“Positive Birth Psychology” and why a positive emotional and positive habits approach is now more needed than ever in birthing!

During these times of a global pandemic, there number of people all over the world, suffering from anxiety, depression and worries is on the rise. I read that depression has risen by 300 %.

The vision of “Pregnancy and Birth” does not seem to be a happy event anymore. Now there are so many changes in hospitals, the birthing experience is being overshadowed by uncertainty, anxiety and worry. 

“Positive Birth Psychology” gives pregnant women and their partner’s simple exercises and techniques to go from pessimism to optimism; retraining your mind, body, emotions into doing more positive habits, more often. Many of the techniques can be done with a birthing partner which strengthens the bond in the relationship and includes the partner more in the birthing journey.

As an experienced midwife and NLP Trainer /Hyopnotherapist, I like to work with different methods to empower my clients to feel more positive, build  true resilience and create more happy and posititve habits that they benefit from during pregnancy to birth and into the rest of their life. I know, it is hard to keep smiling when the world is upside down, but to smile is to share the light of hope when we need it the most. A smile is so simple and has such an impact on all those who receive it.

I know you think no one can see the smile through the mask, but a smile can be heard in your voice and seen in your eyes even in your posture.

Is it so hard to give a smile? no, it makes you feel better, it is one of those things that has a positive impact on the giver and receiver. When you smile, you are saying you care to the person you smile to. When they smile back, it is a gift to you .

A smile can say so much…

I care

I see you

I hear you

I feel for you

I have empathy towards you.

A smile takes nothing to do, but says so much and shows such kindness in one smiling way.

I have always been a cosmos person, I found it very hard to relate to earth because of the deep hate vibrations. I am in love with nature, the trees speak with me as they rustle through my hair and kiss my brow, clearing me of all that concerns me. The water cleans my soul and conduits my beingness. The earth is where I had the issue, too thunderous, but now I have connected to the earth core of amber, and it has become my fuel of energy to align my cosmic being into greater heights and depths.

My “why” that brings me alive and into service of life and the world.   I want to learn how to human well.  It appears to me that we, as a species, are not humaning very well at present.  What does it mean to be a true expression of the universe, to express our full cosmic potential?  This is my quest, which is captured in my forthcoming book, Syntony Sense: Evolutionary Intuition for World Changers.  Of course, the real joy is in humaning well together.  If you’ve ever seen a murmuration of starlings, whirling with exquisite grace and unity in the evening sky, you can imagine what it would be like to dance this way with all of creation, from moment to moment.

In terms of who I am, I would describe myself as a researcher, professor, martial artist, punster.  Expressions of Ubuntu and empathy fascinate me so I study them at the nexus of holistic being, transcendent consciousness, and curated emergence.  My work focuses on the praxis of evolutionary systems design (ESD), systemic innovation for thrivability, and syntony as an organizing force in social evolution.  I am also is President of the Bertalanffy Center for the Study of Systems Science (BCSSS), Research Director at the Laszlo Institute of New Paradigm Research (LINPR), Global Ambassador of Global Education Futures (GEF), and author of over a hundred publications in journals, books, and encyclopedias on systems design and social ecosystems.
