These projects raised awareness and, in some cases, large sums of money for others. Much of this was done while Tenzin (”Ten”) himself remained homeless and panhandled for food money on the streets.

George Sewell describes himself as a cognitive philanthropist. As a playwright he has written plays for community theatre, college theatre, and dinner theatre. He was awarded the Louisiana Division of the Arts Fellowship in Theatre (Playwriting).
Vocationally, he is retired as a counselor (MA Counseling, Louisiana Tech, and Licensed Prevention Professional), program manager, and administrator in the field of addictive disorders, including problem gambling. Natalie Zett wrote a book where the main character is not a person, but a tragedy that few have heard of: The Eastland Disaster of 1915. Some things I learned from my book writing adventures—when you awaken the dead, expect the unexpected.
A ship chartered for Western Electric’s yearly company picnic capsized in the Chicago River, killing 844. To this day, only a few have heard of The Eastland Disaster. I’d like to help change that with my book, Flower in the River .It is all about the tragedy of the Eastland Disaster of 1915 in downtown Chicago and the benefits of exploring family history. The unexpected consequences of writing about family history, and how to talk to the dead and to have them talk back. How can your family history research can help the living. Exploring your own life through the lives of your ancestors Why do you say Supernatural occurrences are normal for genealogists What’s (Working) Class Got to Do with it? Why are some tragedies, such as the Titanic, remembered and extolled, while others, such as the Eastland Disaster are forgotten? I have some theories. Memento mori, that is, remember that you are a future dead person and consider what you want to leave behind for those who will want to know you 100 years (or longer) from now. Our genealogical identities are often more complex than we realize.
Natalie Zett is a writer, actor, photographer, and musician and has worked as a freelance journalist for magazines and papers since her late teens. Her favorite writing job was working for an award-winning community newspaper in Saint Paul, “The Park Bugle”. Natalie also taught others how to write for community newspapers at The Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis, MN. And, during the last few years, she became a family historian. Natalie is a proud graduate of Ursuline College, Pepper Pike, OH where she majored in business administration. She also graduated from Luther Seminary, Saint Paul, MN, where she received an M.A. in Systematic Theology.
Natalie is drawn to misplaced and forgotten stories because they’re more compelling than the world would let us believe.

An Authors Kiss with Sara Troy and her guest Stacy Lee, on air from September 6th
Stacy Lee talks about the latest books in her Amazon best-selling Historical Fiction series, set on the beautiful and enchanting New England beaches of York, Maine The Nubble Light series is set on the beautiful and enchanting New England Beaches of York, Maine. Each of these novels are separate stories that appeal to readers of all ages, especially women. Young adults to seniors have confessed to falling in love with characters that will feel like friends in these quick reads.
Each novel consists of a female main character who has a personal obstacle to overcome. Some learn about the importance of second chances, while others are challenged to love without hesitation. In each story, someone returns to her hometown. Whatever the lesson may be, they learn from the experience of other characters, as the action toggles between multiple time periods, mainly the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, and present day.
“Written like a movie, these books offer entertaining, unique twists in a warm and fuzzy Hallmark-type way,” says the author. “There is a constant action in these quick, easy reads that zero in on human connection and how people bond with one another.”
There are currently three books in the series with the fourth book on the way this August. Stacy Lee is the author of three Amazon best-selling books that make up The Nubble Light series: The Hundredth Time Around, Future Plans, Never In A Billion and Ten Percent Of My Heart. The fourth installment, Ten Percent Of My Heart, releases in August. She is a lifelong resident of New England, where the books take place.
Stacy enjoys spending time in the beautiful and historic town of York Beach, Maine with her family. The Nubble Lighthouse holds a special place in her heart and inspired the setting for her historical fiction series.
Her education includes earning a Master’s Degree in Christian Ministry and Homiletics from Liberty University; a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Administration from Jones International University; and a Bachelor of Science in Childhood Studies from Plymouth State University. She earned a Teacher’s Certificate K-8, and a Principal’s Certificate for K-12.
She was an elementary school teacher who taught courses, including writing, for a dozen years before becoming a connections lead for a major church for four years. The last six years she served as an event planner and seminar manager at a law firm. She is also involved in a family business, a food-distribution company.
Stacy lives in New Hampshire with her husband, two children, and two well-loved (spoiled) rescue pups.
