24-20 So worth it.

Sara’s View of Life with Sara Troy, on air from May 14th

I’ve finally settled into my forever home, or at least I hope it’s forever. It’s incredibly peaceful here, surrounded by trees and the sweet symphony of birdsong. Owls chime in at night, adding to the tranquility. Despite the serene setting, the move itself was quite the ordeal, especially with my fibro and arthritis acting up like an unwelcome duo.

Moving from Victoria to Nanaimo on the Island was a challenge, but thankfully, I had the assistance of two remarkable young men from a company called Junk in your Trunk. These guys were a godsend—kind, helpful, and considerate beyond measure. They went above and beyond what I expected from a moving company, and their rates were the best I found. Their help made the transition smoother and eased a lot of my stress.

The next leg of the journey involved retrieving all my belongings from storage in Vancouver, just a ferry ride away. I’m immensely grateful to my son Tyler and his fiancée Jess for not only gifting me a couch but also for lending their strength in loading everything onto the truck and then into my new home. Their support made the process much smoother. And I can’t forget to thank my oldest daughter Tabytha for her invaluable help in emptying out the storage unit and keeping me grounded throughout the whole ordeal. Having family by my side made all the difference.

In my new home now, the task of finding places for all my belongings is both exciting and daunting. I know I’ll have to bid farewell to some of it, but as things start to come together, there’s a sense of accomplishment. My son-in-law and daughter, who generously bought me this home, have been absolute heroes. They’ve been unpacking, hanging pictures, and even replacing appliances (the old stove had a penchant for fiery antics). Their support has been a blessing beyond words.

My grandson RoRo is absolutely thrilled to be at Grandma’s, and I cherish every moment with him. And my little one is as content as can be, always adaptable. Amidst the ongoing unpacking and organizing, I’m learning to listen to my body’s signals—it’s telling me to slow down and take breaks, I have to as I seize right up painfully. We’re negotiating, my body and I, with a bit of humor thrown in. HAHA.

There’s still plenty to do, but I remind myself that I have time. I’ll tackle each task gradually, one box, one plate at a time. Patience is key, and I’m not going anywhere. This home is where I’ll settle in, make memories, and create my sanctuary.

Thank you for my home Shearers, it is so lovely living on my own and I am in such a peaceful place.

24-17. Catch you Later

Sara’s View of Life with Sara Troy, on air from April 23rd

It was an overnight sensation that took years to make. It is funny how we discover people and think they are an overnight sensation, where it took years of struggle to get there. My own journey has been twelve years in the making, with almost eleven years of my own network.

When you think about it, it is more like a lifetime because of all the experiences you acuminate over the years. I did not become who I am today yesterday, it took my sixty nine years of life and then finding a path which I love and allowing it to guide me to where I was meant to be, doing what I was meant to do.

This year has been my harvest. With my own memoir out there, Sara’s Self Discovery to Soul Living, and the production of Our Forgotten Children book and contributing in two other books, it was many seeds coming to fruition all within five months. Four books, a new home ( which my daughter and husband and brought for me) and my son and fiancé providing help in moving and a new couch, I am blessed and truly grateful.

The universe works in its own way; although I have asked and worked for these things, the universe decides when it is time. The alignment of he stars, energies, and people, all have to be in sync to make it happen, and this is the right time now.

So as I take a couple of weeks off to move from two cities into one. I leave you with 3600 shows all found under these genres HERE I have done already this year 98 shows, and after my moving break, so much more to come, including the invitation to be in the Coaching Your Self Discovery anthology.

Enjoy all the shows thus far, and I will catch you all later when all new show will air from May 20th on.

24-14. The Seeds are in FULL BLOOM

Sara’s View of Life with Sara Troy, on air from April 2nd.

I have a full garden of blossoms, four books in five months, moving to my own home, a new city, a new chapter with my daughter her husband and Grandkids. These are exciting times.

I am moving a partial home from Victoria to Nanaimo and then storage from Vancouver to there. I am not looking forward to the actual move, I still have to find movers. I am so looking forward to settling in to my new home and life.

I have seeded these things for a long time, and now they have come all together at full blast. Four books in five months, one my own memoir, one I produced and wrote a chapter in, and two I participated in. I am very proud of this achievement, but it did not happen over night.

Our Forgotten Children is a campaign to bring awareness to the changes needed in our children’s lives. When we support families we support children, when we see what they need to know to prepare them for an extraordinary world, we change the systems; but, if we are not aware of the disfunction happening now, how do we know what changes are needed.

My Memoir is a view on my life and how I became Sara today. It is strange to write one’s life, but here it is, a view of my journey to self discovery and soul living.

Dare to live fearlessly is another book I am in, I wrote a chapter on overcoming fear to be me. Each author has shared how they over came a fear in their life.

Mission 262 is a unique book that has 262 women authors who share their reflections on work and inspiration. It will make a great book in any office, waiting room, cocktail table, and so much more. This comes out in May, and I should be settled by then, I hope.

I am so appreciative for all that is happening to me for me, once I am settled in my new home the next anthology will go into production; this one is Coaching Your Self Discovery with coaches in all aspects of life. Then Our Forgotten Senior’s and next year, round two on Our Forgotten Children series.

For now, it is packing up, hoping my body will support the move, and settling into a new world.
