RC18-21 Words that Seed our Children with Brandon Walden,

Raising Our Gifted Children with Sara Troy and her guest Brandon Walden, ON AIR FROM MAY 22ND

Seeds and Trees is a beautifully illustrated story about the power of words. Follow the story of the young prince as he plants, waters and tends to the words (seeds) he’s given until one day he realizes they’ve grown into powerful trees…good and bad.

JOIN SARA AND BRANDON HERE AS WE DISCUSS THE POWER OF WORDS TO OUR CHILDREN

Brandon is an author and a public speaker. However, more importantly, he is a husband and a father of 5 beautiful daughters. Natives of South Carolina, the Walden family is currently residing in Northern California. As a young man, Brandon was a talented singer-songwriter and a gifted visual artist. He dreamed of using his love of art, and desire to help people, by studying art and psychology and had desired to become an art therapist. However, upon graduating high school, Brandon found himself pursuing missions opportunities in third world countries to serve the poor and needy. This decision informed him greatly in his desire to serve the broken, but completely changed his trajectory as a young man. For many years you’d find him travelling the world looking for opportunities to serve.

Several years later he married his best friend, Stephanie. Years into marriage and having children Brandon began a journey of healing and therapy. As a young man, he had endured sexual abuse from the age of 6-9yrs old. This was a secret he held for over 25yrs. He soon realized the pain he was enduring was causing pain to those around him. He’s spent the past 5 years turning hurt into healing and pain into purpose. It was through this healing journey that he began to write his first children’s book called, Seeds and Trees. It’s a story about the heart and the power of words. Brandon often says it’s his personal biography cleverly disguised as a children’s book. He and his wife formed The Treasured Tree, LLC. late in 2017 as a collaborative company creating resources for parents, teachers and therapist. Brandon’s team is currently preparing a curriculum that can be used in public schools and home schools across the nation based on the concepts presented in Seeds and Trees.

Tsm 18-19 Comfort Cases changing children’s lives with Rob Scheer

Their Story Matters with Sara Troy and her guest Robert Scheer, on air from May 8th

On any given day, nearly 437,500 youth in the foster care system in the United States.  Of the thousands of youth who enter the system each year, most arrive carrying little more than the clothes on their backs.  If they are afforded the opportunity to collect any personal belongings, many are then given a trash bag in which to place and carry their personal items.  It is a time of great upheaval and instability, and their first foster home placement is unlikely to be their last.  Many youths in foster care will be moved from home to home multiple times, carrying their life’s treasures in a trash bag.  At Comfort Cases, we believe that every child deserves to feel a sense of dignity.  Every child deserves to pack their belongings in a special bag that they can call their own.  It is our mission as a charity to provide a proper bag, filled with comfort and essential items, to these brave youth in foster care on their journey to find them forever home.

Every child deserves to know that they matter.  When Comfort Cases provides a case to a child in need, we not only offer them new items that they can keep during their journey, we also provide them with dignity and the notion that someone cares about what they are going through.

We have now reached youth in foster care in 34 states, DC, Puerto Rico, and Canada.  We have distributed over 30,000 Cases.  We are so excited by the progress, but also remain steadfastly focused on all the kids we haven’t reached yet.  With nearly half a million kids in care in the US, the need is great, and we have lots of work to do!  Our goal is to put a Comfort Case in the hands of all of the kids in care.

IG 18-14 Searching for the White Magician with Stefania Magidson

Ignite your hearts and souls, with Sara Troy and her guest  Stefania Magidson in Dialogue with Carmen Firan, on air from April 3rd

Searching for the White Magician: Spiritual Psychology and the Manifestation of Destiny.

By Stefania Magidson in Dialogue with Carmen Firan
Her New Book Explores the Meaning of Existence, Revealing that Humanity’s Destiny on Earth Is Influenced by Our Higher Selves-From Philanthropist and Expert in Spiritual Psychology

Are you ready to take a journey that will transform your views on the meaning of life and discover what the driving force is behind it?

Enter Searching for the White Magician, from Stefania Magidson, with Carmen Firan.

With wisdom-filled passages and personal stories, spiritual teacher and student Magidson guides the reader through a series of dialogues exploring themes ranging from immigration and philanthropy to spiritual psychology and self-realization. The book emphasizes the concept that we are spiritual beings having a human experience, and, thus, we have the ability to choose what unfolds for us in our lives.

Searching offers insightful stories woven throughout Magidson’s upbringing in Romania, her journey as an immigrant, and her search for spiritual growth. Her unique journey encapsulates authenticity, wisdom and compassion pursuits as she boundlessly explores the depths of spirituality. No stone on her path has been left unturned: she has delved into the metaphysical, discovered common truths of the world’s religions, and designed a life full of intention and optimism.

Magidson shares her discovery of the essential keys to creating a powerful destiny filled with love, compassion and happiness, and how her interest in esoteric studies has informed her spiritual path. She envisions a more nuanced existence for humanity, including intuition, where all six senses are engaged. Making the abstract accessible, this book inspires both the spiritual expert and novice.

“I invite the reader to join me on a journey of exploration and rediscovery of that inner place that holds the lens of mystery through which life filters if we allow it,” says Magidson. “I invite you to find that magic wand that transforms inner worlds into realities whose potential is only temporarily dormant.”

Proceeds for Searching for the White Magician go to Magidson’s Blue Heron Foundation, benefitting Romanian and Moldovan orphaned and abandoned youth. The organization was founded out of the conviction that we must do all we can to uplift our fellow human beings who cannot yet fend for themselves. Blue Heron’s mission is to provide such opportunities as scholarships and mentorships, offer support for youth intervention for a population vulnerable to human trafficking, and to address the intellectual, social and emotional well-being of their students so that they may become self-actualized, self-sufficient, productive adults.
