I love Victoria BC, I call it my village city because it has everything you could need and because it have a village feeling. I have just moved from Esquimalt, right by the naval docks, a nice area if you have a car, and if you have a family and like strip malls. Been there done that, for me it did not give me the community feeling I seek.

I am now in Fernwood, 4 mins to downtown, (by bus, 15 walking) 10 mins either way to coffee bars, pubs, restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries, and more. More importantly, it feels like a community where you feel a part of it. I have spoken to so many people already and look forward to our next meeting. I can go anywhere alone and not feel uncomfortable, like to a pub. I have wonderful homes around me that have great personalities, just like me. Lol.

I feel a little like I am in England but also a wonderful memory of South Africa, that 70’s hippie vibe meets new age millennials.

Are you at home where you are? Home is where the heart is, where your soul, spirit and mind are, but is your heart still looking for a place that feels like a home? Home is important, yes you go everywhere you go, but when your in a place that matches your vibe, it feels welcoming and home. I am living right now with a wonderful 5ft dot, 85 year old fiesty black belt woman, and she is so much fun, and I feel safe in her presence, really safe.

Next year my own home, in this area, I have found the land, and when it is time, I will find the home to have all my family possessions around me and a place my children can come to too.

Match your good vibration with a place that embraces them, then you are truly home.

As an independent academic, she is a humanities expert, systems thinker and futures consultant. She serves as a CPO (Chief Philosophy Officer) on board of multiple organizations, steering organizational visions and outcomes sourced in the highest values. An international lecturer and speaker, she specializes in ecological literacy and sustainability, value drivers of the new economies, peace and cultural diplomacy, new paradigm of human development and creative sides to future making. She is the Chair of the Membership Communications Committee at the World Academy of Art and Science. Mila is a Global Member of Protopia Labs and a Global Collaborator at the Global Education Futures (GEF) Foundation and a co-author of the GEF Report, Educational Ecosystems for Societal Transformation.

Mila is the Co-Chair of the Global Blockchain and AI Council and a Founding Member of the Global Women in Blockchain. She is a Fellow of Vital Voices – Global Women’s Leadership and an Associate Expert on ethics and gender issues at the European Commission. As the proponent of eco-conscious business, Mila serves on the Executive Committee / Brains Trust of Hazel Henderson’s Ethical Markets Media and is a member of the MasterMind Group at DaVinci Institute. She is an Expert on the Gender Equality Impact Panel of the Katerva Award – the so-called “Nobel Prize in Sustainability.”

Mila’s work is sourced in three major domains: systems sciences and integral knowledge, psychology of transformation, and anticipation and future studies. She has developed a distinctive spectrum of practices – a confluence of academic engagements and artistic creations – for the art and science of transformation, which she lectures on and teaches internationally. Nick Duffell was born in 1949, took his degree in Sanskrit at Oxford. He has been a teacher, care-staff, carpenter, divorce mediator, psychotherapist and management consultant. In 1990 he began offering specialist group therapy to Boarding School Survivors (as he provocatively named adult ex-boarders). Ten years later he published his findings in The Making of Them, The British Attitude to Children and the Boarding School System, which has received wide critical acclaim, including an endorsement by the BMJ.

In 1996, with his wife Helena Løvendal-Duffell, he founded the Centre for Gender Psychology, which offers public workshops as well as specialist training for professionals in the field of relationships, sex, and gender. In 2002 HarperCollins published their book Sex, Love and the Danger of Intimacy, which has now been translated into several languages.

He now specialises in training couple-therapists, working with men’s issues, and is a frequent contributor to theoretical debates in the psychological press. He spends his non-work time deep in the French countryside, caring for trees and vegetables, experimenting with solar power and sawing his own wood.

Synchronistory’s roots reach back more than thirty years. It began in 1987 on the floor of a New York City living room, where a world map lay open and a timeless question was asked in earnest: “Who in heaven are we, and why on earth are we here?”

Eleven years later, that same question echoed on the floor of the United Nations in the event’s original incarnation: Hands Around the World: Humanity Celebrates the Millennium, introduced during a world television forum exploring the future of this defining moment in history.
