24-46. Be the Peace

Sara’s View of Life with Sara Troy, on air from November 12th

I recently had a wonderful conversation on my podcast with David Wick, a dedicated peace advocate who’s been with the UN and involved in global peace efforts for over 40 years. It’s a conversation on peace—its possibility and its necessity in today’s world. So often, people think of peace as a distant ideal, something that may never be achieved. But I believe peace is not just an idea; it’s a way of being, a state we cultivate within ourselves and share with others.

True peace starts within each of us. When we cultivate peace, love, and purpose inside, that energy naturally radiates outward, creating a ripple effect that touches everyone we encounter. This doesn’t mean ignoring the world’s challenges; rather, it’s about seeing the issues clearly so that we can address them from a place of compassion and conviction. In our world today, we’re often sold illusions, particularly in areas like healthcare, where profit sometimes overshadows true wellness. It’s vital that we hold these systems accountable, advocating for practices that honor holistic health and well-being. Restrictions on healthcare choices, especially those that impact women’s health, call for our attention and action.

Living peacefully isn’t about having everyone agree. It’s about approaching each other with openness, compassion, and understanding. Life will always bring challenges—unexpected twists and hardships. But when we’re grounded and centered in peace, we see through the fog. Instead of reacting with fear or anxiety, we can move forward with purpose, finding creative solutions and choosing a balanced, harmonious way to live.

If we’re serious about giving peace a chance, we must start within ourselves and allow it to expand outward. Together, we can shape a world where peace is more than just a vision; it’s a way of life.

Today brought me unexpected news—not the kind I wanted. America has taken a turn not for the better, and, on top of it all, I now face a hefty bill for a new heating pump. So, how do we move forward? We’ll need to look at options, explore costs, and check payment plans. Many of us are facing financial strain, and fortunately, businesses now offer more flexible payment options to help ease the burden.

Life throws unexpected challenges our way, and while we can’t control everything that happens, we can control our response. When something goes wrong—like losing a heating system—it’s natural to feel worried. But instead, I take a moment to pause, breathe, and think it through. Yes, it’s an expense I hadn’t planned for, but approaching it calmly allows me to focus on solutions, not stress. The peace we bring to each situation shapes the outcome, helping us see possibilities rather than limits.

From health scares to financial hurdles, life will always bring obstacles. We can’t avoid every hardship, but we can choose how we respond. Sometimes, we need support; other times, we might just need a breather. The journey can be tough, but it also teaches us resilience. When we choose to meet challenges calmly, anger and stress don’t consume us. Instead, we find clarity and strength, which is where true peace lies.

Here’s the choice we all face: we can dwell on what’s wrong, or we can focus on our options and move forward with peace. True peace doesn’t come from avoiding life’s challenges but from staying centered and open to solutions. In that calm, we often find the answers we need.

Peace isn’t just a lofty idea—it’s a choice we make to step into calm, clarity, and centeredness no matter what storm we face. When life throws curveballs—financial struggles, health diagnoses, unexpected twists—it’s natural to feel overwhelmed, anxious, or even angry. But here lies our power: in our ability to pause and find that inner sanctuary, that core of calm that supports us through anything.

This calmness isn’t passive; it’s a foundation, a conscious decision we return to whenever we feel overwhelmed. In that calm, we see solutions we might miss in a panicked state. This core of peace lets us respond wisely and act from strength.

We each play a role in creating peace in the world. When we choose calm, compassion, love, and patience over anger and resentment, we lift not only ourselves but those around us. It’s not about ignoring our emotions but about choosing not to meet anger with anger, or hate with hate. When we do, we avoid getting lost in the chaos.

Instead, let’s be the peace we seek. Let’s live it, breathe it, share it, embody it. We are the creators of the love, kindness, and calmness we want to see. It’s up to each of us to be that higher frequency, that example that helps elevate ourselves and others.

When you walk in this divine calm, you become a beacon for others. You’re living proof that life can be filled with compassion, joy, and connection. You’re inviting others to rise, to find their balance, and, together, to build a world built on peace and love.

I invite you: take this journey. Embrace the peace, live the love, and let’s transform the world one calm, compassionate choice at a time. Because that’s what living truly means.

When anger arises, let it out. Feel it fully, then let it go. Take a deep breath and ask, “What can I do about this?” If there’s something you can change, take action. If not, sometimes the best choice is to simply walk away.

Peace is a choice we carry within us. It’s a state of being that we each have the power to access. This peace and love isn’t external; it’s within. Tap into it, let it flow, and share it. When you do, you create a ripple effect, an invitation for others to step into that calm alongside you.

By being this light, this vibration of peace, we become the solutions this world so urgently needs. Let’s approach life with calm strength, becoming the peace we wish to see.

Until next time, I wish you a beautifully peaceful journey.

Trust in Faith

Having been a person of ill health, depression, and loss, I know from my own experience that staying in spirituality is the only thing that will get you through. When despair knocks at your door, and you feel all is lost, the belief that you will make it through, even though you do not know how keeps you moving forward inch by inch.

Embracing the journey of life with its myriad of challenges requires a perspective rooted in faith and acceptance. It’s natural to find oneself questioning the fairness of our struggles, pondering, “Why me?” Yet, such questions often lead us down a path of isolation and despair, blinding us to the shared nature of human suffering. Each of us carries our own burden of pain, unique in its intensity and impact, yet universal in its existence. It’s crucial, therefore, to resist the urge to compare our hardships, to measure our pain against that of others, as if it were a contest in which the most afflicted is somehow granted a morose victory.

Instead, we are called to lean into our faith, whatever form that may take, allowing it to guide us through the tumultuous waters of adversity. Faith serves not only as a beacon of hope but as a reminder that our journey, with all its trials and tribulations, holds purpose. This perspective encourages us to open our hearts to the lessons embedded within our struggles, to embrace the growth that comes from enduring and overcoming.

We are here for a reason, a purpose that transcends our immediate understanding and discomfort. It is through faith and an open heart that we begin to unravel the tapestry of our lives, each thread interwoven with moments of joy and sorrow, pain and healing. Our journey is not a solitary trek but a shared voyage, enriched by the connections we forge and the support we offer one another.

In the grand scheme, it’s not the magnitude of our suffering that defines us, but our response to it. By choosing faith and openness, we step into the flow of life, ready to face whatever comes our way with grace and resilience. We are travelers on a path laid out with purpose, each step an opportunity to learn, to grow, and to contribute to the world around us. It is in this journey that we find our true calling, our reason for being.

When you can overcome the deep, dark depths of despair and start to see the light, you have to keep that light burning bright, as it will guide you on, where you will find that peace that reason that trust in life again. Everything that is given to us is for a reason. Still, sometimes, that reason is to make us stronger, believe deeper, trust more, and live in our divine spirituality in that pure belief, for there is the truth, the purpose, and the purity of the clarity of life.

23-43 Observations while away

Sara’s View of Life with Sara Troy, on air from October 24th

I’ve just returned from the UK and oh, what a trip it was! There’s truly nothing like spending quality time with family. My sister and brother were incredible hosts. Every meal with my sister felt like I was dining at a posh 5-star restaurant; she has this knack for making everything so fancy. My brother, on the other hand, had a more homely touch to his dishes, but equally delightful.

You won’t believe the amount of walking I did. Probably a good thing, considering all the scrumptious meals I was indulging in. London was on my list, but I only made it there once – thanks to a train strike. But hey, that’s the UK for you, always full of surprises!

Aside from the culinary adventures, I caught up with a few cousins, took in a movie, watched a play, did some shopping (okay, maybe more than just some), and took out some well-deserved relaxation time.

All in all, it was a fantastic getaway, filled with family, fun, and food. My trip had a significant work element to it as well. My brother, the ever-diligent professor, graciously took out time from his schedule to edit my personal book. Not only that, he also went through the chapters for “Our Forgotten Children” book, which was immensely helpful.

With his invaluable input, I’m thrilled to share that my personal book is now set to release in just a few weeks! However, the journey for “Our Forgotten Children” has had its own set of challenges. Unfortunately, due to funding constraints, I’ve had to make the pragmatic decision to first release it as an eBook. Sometimes life throws curveballs and we need to adjust our strategy. So, an eBook it is, for starters. But, this is just the beginning. I’m gearing up for a campaign to launch the soft cover version as well as an audio edition.

It’s a testament to the fact that even when plans go awry, we find new ways, innovative routes to make our dreams come true. The story must be told, and it will be, one way or another!

While I was in the UK, amidst the joy and the familial bonding, the world outside was reeling. The violence between Israel and Gaza erupted, casting a shadow on the global landscape. The news was heart-wrenching, with images of destruction and the heartbreak of lost lives. Such senseless violence, with both sides trading blows, and the ones truly suffering were the innocent souls caught in the crossfire.

It’s a grim reminder that in these battles, there are no real victors. The aftermath is just more animosity, more pain, and an even deeper divide. It made me ponder, where has our compassion gone? Where is the love that binds humanity together? When did we forget the essence of understanding and healing, choosing instead to perpetuate hate?

These moments challenge our collective spirit. But they also serve as a stark reminder that it’s upon each one of us to rise above this hatred. We need to be the change, be the love, and embody the compassion this world so desperately needs. Because if not us, then who? If not now, then when? We must yearn for a world where love overpowers hate, where understanding douses the flames of animosity.

It’s a profound realization that every one of us has a choice, every single day, in what we nurture within ourselves and how we project it onto the world. We can either feed the flames of division, hatred, and misunderstanding, or we can nourish the values of compassion, kindness, and love. It’s not about picking a side, but rather choosing a perspective – a perspective that upholds the sanctity of life above all else.

Life is invaluable, and every life is a universe in its own right. We must strive to appreciate its worth, to cherish it, and to protect it. To rise above our prejudices, our misunderstandings, our differences, and to connect with the very essence of being human. To exercise common-sense in our judgments, to practice kindness even when it’s hard, and to love unconditionally, breaking the chains of hatred.

Our world needs healing, and it begins with each one of us making that conscious choice – to value life more, to be the beacon of hope, compassion, and unity. And in that choice, we find our true power, our purpose, and our path forward.

23-07. Love You to Love Another.

Sara’s View of Life with Sara Troy, on air from February 14th

Love is not something you do, but someone you are. We try to define love by conditions and doctrine, but while we are chasing the fantasy of love, let us really look at what love is.

Love is an energy of kindness, compassion, caring, and nurturing vibrations. It is not something we do, when we love someone, it is some thing we are, we are the love. When you truly love from within yourself, and you raise up to that frequency on a higher level of being the love; you then exude your loving vibration, inviting others to match it with you.

We have been conditioned to think if we were just prettier, thinner, sexier, richer, brighter, more of something else, we would be loved, but that is not so, you have to BE THE LOVE to know love and no one can demand anything of you other than your true heart and soul love.

To love is to not knowingly to hurt another, for it would hurt you to do so.

To love is a a good vibration that resonates out from within to ignite love in each other.

To love is to give of ones self in a way that uplifts, and holds others in that higher vibe..

To be loved is when you are seen from your core and loved for all you are, not what someone ants you to be.

To Love is a look at life from a place of optimism and see the possibilities we can loving create.

To love each other is to see another from the soul heart and spirit that they are, and to embrace in all their loving energy.

Love is choosing to see the light in life and not feed the darkness of pain, anguish and despair, but to feed the love to heal, and become that love ourselves.

If we want to be loved, we must become LOVE, love from with in, loving who you are, why you are, and what you are here to do, and loving the purpose of you.

Love is to see the good in each other and not to place judgment upon each other, but to care for each other in any way we can.

To love is know the divine, for God, Source, Energy, the Universal wisdom, comes from a place of loving vibrations and when we decide to be a part of that love, we then understand, that LOVE IS OUR GENERATOR in life.

SIMPLY PUT, LOVE IS ALL AND WHEN WE COME FROM LOVE AND BECOME THE LOVE, WE KNOW HOW EMPOWERING LOVE CAN BE FOR US ALL.

May this Valentines day be one of self love and stepping into the loving energy of the divine.
