Sync’s genesis spans more than thirty years and began in 1987. On the
the floor of a New York City living room with a map of the world, a perennial the question was posed in earnest: “who in heaven are we and why on earth are we here?”. Eleven years later on the floor of the United Nations that the question would resound in the form of Sync’s original incarnation; Hands Around The World: Humanity Celebrates The Millennium during a world television forum addressing the future of this upcoming defining moment in history.

All the rhetoric and wisdom of the ages would no longer suffice for such a
turning point in time. It merited a revolutionary-evolutionary next step. From conceptuality to actuality. Nothing short of an epic event with an unheard of a theme (a multicultural celebration of Humanity, broadcast live worldwide) could captivate a global audience’s attention and perhaps instill wonder.
Thus a dazzling hi-concept television spectacular was born. It would
capture the majesty of a global home inhabited by billions of intimate strangers struggling to co-exist — and all because of a simple choice they
were uniformly denied; to be born. What sounded like a “psy” fi film starring everyone on earth in their unprepared roles of a lifetime was to become a bonafide adventure, in reality, involving American, British, French, and ultimately German partnerships.
A man-made celebration of our multi-faceted self.
The notion was unprecedented back then. Yet as our global home now
pitches and careens to extremes with Unprecedented as the new normal, a
live “wow-event” about who on earth we all seem is more plausible and
timely than ever.

Her hope is to usher in a modern-day Renaissance, inspiring individuals

worldwide to live more consciously and conscientiously through

enlightened “edutainment” experiences (education-entertainment) which

help us reimagine the face of our Global Selfie from the insight out.

CLIMATE CHANGE EXPERT: Tom Harris, is Executive Director of the International Climate Science Coalition (ICSC). Man-made climate change is the greatest threat facing humanity! Or, at least that is what many politicians, activists, and United Nations bureaucrats keep telling us. But according to the latest Gallup poll, virtually nobody in the United States actually believes it. And the UN own polling demonstrates that, across the world, the public rate climate change dead last among issues they would like the agency to focus on. In telephone interviews conducted July 1-11, 2018 with a random sample of 1,033 adults, ages 18+, living in all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia, Gallup News Service asked respondents, “What do you think is the most important problem facing this country today?” The question was “open-ended” in that a respondent could give any answer they liked. The top problems facing America according to the respondents were “Immigration/Illegal aliens” (22%), and “Dissatisfaction with government/Poor leadership” (19%). Two per cent of respondents cited “Environment/Pollution,” but no one mentioned climate change or global warming. No one.

ICSC Mission Statement

Advised by independent scientists, economists and energy and policy experts, the ICSC is a non-partisan entity that works to promote better understanding of climate science and policy worldwide. ICSC aims to help create an environment in which a more rational, open discussion about climate issues emerges, thereby moving the debate away from implementation of costly and ineffectual “climate control” measures. Instead, ICSC encourages assisting vulnerable peoples to adapt to climate variability and continuing scientific research into the causes and impacts of climate change.

ICSC also focuses on publicizing the repercussions of misguided plans to “solve the climate crisis”. This includes, but is not be limited to, the dangerous impacts of attempts to replace conventional energy sources with wind turbines, solar power, biofuels and other ineffective and expensive energy sources.

Tom Harris is the Executive Director of the International Climate Science Coalition. Mr. Harris publishes often in newspapers across Canada and the US and appears regularly on radio and, TV.

BB18-19 Innovation Addressing the House Crisis in Victoria BC

Terra Floor Plans is a digital floor plan company working to address the housing crisis with its innovative multi-family building design to address the lack of rental units available on the market.

Young entrepreneur Christopher Bauer wants to help solve Victoria’s housing crisis.

The 27-year-old draftsman launched Terra Floor Plans in March 2017, a company that sells cost-effective digital layouts for homes.

Although he has yet to see one of his plans transformed into a bricks-and-mortar building, he is dedicated to his mission. “I’m trying to address the rental shortage side of the housing crisis,” said Bauer, who is focusing on designing multi-family residential dwellings. MORE HERE

Christopher Bauer started his first company in 2014 after going to post-secondary school till 2013. During that time he got a Drafting Certificate, a Diploma in Arts and Social Science, a Diploma in Collision and Refinishing, and an associates degree in Business. Terra Floor Plans was founded in March of 2017 with single-family floor plans which are available on the website for homeowners to buy or builders. In the fall of 2017, after speaking to Lisa Helps and Shayne Ramsay (Ceo of BC housing), Terra Floor Plans came up with our innovative multi-family design which can work for any town or city anywhere in North America, Europe, and Australia. It is unique as it can be built from a two-story with 6 units to a 10-story with 54 units and has co-housing built into the design.

ECOCIDE is: “loss or damage to, or destruction of ecosystem(s) of a given territory(ies), such that peaceful enjoyment by the inhabitants has been or will be severely diminished.”

A law prohibiting ecocide is not yet in place – but with your help as a legal Earth Protector, it can be.

Ecocide Law sits at the heart of an emerging body of law called Earth Law. Earth law puts people and planet first and ensures the well-being of the whole Earth community. Earth Law recognizes that the Earth has natural limits and boundaries, and it is for us to ensure the welfare of the entire Earth Community by putting in place laws that protect future generations.

One-day Ecocide will be a crime. All of humanity depends on healthy ecosystems, so humanity has a choice: to either consciously prevent the extensive destruction of ecosystems or wait for the consequences to impact us directly. Either way, the status quo where Ecocide remains profitable and legal cannot continue forever, so a law preventing it is inevitable and will be with us soon.

However, the Law of Ecocide is more than a peace agenda. It will also trigger the ‘Green Economy’ and create millions of jobs, which will be good for people, societies, governments and shareholders everywhere.

It is happening, and we need to get behind it now.

Identifying ecocide as a crime is not new – Sweden’s prime minister Olaf Palme highlighted it at the time of the Stockholm Declaration in 1972, and it was further discussed in the decades preceding the drafting of the Rome Statute in the 1990s, though it did not make the final draft (except as applied specifically to wartime environmental harm).

It was researched in depth from 2009 by UK barrister Polly Higgins, who proposed it into the United Nations International Law Commission in 2010 as a fifth Crime Against Peace (as the Rome Statute crimes were called). She has advocated its crucial importance ever since. Polly Higgins has familiarised the world with the term “ecocide” in contexts ranging from international diplomatic circles to NGOs and cultural forums to journalists and grassroots activists, inspiring a worldwide awareness of the potential of a law of ecocide.
