Sara’s View of Life with Sara Troy, on air from May 30th
Are you seen, heard, and respected? And are you receiving what you’re worth in life and being compensated accordingly;? Are you being valued for your contribution? Do you feel worthy of yourself?
We all want to be seen, heard, respected for who we are and what we contribute in life; but it is NOT up to others to place that value on us, but for us to do it for ourselves? We have no control on what people think about us, all we can do is put our best foot forward authentically, and represent ourselves in our own light.
Trying to live by someone else’s expectations is a killer of your spirit, heart, and soul, so know you, care for you, be that light in your own life, stand tall in your own commitments, hear yourself, see yourself for who you really are from the inside out, and not what you WANT people to think of you.
People, nature, the divine wisdom, can guide us along the way to our Self Discovery, but in the end, it is whom we have become that is up to us, no one else, and no one else’s business. You are not here to just please other people while losing yourself; you are here to discover why you are here, to do what, to serve whom and how and with what your gift is. That is your path, and while others can help, prod you and support you, it is still your life’s journey to take.
HOW YOU VALUE YOURSELF, HOW YOU RESPECT YOURSELF AND HOW YOU LOVE YOURSELF, IS WHAT OTHERS SEE IN YOU. SO BE YOUR OWN LIGHT AND SHINE BRIGHT ON OTHERS PATHS, SO THEY MAY SEE THEIR WAY ON THEIR OWN SELF DISCOVERY BECUASE YOU ARE THE INSPIRATION THAT THEY SEEK, JUST LIKE YOUR SOUGHT.

Trevor Noah and Jay Shetty’s talk really spoke to me on their podcasts together; so much of what they say is speaking to me. Being grateful for our resilience to overcome what strife that happens to us and not being grateful for the experience itself.
Trevor is why I watched The DAILY SHOW, it was not just the humour, it was also those profound moments and perspectives that I found so aligning and spoke to the depths of society and our consciousness. He speaks to being an idiot, just a person who asks questions, and is willing to learn, I so relate. I know I am not educated, I speak a lot to knowingness, knowing what I need to know when I need to know it, but always be intrigued and have a willingness to understand a different point of view.
When you are an outsider, which I am also, I need to know why you see, what you feel, or do what you do, so I can understand. Trevor and Jay both are feeling different from others in what ever way, and understand why people can’t always see them. .
THEY SPEAK OF LOSING OURSELVES, the fitting in, the changing for approval, the conditioning of society institutions like religion, society’s dictations, it is easy to lose yourself. Trevor talks about home being the familiar, not the premises the building, but what feels familiar. Trevor is a number 8 which is the achiever and measures life by the goals it reaches. He has a good business sense, a powerful presence, and a strong drive for success. The 8 is also a symbol of balance — you can see it in its symmetrical shape. For every blessing it receives, it puts one back out to the universe. When things are balanced, they feel stable, controlled, and supported, which is the most productive environment for the 8 to work in. I am also an 8, life path, I relate.
Jay purpose is to help others find their purpose. His numerology is a 22 a divine enlightener, which explains why he chose to be a Monk, and now helping others to become who they really are. These profound energies represent the three phases of creation: envisioning, building, and sharing. 22 is the architect, to the world. Master Numbers take a long time for a person to master, so this potential often isn’t reached until later in life. The more of these numbers a person has, the more burdened they may feel. Patience and perseverance are required, but the reward will be so, so worth it.
Trevor speaks to feeling comfortable in chaos, I relate, as hard as I try in having order, chaos is where I end up, there I can make sense out of the chaos.
Trevor is friendly, consistent ,mercurial, ( volatile, capricious, temperamental, excitable, fickle, changeable) I so relate to this, we are perceived as stubborn, but we are mindful, never assume, and we like to seed the opportunities for others. The mind is not everything, soul, spirit, heart connection brings focus. Honour the question with a thoughtful answer.
They speak to the parts of us, is for us, or a disconnect or us. Friendship is the only thing that is your choice, everything else is circumstance. They speak of loneliness, even though they are always around people, but feel so alone; this speaks to be in such a big way, loneliness even in a crowd, has always be a part of me, only when I am personally engaged do I feel connected, but with the wrong crowd utter loneliness. As I grow in my podcasting, I find myself, wanting to retreat from the crowd, and want to less and less be out there with a group or crowd of people, much like Trevor, as even depression can seep in if one is not careful.
Feeling safe in life, is in choosing the people around you that know your vibe, that truly get the real you. There are so many who see you for how your make them feel, but not necessary know you and your many layers. We all have roles we adopt, some are instinctual to us, some conditional, I took on the role of being a people pleaser, the need serve to receive approval, the discovery of self is to know is the role really you intricacy because if not, we become trapped in the expectation role.
Trevor is the most successful comedian in Africa and was the host of the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning “The Daily Show” on Comedy Central. He has written, produced, and starred in 11 comedy specials, including his most recent, “Trevor Noah: Son of Patricia,” which launched in November 2018 on Netflix. He is the author of the #1 New York Times bestseller “Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood” which I loved. Trevor opens the conversation by sharing what it was like growing up, how he sees the rest of the world, and why it felt like it was okay growing up the way he did.
He says if we can see and feel what the least of us feel, it would make us all a lot more appreciative and reflective on what each other really needs.

We look at trauma and believe we are victims of it; maybe it was just an unpleasant experience that we need to learn from rather than let it pull us down into despair. Of course, some are genuinely traumatized by something catastrophic in their lives, but we also go through ups and downs in the life of good and bad experiences is life in itself that are here to teach us, strengthen us, and show us are courage and abilities.
How can we be authentic in who we are? How can we know who we are when we have let life dictate who we should be, going in and allowing ourselves to discover who we are, being who we are from the inside out, is where we will find that authenticity.
I have lived my life trying to fit in, trying to be what others expected me to be, only to let them down and betray myself in the process. I have after a life time stopped being what others want from me and just being my authentic self, who I am in all my flawsomeness.
I suffer from sadness; it is what I feel when I hear the pain, feel the disconnect, and feel pulled to fix something in a world that needs to take ownership of their own pain and fix it for themselves. That is the healing, the growth, the discovery of self, and becoming one’s true authentic self.
Who you are, why you are here, what your gift is, how you use it, and whom you use it for, is why we are here; to serve life with tour particular gift of who we are in all our authentic flawsomeness.

Sara Troy on Sara’s View of Life, on air from January 3rd 2023.
Here we are, a start to a new year, what kind of year will it be I wonder, what kind of unrest of disruption will we have to face and can we face yet another year of such discord??? Haglas the Celtic Rune (disruption) is still upon us, but instead of looking at it as a bad disruption, let us see it as a reconstruction of a society that needs to change the way it looks at life, all life and this earth, and in the way we treat each other and this planet.
Yes, we may be going into a global depression, so much of this is the old paradigm doing things the old way with out remembering the negatives about their decisions, and not entertaining that there could be a better way to do things. Does that mean we just have to blindly follow? NO, it means that each and every one of us needs to look at life, our lives’ from a different perspective and make the changes needed in order to thrive and grow, as individuals and as a human race.
We are the change we seek, so when we decide to come together as a collective, and pool together our experiences, our ideas, and be open to all ideas, we then have a better picture in what the solutions can be, and then to apply them. Do not blindly leave your life up to everyone else. Listen, read, converse, learn and open up to your inner intellect, so you can make choices needed to progress in your own life in a positive manner, and therefor in the lives of others around you.
No matter what we are handed this 2023, let us face the challenges with openness, grace, whole intellect, and with collaborations with each other as a collective. For it is only in this action that we will see any changes for the better. None of us want to see the same-ol same-ol, So let us participate interactively, gracefully, and with open mindedness and heart-feltness to know what we can empower ourselves to do.
May kindness of heart be your compass, and may you open your heart to soul to spirit to mind, in a way that always supports you in everything you are and do.

If we do not take care of the one, then the masses suffer, for we are all one of the masses.
So many speak of the one not mattering against the collective, but is one not part of that collective? The collective is made up of one by one. My analogy is this, we are all in discovery of our instrument, which one to learn to play, how to play it, and then which orchestra to join, where as a collective of strong individuals, we can play together harmoniously.
How can we support the collective if we are selves are not in tune, on the other hand, how can the collective help us get in tuned? I believe by inspiration for it begets invitation for us to try and embrace our own gifts and possibilities ourselves.
The One, ourselves, individuals, solo, can find our own instrument and discover why we need to play it in a certain way. Whom to play it for, because when we do, we not only become the instrument but in our presence, we exude the love of self and all we are out to all who need our essence.
What we feed grows, so when we are the love we feel within, we feed the loving kindness that we all need to grow into that harmony of peace and love. So choose carefully what you want to feed, hate, fear, division, leads down a path of destruction, were as kindness, caring, respect, consideration, understanding, listening and loving, shows us as a light and harmony from the ONE’S to us all to unit as a collective.
We the One’s together as a whole, can build a collection of high wise energy souls that resonate out the kind, caring, healing, considerate, combining energetic love vibration that we all need as a living force.
