Choose Positive Living with Sara Troy and her guest Gina Charles, on air from July 25th

FUEL Your Life, A 4-Point Practice To Spiritual Awakening, is the newest book by author and illustrator Gina Charles. The book examines the limitations of thought and rote behaviour and provides a 4-point practice as a means of creating positive change and self-empowerment. The FUEL Your Life process is presented as an authentic living lifestyle, and an awakened state of being.
Charles points beyond the conceptual understanding of spirituality, to living it in contemporary society. Witty illustrations translate awakened perspectives and bridge a gap to a greater understanding of the duality of the human experience. The 4 practices of FUEL Your Life serve to awaken innate metacognitive ability, and is what Charles alludes to when she says, “There is another way to have this human adventure.”

The book provides “Fifty Shades Of Awakening” or 50 examples of real-life experiences, such as hurt, relationships, purpose, even joy, looking at them through the FUEL Your Life perspectives. Each of the fifty shades ends with an inspirational empowerment and all 50 empowerments are listed at the back of the book for easy reference.
Raised in Long Island, New York, Gina Charles experienced lucid dreaming as a child and developed an early interest in spirituality. Alongside Apparel Design and Graphic Art careers, she maintained an inward journey. Charles is the author and illustrator of 2 books, “Shift Happens” and “FUEL Your Life,” author of the “Authentic Living Blog,” and founder of the New World Apparel dot com. Charles continues to write about authentic living and spiritual awakening
with wit and practicality, offering authentic living as an alternative way to have the human adventure.

Michael says, “I actually started my magic and music career back home in 1970’s Montreal, using the stage name “Shawn Stevens”, because I liked Shawn Phillips’ mystical image and the music of Cat Stevens. As a solo act and with only my acoustic Aria, I did colleges, Parks and Recreation events, and coffeehouses in and around my Montreal. Never reaching the musical heights of my drummer father Lou Likey who put me through college with his career, (he made quite a name for himself back then) he bought me my first guitar (the Aria) at Steve’s Music Store in downtown Montreal, as well as my second guitar, a lovely nylon-stringed one from Pascal, a hardware store near our home in Cote-des-Neiges!”
