it’s no wonder that we have so many people who suffer from pain. Food is the the root to virtually every major health issue in the industrial world!

For the next next week’s how Suma and Bill will be discussing importance of developing eating habits that will help you reduce the stresses caused by eating. It’s not so much about the foods you eat but more about developing an understanding and an awareness of how the foods you do eat are affecting the way your body is reacting.
Originally Aired on July 15th, 2014 on Positive Living Vibrations Roundtable with Sara Troy and her guests Kathy Gambill and Colonel John Pettit
The dignity of a veteran should always be honoured for their service to their country. So why are so many coming home to nothing? We should not just celebrate them for dying for their country, but be there for them now in rebuilding their lives. They are shattered, they have had to do things that no man or woman should have to do, they are suffering from post-traumatic syndrome and many are unable to work. They are not the same people they were when they left, how can they be? they need help and support more than ever in that they can find dignity, meaning, and purpose once again in their lives.
Today we talk about the stress and anxiety and depression and what is being done to help the veterans to find a prosperous life again. Kathy Gambill and Colonel John Pettit are helping their soldiers regain their dignity and sanity with support and a nutrient called Q96. I have used this myself and know in how it helps, and if we can help the veterans around the world regain their lives, then let us find a way to do it.

My background with the military goes back to 2006 thru 2010 When I was elected President of the “Everett Navy League”. This was not a paid position, but truly a labour of Love. Fundraising in the community and a very generous group of businessmen and women afforded me to supply our Navy families, with much-needed support.
My latest involvement with the Military is very exciting, but a much different path. A little over a year ago I was introduced to a Micronutrient that was helping restore tens of thousands of people’s lives who suffer from everything from mild and severe stress and depression to ADHD and many other brain disorders. The 25 clinical studies were very impressive, and the people I shared the product with were getting better. One of the people I was introduced to, who was desperately looking for help, happened to be COL Pettit’s daughter in law who was suffering from a severe case of Anxiety and also depression. I worked with her over approximately a 3 week period. COL Pettit was taking notice of her amazing recovery and that is when I was introduced to John. Little did I know that this was the beginning of a new and exciting project to help our Veterans overcome the challenges and the debilitating effects of what COL Pettit calls mind wounds. And our new project began. We have been working with active duty and veterans who are suffering the effects of long tours of combat duty, past and present.
