C24-11. Stefani Seek & The Love Compass

Choose Positive Living with Sara Troy and her guest Seek, on air from March 12th

In today’s episode, we speak with best-selling author, business and life coach, Stefani Seek, about how we often fall into the trap of letting life happen to us, instead of designing our lives as deliberate creators.   Stefani shares how our upbringings, societal norms, lack of self-love and others’ expectations can lead us away from our authentic selves, and how it is never too late to pause, realign and become the creator of the life you really want.  Listen for practical guidance on how you can begin to redesign your life at any age and to receive inspiration about why you deserve to create a life you love.

My mission is to help people understand that they can be the creators of their own lives by loving themselves more.  I understood this concept to a degree growing up due to goals I would set and achieve, but I fell short in my romantic life when I didn’t love myself enough and I was too much of a people-pleaser to ask for what I wanted.  I got married twice and divorced twice by the age of 42, and those experiences made me question all of my life choices up to that point.  I realized that in my romantic relationships, and also in certain aspects of my career, I was letting life happen TO me rather than creating it FOR me.  I now use my life experiences to help people uncover what holds them back from living the life they desire and dream of, so that they can experience more abundance, more joy and more satisfaction.

Stefani spent 25 years in corporate America as an executive sales leader for esteemed global companies including Salesforce and Gartner.  Despite career success, Stefani found herself facing her second divorce by the age of 40 while also a busy mom to three daughters, which led her to a deep journey into what makes relationships stick for the long-term or fade away.  During this discovery, she became the author of the category best-selling book The Love Compass: A Girl’s Guide to Finding Authentic Love (Amazon, Audible).  She also founded Seek Love, LLC, to provide life and career coaching to individuals, as well as sales coaching and workshops for B2B corporations under the company name of Love the Sell.  Stefani is an in-demand public speaker, inspiring audiences to uncover new ways of creating the abundance, careers, and relationships they seek.   Stefani leverages her sales training and her own experiences of heartbreak, divorce, dating, finding new love & corporate-to-entrepreneur transitions to help everyone from executives to stay-at-home mothers up-level the areas of life in which they want to find more joy and fulfillment.  Stefani believes that thoughts become things, and that when we change our thought patterns, we can change our lives.

YH24-11. Dr. Timothy Teel & Our Gut Health

Your Health is Your Choice with Sara Troy and her guest Dr. Timothy (Tim) Teel, on air from March 12th

Dr Teel is a retired ear, nose and throat surgeon now turned author, coach and course creator.  During the last 4 years of his practice, he found more powerful medicine in the food we eat and the thoughts we think and how they affect our health in profound ways.  When standard medical treatment failed to adequately address his “globus” patients’ health concerns, he started looking at the food they were eating and found multiple diet triggers that were the true cause of the complaints.  When these offending foods were removed, many of their other health complaints resolved…completely.  When his own health started to fail, he applied his own brand of medicine and had dramatic results that brought other, even more profound benefits.  He now teaches how to enjoy the benefits of feeding our caveman bodies the way they were created to function.

Our bodies are physically responsive to our emotional experience of life.  And, just like a computer program, there is an emotional program that runs in each of us.  The “default” program is fear-based and designed to help us survive and it serves us faithfully.  There is an infinite number of other programming possibilities including love, hope, motivation, inspiration, peace, serenity that we can experience if that is what we choose.  Waking up to this possibility often requires a “life-quake” like a job loss, death of a loved one….or a diagnosis that threatens our very existence.  My experience with a 35-year survivor of recurrent esophageal cancer and his protocol for survival clearly demonstrated to me how focused, creative and organized emotional energy can affect a body.  However, if we fail to continuously choose to experience life as we would like, the survival-level programming will take over as a default and we continue down the path of automaticity.  I believe, based on observation, lab evidence and intuition that this program runs in our DNA, can be passed to subsequent generations and is re-writable.  This philosophy flies in the face of the conventional narrative that 97% of DNA is “junk” because the people who write medical textbooks have deemed it so.  If we are to move forward with our understanding of these bodies and our lives, we MUST challenge convention and consider alternatives, experiment with them and change our paradigm when a new philosophy demonstrates progress.   My philosophy places the power of controlling our emotional response to life and subsequently exerting control over our physical bodies in the control of us individually.  It is my mission to teach as many people as I can the specific steps of how to tactically use emotion and imagination to affect our physical health in ways we haven’t even considered.

Dr. Teel has spent his entire adult life fascinated with human development, personal development and the connections between food, emotion and health.  After completing his medical training, he returned to Oklahoma where he practiced for 7 years.  His efforts to establish patient safety and teach patients how to heal their bodies left him informally banned from practicing medicine in Oklahoma.  He retired from medicine while living in Texas and began his writing and coaching career teaching the principles of using diet and lifestyle management to create transformative healing of both acute and chronic illness.
