Their Story Matters with Sara Troy and her guest Michele Kambolis from Harbourside Family Counseling Centre aired August 11th
One in five children has a diagnosable mental disorder; one in eight experienced clinical levels of anxiety. Amidst these extremes, every family must deal with some level of childhood stress: worries about changes at home, school pressures and scary headlines. What caused this surge in anxiety in our young people? How can parents combat this? Esteemed child and family therapist Michele Kambolis combine theory and practical, play- based activity to help this ‘generation stressed’.
Kambolis shows how to translate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques from her book Generation Stressed into fun, playful exercises that can be practised by parents with their children. CBT is the top, evidence-based toolset to reduce childhood anxiety; it teaches children powerful ways to change their thinking patterns and actions to decrease stress and increase resiliency.
Children experiencing high levels of anxiety are more likely to be physically sick, experience additional social problems, suffer from weakened brain development, and be less financially independent in later life. At a time when mental health is at the forefront of many parents’ priorities, Kambolis demystifies methods that ensure our children’s mental well-being. At the heart of these methods is a focus on joyful parenting and the relationship between parent and child.
Michele Kambolis(MA) is a registered Child and Family Therapist and Parent Educator dedicated to raising awareness about mental health issues. She is currently pursuing her PhD program in Mind-Body Medicine at Saybrook University and is passionate about supporting global health initiatives. Her book, Generation Stressed, has received widespread praise from therapists, families and media alike.Kambolis writes a popular weekly parenting advice column, Parent Traps, for The Vancouver Sun.
Michele shares with us an easy to use handbook which offers original, engaging and effective exercises developed by Kambolis that you can use at home, on the road and in social settings to alleviate the symptoms of anxiety in your child.

Positive Vibrations Roundtable with Sara Troy and her guests Belinda Farrell and Jeff Cannon aired July 14th-2015.
This is an opportunity for us to talk about simplifying and removing all those things that do not bring you joy. It is a process we all need to go through from time to time, removing the clutter in our lives, both in terms of “things” we attach ourselves to, as well as with people, work and even ideologies. I am delighted to have both Belinda and Jeff back again discussing in how we all can embrace our own Positive Friggin Conversations within us.
Belinda Farrell is a courageous woman sharing personal woes so that others may find strength in their own journey. She lights the path of hope, brightens the realm of despair and embraces the act of survival. Cal-Berkeley graduate, MomSnow White” almost CIA agent, stunt car driver, actor, writer, hot coal walker, Huna teacher, wild dolphin swim guide, she’s a New Millennia Renaissance woman offering good health and holistic healing.
Her new book Find Your Friggin’Joy is not for the faint of heart, but a manual for those brave enough to confront their demons, face their feelings, and exalt their potential”. This book takes you on a journey using Ancient Hawaiian Teachings that invite the reader to take personal responsibility to unplug from the old non-productive stories and step into the frequencies of your Higher Self. Connecting with these frequencies can heal your physical body, bring you back into balance, lighten your load, and fulfill your soul’s purpose. It’s all up to YOU! When Belinda was forty eight she collapsed with herniated discs and spinal nerve damage. Threatened with paralysis by her medical doctors if she didn’t have surgery, Belinda instead chose to apply the ancient Hawaiian healing practices she had been learning for the past three years which are covered in this book. Her back completely healed including childhood scoliosis. Belinda retired from stunt car driving and, for fifteen years has been sharing these healing practices with others. She offers Reconnective Healing and Huna in Santa Cruz, Ca. and takes clients to Hawaii to teach Huna and swim with wild spinner dolphins. The dolphins help us to dissolve fear with an open heart expanding our reality through their vibrational tones so that we experience our deepest joy.
The Conversation is less a book than it is an experience. Based on the five lucid dreams of the author and Modern American Monk, Jeff Cannon, The Conversation travels the energy of existence from the physical to the metaphysical and beyond as it takes its reader on a journey that balances God and Evolution, Spirituality and Science, the Human and the Divine.
This is a simple story of awakening through the transference Jeff experienced with his dream-guide on the Greek island of Ithaka and through the simplicity of Love.
The Conversation is the basis for much of Jeff’s teachings. It weaves Western science and Eastern philosophy into a wonderful tapestry and meditation on Life, Death, Love and Transcendence.
Jeff Cannon is the author of numerous books on meditation, spirituality and wellness. He is a member of NYU Hospital’s Patient Advisory Board and a contributor to Huffington Post, Mind Body Green and countless other websites and blogs. He wrote The Simple Truth: Meditation for the Modern World in 2009 after which he founded The Simple Truth Project where he teaches Modern Meditation privately as well as through public workshops.
Jeff has survived 8 brain surgeries that removed more than 22 tumors in as many years. He has witnessed the evolution of neuroscience through each surgery first hand. His first operation used a hand-drill in 1992. His most devastating operation removed six brain tumors in 2009. His latest surgery lasted 14 hours, after which he could not see, speak or stand.
Through each, Jeff has spent months watching his own brain heal and reboot itself.
He has spent years exploring how meditation can help to overcome the issues he has faced, and continues to amaze doctors and researchers with his ability to heal, to recover and to let go so that he can move beyond and live his life.
He now teaches others how to transform their lives through Modern Meditation – the union of traditional Eastern Meditation Practices and Western Science. It is a practice that refines traditional meditation techniques to better respond to the realities of the world we all live in, and to create transformational change in their lives.
Their Story Matters with Sara Troy and her guest Lidia Frederico aired from July 14th on.
The Lidia Frederico Project, former Global Light Project is a non-profit organisation dedicated to help people clear obstacles and find fulfilment in every area of their life: health, finance, relationships, career, personal development and spirituality. We do this by providing information, practical advice, courses, training and individual sessions.
Founded in London in 2009 by Lidia Frederico and a team of supporters, the Lidia Frederico Project is currently working towards opening a center for support, teaching and healing in London to assist those in need.
We aim to give everybody access to a range of professionals and services including conventional and alternative health practices such as acupuncture, dental care, hypnotherapy, yoga or NLP, to business, financial and relationship advice, stress reduction, feng shui and energetic personal, home and business clearing.
25% OF Lidia’s income goes to supporting this coarse.
Lidia Frederico is a lifelong Consciousness Facilitator, spiritual coach, energy therapist, trance medium and author. She is widely sought out by clients and media worldwide. Originally from Portugal, she now hails from London. Lidia inherited her medium and spiritual abilities from a lineage of female healers and mediums on her mother’s side. Lidia has been fully aware of her gifts since childhood, which she nurtured and, in due course, culminated in her developing her channeling abilities by 1993.
Having taken the route of Karate as a child, Lidia opened her own dojo in Lisbon (Portugal) by the time she was 18. At this school, which is still running to this day, Lidia taught children, adults and disabled people. Her continuous dedication to Martial Arts led her becoming Karate World Kata Champion in 1986. As a naturally creative, Lidia turned her hand as a beautician and later enjoyed a long career with government security services.
Lidia is affectionately called ‘the cleaning lady’ as she expertly and thoroughly clears clients of negative influences in their energy fields. By channelling her guides, Lidia identifies all such influences in a person’s life. Depending on the client, this could be anything from a person’s beliefs, thought patterns, entities that have attached and need removing, or the result of those not channelling the light and much more.
Whilst trance channelling, her guides pinpoint how a person’s life is blocked by unwanted energies, people and situations. They proceed to move away from the unwanted influences, sending them back to the light or neutralising their influences in a person’s life. She then works with each client at an energetic level for between three and six months depending on the degree of ongoing support that is necessary. The objective of Lidia’s work is to get clients back on track with the life they were destined to fulfil.
Lidia continues to clean and balance each client’s energy field without interfering with that person until they can stand on their own two feet and, therefore, ensuring that the unwanted influences do not return. She is an Energy and Crystal Therapist, works with the chakras, auras and uses herbs for clearing and cleansing. Lidia is highly adept at soul retrieval and clearing issues from past lives, which is an area that is becoming more widely known to the greater public as a holistic healing modality. Her abilities extend to her having the ability to access the Akashic records of individuals to clear up past karma, thus enabling their life to flow once again. The skill set she has honed over the past 25 years, whilst working with clients, who are from all walks of life, include, clearing at the DNA cellular level, soul retrieval, soul integration, past life regression, healing of past lives, clearing of karma, for individuals as well as their soul group. Utilising the angelic realms, and Ascended Masters to facilitate others lives and the planet. All of Lidia’s Ascended Masters and spirit guides have been tested, so as to corroborate the authenticity of her work. Lidia’s stresses the importance of being on integrity when working at this level and respecting fully all spiritual laws.
It is purely through her faith and belief in a higher power that Lidia has been able to evolve spiritually as she has. This has enabled her to assist those in need of her support at a profoundly deep level. Lidia’s dedication to contribution and service to her family, community and planet is aligned with the Sacred Mother Energy that is urgently needed for the spiritual evolution of Humanity. Her greatest joy is in assisting people to raise their spiritual frequency and, hence the planet, by helping them live fruitful, joyous and happy life.

FROM JIM HENSON TO DAVID LETTERMAN…PC POLICE BEWARE…..ONE OF THE FUNNIEST MEN,
YOU’VE NEVER HEARD OF.What I Discovered by Not Being Discovered
“You have probably never heard of me. There may be a very slight possibility you recognize my name or maybe my face. But I have no delusions. I’ve always said, ‘I’ve sky-rocketed to the middle.’
mp@michaelpaulonline.com
On the eve of packing in a 25 year career, he was asked to write a book about having talent or guts, being praised or slaughtered, getting laid or screwed … the struggle of the climb, the ego of what it is to have “made it” or not and of course, when to bow out.
Production Assistant, turned stage tech, turned puppeteer, turned host, turned comedian, turned writer, turned Director … Michael Paul Ziegfeld was youngest intern hired at NBC after sneaking into the building. He then landed the job at CBS Radio because he was the only person to trudge through the biggest blizzard of the decade for the interview. Years went by with day jobs as a stage tech, to night jobs headlining comedy clubs. He was puppeteering for Jim Henson on a Tuesday and writing jokes for the Letterman show on a Wednesday. ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Could he not find his niche or did he just love it all?
Where does that leave someone in the end?
When is it time to stop the climb?

In BREAKING OUT OF SHOW BUSINESS:
What I Discovered by Not Being Discovered [Post Hill Press 3/3/15], Ziegfeld catalogues his lifelong, unbelievable true stories of breaking into and sustaining a career in show business, albeit, alongside fame. Why did Ben Affleck almost kick his ass? How did he sneak past security to meet the Queen of England? Who did Katherine Heigl want to set him up with?
“Whether you like a humorous, behind-the-scenes glimpse into Hollywood, or a candid “you can’t make this stuff up” account of the industry, this book as it all! The quickest, funniest, non-fiction must read in a very long time.” ~ Ryan Jay – US Weekly, Fox’s Morning Blend
“Some parts are so funny it’ll make you cry and other parts may just make you want to cry. I’ve never read such an honest representation of the roller-coaster that is show business. If you want to know the truth about what it takes to build and create a career for yourself – and how to make the most of it, then this is the book for you.” ~ Christina Bianco – Drama Desk Nominee, YouTube Sensation
It’s a very small percentage of those who become famous. But I never really wanted that. I’ve worked in over forty countries, comedy-toured with some “names,” done some television, a few movies, voiceovers, TV/film puppeteering, off-off-take-a-left-turn-off Broadway, producing, directing, writing, coaching, and I only did restaurant and temp work in my late teens. I haven’t gotten as far as some, but I’ve gotten farther than others who have tried to live a show business life. This is a little taste of my attempts to move up the ladder. I hope you like it. These are the highlights of my life…so far.” – Michael Paul Ziegfeld
