C 17-30a Authentic Living with Gina Charles

Choose Positive Living with Sara Troy and her guest Gina Charles, on air from July 25th

FUEL Your Life, A 4-Point Practice To Spiritual Awakening, is the newest book by author and illustrator Gina Charles. The book examines the limitations of thought and rote behaviour and provides a 4-point practice as a means of creating positive change and self-empowerment. The FUEL Your Life process is presented as an authentic living lifestyle, and an awakened state of being.
Charles points beyond the conceptual understanding of spirituality, to living it in contemporary society. Witty illustrations translate awakened perspectives and bridge a gap to a greater understanding of the duality of the human experience. The 4 practices of FUEL Your Life serve to awaken innate metacognitive ability, and is what Charles alludes to when she says, “There is another way to have this human adventure.”

The book provides “Fifty Shades Of Awakening” or 50 examples of real-life experiences, such as hurt, relationships, purpose, even joy, looking at them through the FUEL Your Life perspectives. Each of the fifty shades ends with an inspirational empowerment and all 50 empowerments are listed at the back of the book for easy reference.
Raised in Long Island, New York, Gina Charles experienced lucid dreaming as a child and developed an early interest in spirituality. Alongside Apparel Design and Graphic Art careers, she maintained an inward journey. Charles is the author and illustrator of 2 books, “Shift Happens” and “FUEL Your Life,” author of the “Authentic Living Blog,” and founder of the New World Apparel dot com. Charles continues to write about authentic living and spiritual awakening
with wit and practicality, offering authentic living as an alternative way to have the human adventure.

TSM 17-29a Cancer can be a “Passport to Life” with Annie Pool

Their Story Matters  with Sara Troy and her guest Annie Pool, on air from July 18th

Annie has overcome incredible odds in her lifetime. In 2013, she was diagnosed with incurable cancer, a crisis that would test her physically, emotionally and financially.

There is a tsunami of information out there about how to heal your physical body after a cancer diagnosis. But what if you could tap into the healing power of your mind to help overcome your health challenge?

Annie is a Passport To Life Coach who empowers cancer survivors to do just that – to write a new story after cancer so they can heal – body, mind and spirit.

Annie Pool faced her own battle with cancer when was about to realize a dream of hosting life-changing tours in Ireland for women. When the dream is finally so close she could almost taste it, her dreams collapsed into despair when she was shocked to hear the words, “You have incurable cancer.”

Then and there, she decided that enough was enough.

Instead of caving into her fears, Annie decided to do something drastically different. She chose to tell herself a new, happy story about her life, and that she would find a way to heal the pain from her past. It turns out, she made a powerful shift.

January2014During those months of recovery, Annie imagined that she was travelling on a life-changing trip to Italy and Ireland. She made herself believe this wonderful story by stepping into it each day with all the detail and emotion she could muster up.

Surprisingly, she was able to tap into the joy and lightness of living again. Within less than 6 months, Annie was 100% completely cancer FREE.

Her upcoming book, “Passport To Life – How I Overcame Incurable Cancer Through the Power of Travel,” tells how she tames the monster of cancer by transforming it into a wonderful adventure — all through the power of travel. It’s a story about healing that transcends conventional understanding and is scheduled for release on July 31/2017.

Annie now helps cancer survivors experience extraordinary breakthroughs by empowering them to close the chapter on pain from the past to write a new story after cancer.

ANNIE SAYS,

“The most powerful answer to cancer lies within YOU.”

TSM 17-26 Dyslexics as a gift – a natural ability with Sue Hall

Their Story Matters with Sara Troy and her guest Susan Hall, on air from June 27th

What Is Dyslexia

Dyslexia literally means ‘trouble with words’. The term dyslexia can be used in two ways:

  • specifically for challenges with reading and spelling, or
  • as an umbrella word to encompass over 70 so-called learning disabilities.

Stereotypically, people with dyslexia reverse letters and words and have difficulty with reading and spelling, but this is not always the case. They may read well, they may have difficulty with printing, processing, written output, math, directions, organisation or paying attention.

Dyslexics have a gift – a natural ability.

Ron Davis, the author of The Gift of Dyslexia, discovered he had an ability to perceive mental images as if they are real, and to view these images from many different perspectives. One-third of the population share this gift. It works to their advantage in the real three-dimensional world, and many famous dyslexics succeeded because of their gift, not in spite of it.

However, this gift works against them in the two-dimensional world of print. If a person imagines a 3D elephant and perceives it from many angles, it is always an elephant, but in the 2D world of print, a lower case ‘d’ is only a ‘d’ from one perspective. Also, the letters in the word have to be seen from left to right in a certain sequence, rather than the other way around…

SueHallimage002-300x219Sue’s training began experientially at school. By the age of 18, Sue remembers promising herself that she would never read another book as long as she lived.  It was a solemn heartfelt promise that lasted many years! She worked as a secretary for several years, before changing direction to train as a Reflexologist, with Therapeutic Massage, Reiki, Bach Flowers, Metamorphic Technique, Hopi Ear Candles and Nutritional advice.

When her son started school, she noticed his reading ability did not relate to his intelligence and powers of memory. She discovered he was dyslexic; he had learning assistance and eventually went to a special school for dyslexics, where his abilities did improve, but when she attended a lecture on “The Gift of Dyslexia” she realized this was the much needed positive approach she had been looking for. After his program, her son described his dyslexia as a wound – other systems had given him band-aids for his wound, but his Facilitator had helped him to heal it himself!

Sue trained as a Davis Dyslexia Correction Facilitator with Ron Davis in the UK, and was delighted to discover that she too was dyslexic. She emigrated to Canada in 1998 and is one of over 400 Facilitators worldwide. Sue feels very privileged to help those with ‘the gift’ overcome their challenges and enjoy learning. She is totally dedicated to this approach, knowing it addresses the cause of the challenges.

Sue loves to speak to groups of parents, teachers, educators, and of course dyslexics, sharing her knowledge of the perceptual gift that underlies their talents and their challenges.  She is truly thankful for to all her students, past and future for the learning experience that they share together.

LM 17-25 Sing to Feed your Heart & Soul with Dr Michael Likey

“for the LOVE of Music” with Sara Troy and her guest Dr Michael Likey, on air from June 20th

Join us on why music all music feeds the soul and how every voice needs to sing. Singing to set yourself free, for fun, to invite, to feel and to connect to our divine love, singing can do all of this.

Michael says, “I actually started my magic and music career back home in 1970’s Montreal, using the stage name “Shawn Stevens”, because I liked Shawn Phillips’ mystical image and the music of Cat Stevens. As a solo act and with only my acoustic Aria, I did colleges, Parks and Recreation events, and coffeehouses in and around my Montreal. Never reaching the musical heights of my drummer father Lou Likey who put me through college with his career, (he made quite a name for himself back then) he bought me my first guitar (the Aria) at Steve’s Music Store in downtown Montreal, as well as my second guitar, a lovely nylon-stringed one from Pascal, a hardware store near our home in Cote-des-Neiges!”

Dr Likey, has had an extraordinary life’s journey and along the way has been a student of many modalities. To hear about his METAPHYSICAL journey and hear his other show with me please  GO HERE
