Choose Positive Living with Sara Troy and her guest Luis Gonzales, on air from July 14th
Our careers, our companies, our relationships, and our lives succeed or fail, gradually then suddenly, one conversation at a time. With Fierce conversations, we come out from behind ourselves and into our conversations and make them real. We have conversations that make a difference in our organizations, our careers, and our lives while enriching our relationships.
Luis has been an international training professional for over 20 years. He has lived and worked in Mexico, India, and Brazil, with organizations such as Marriott, The Ritz-Carlton, and Microsoft.
Growing up as a gay young man in a Mexican American, Catholic, and misogynist culture was a challenge, for sure. But always the independent thinker, this situation only urged Luis to continue questioning authority, questioning reality, and seeking truth.
Luis Gonzáles is a Master Facilitator and Speaker with Fierce, Inc. Fierce is an award-winning leadership development company whose methodologies help increase a company’s performance through effective communication.
Luis loves his role with Fierce because he gets to help people have more effective, meaningful, relationship-enriching conversations. What he especially appreciates is that these Fierce principles work in our personal lives as well, helping us achieve our goals and enrich relationships.

In his youth, he lived in his VW Bus for a time and traveled with a loose-knit group of like-minded hippies around the US, India, and Europe. These experiences have had a lasting impact on Luis and have also shaped his values and perspective on life.
Currently, Luis loves living the mellow Southern California beach life in San Diego. He enjoys body surfing, yoga, and sunsets over the Pacific.
Ignite our heart and souls with Sara Troy and her guest Ester Shifren, on air from July 14th
Reflections on Isolation and Covid-19 – To Each His Own Experience! Ester has been writing a poem a day since Covid started, each poem reflects how she sees things and gives us hope and a perspective on surviving and thriving another day.
We talk about isolation, which she knows as a prison of war and more, and we seak to what it all means. This is an uplifting and fun conversation between Sara and Ester, do join us.
My own first experience of isolation occurred in 1942 when I was five. Our family, being British, was interned for three years as POWs of the Japanese during their WWII occupation of Shanghai. There were only three Jewish families in our high-walled, guard-gated camp. I suffered extreme loneliness, exclusion, and overt racism from kids needing little excuse to regularly shower me with pent-up hate. I learned to depend on my own resources and creativity to entertain myself during the long days in which we were free to roam around the grounds of our camp. I sketched and colored with whatever limited tools I could find, read books brought in by internees, and danced and sang to myself. I watched over babies in prams for moms doing chores. We were schooled by fellow internee teachers.
Poem on Isolation.
Every day I look outside and wonder should I brave it, And go to do some shopping? Or maybe I should save it for yet another week or two when the news is not so dire. Being at home alone so much, my creative mind’s on fire!I miss events and people, and the times we used to mingle but now I have to settle for the writing of a jingle! And really, isn’t that the thing that I was born to do—To be the all-round artist, the Ester that is true? So I am not complaining, but thanking lucky stars for gifts that whisk me up, away, from earthly woes to Mars. The sky’s NO limit when I’m playing piano, painting, writing—It’s all that I was born to do, what I find MOST delighting!
When writing poems and giving vent I feel my gift is heaven sent. The saying goes, “There’s none so blind”… If I may only change ONE mind Then I’ll continue on my quest, NEVER will I stop to rest! Many are now opening eyes—-they took a while to realize. The one they worshipped, idolized, was not the one they should have prized. As long as I have words that flow, I’ll vent—my hat into the rink I’ll throw! Seek the truth that sets you free—do research–not just from me! Don’t spend your life in misery because you voted abysmally. Be strong, just change, it’s not too late—your vote can change the hand of fate. If you’re honest, have heart and brain, you’ll see these leaders inflicted pain. On many of our brethren—admit it! Change your party—bravely quit it! Please don’t miss it—make a note. November—soon—they’ll count your VOTE!
Weight Loss is not only about losing pounds but about losing the emotional weight we carry around that is blocking our well beingness.
Anna intuitively brings us to a place of self love by taking us through the process of self-discovery and letting go of what does not serve us and helping us ignite the gifts that lay within us.
Anna says “I lead through example – both in my own personal habits – and through my work helping others do the same.”
In my youth, my wakeup call came after a failed suicide attempt.
I decided to choose life. I decided to not only choose life but a happy one. It was from that choice that I began my journey towards true holistic health: mind, body, and spirit.
As journeys are, it wasn’t seamless along the way. However, because my choice to live a happy life was so absolute, I was able to overcome copper toxicity, depression, weight gain, eating disorders, abusive relationships, and negative self-image as well as the stresses of being a single mother of two. I lead through example and though each experience may have been challenging in the moment, each was a gift as they provided me with opportunities for growth and the opportunity to learn the tools I now use to coach others.
My daughters are the big why behind what I do. My struggles with depression, unhealthy eating habits, and weight gain began in childhood. My biggest motivation is to give them the tools and knowledge they need to navigate their own self-growth so that they don’t have to go through the same struggle I did.
Through my professional training and certifications in counseling, holistic life coaching, sports nutrition, personal training, Reiki and my own spiritual intuition – I offer personalized and progressive healing programs, nutrition guides and workouts – along with support in the emotional, mental, and spiritual journey that comes with healing the physical, emotional and spiritual bodies.
I also have the amazing privilege of working with and alongside Rick Fischer, C.H.H.C; H.T.M.A.P (internationally respected HTMA advisor and mentor; Certified Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis Practitioner, a global authority on copper toxicity, and Nutritional Educator and founder of Mineral Mastery education). Rick creates one of the most comprehensive and personalized HTMA-based nutritional client reports and protocols that listens to each person’s symptoms and targets their specific bio-individual mineral imbalances.
When we clear negative beliefs and messages, raise our energetic vibration and choose to live from our authentic selves, while at the same time support our physical body through individualized nutrition and mineral balancing (minerals regulate nearly every function of our body and imbalances affect us both physically and psychologically) our ability to lead an active happy lifestyle becomes easier, automatic and fun.
In combining our unique background and experiences (a personal experience that made what we do come from our hearts), and training, we proudly offer a complete and holistic program (body, mind, and spirit) for supporting women reach optimal health, self-love, high energy and vibration, vitality and happiness.
It is my mission and passion to help women reach their place of optimal health, self-love, life happiness, and to feel incredible living an incredible life!

Building your business with Sara Troy and Andrew Scheffer, on air from June 30th
Are you suffering from
Burnout from putting out fires at work, managing their teams and meeting deadlines
Difficulty shutting off the inner chatter, stopping the inner critic, and unable to be present for meetings while at the office or family members when at home.
Supporting their teams as they navigate today’s difficult and uncertain environments.
Work-related stress bleeding into their family relationships
In college at The Johns Hopkins University, my freshmen roommate turned out to be suicidal. This, combined with being at a top university with an enormous workload, led to me feeling enormous stress and pressure. I sought out books and then teachers who could show me tools that could help me when I needed it most. When I first started practicing mindfulness, I was 20 and studied with westerners who had spent years in Asia living as monks and studying with great masters. I found something compelling about them as individuals because they had an intangible quality that I wanted for myself. Maybe it was happiness, maybe it was a lightness of being even beyond the normal experiences. Whatever it was, I sensed it and wanted it for myself. This led me on a journey over the course of 25 years of seeking out the living Buddhist masters and learning from them directly rather than through intermediaries. What I learned during that time, was that it was not necessary to filter the source teachings, but great benefit could reach more people if they were granted direct access. The only problem was, I understood that most people would not go to Asia or have the chance to study directly with a teacher. Fortunately, the system that they thought from I learned over the course of my 25 years and I am happy to share with you . I have done my best to pass on the direct methods and inspiration, without the cultural or religious aspects. I have applied these methods to my own life and career which has included high pressure jobs at global investment banks and wealth management firms. I have also applied these same methods with much benefit in my relationships with my spouse and children. Bio: Teacher & Technique
