It is a NEW YEAR and is a very good time to invest in yourself. First, we have, to be honest with ourselves and the lives we are currently living, are we serving ourselves or crippling our lives? Pat in her honesty shares with us her path of alcoholic destruction and how she finally placed value upon her own life to become a beacon of hope, care and nurturing for others in recovery. We to can overcome when we decide, to be honest about our choices.

Patricia A. Reihl, MPA, LCADC

Pat at PodiumCounsellor and Author

Patricia Reihl has worked in the addiction field since 1977. After securing a nursing license, she began a career as a counsellor in a social setting detox, and next worked as a nurse in a 28-day residential program. In 1980 she went to work in a hospital-based outpatient program where she developed and directed a special outpatient track for female clients.

In 1981 Pat became Director of Spring House, a female halfway house in Paramus, New Jersey. During her tenure, the program was taken from the brink of closing to the largest female halfway house in the State. Spring House serves today as a national and international model. Ms. Reihl has returned many women to the community as sober, productive members of society and has become a role model for the women she serves.

Throughout the years she returned to college to complete both a Bachelor and Master Degree. This schooling qualified Pat to serve on numerous national committees and boards. In addition, she represented halfway houses on a sub-committee of the American Society of Addictive Medicine and become a member of the faculty at the Rutger’s Summer School of Alcohol and Drug Studies. P15/01a When Did You Die & Do you choose to Live

Positive Living Vibrations with Sara Troy and her guest  Temple Hayes Aired January 6th/15

die

8 Steps to Stop Dying Every Day and Start Waking Up

When Did You DIE?  When someone told you that you weren’t good enough? When you buried who you really are for fear that others would disapprove? Or when you gave up your creative dreams to take a “practical” job? Are you in a relationship that does not ‘relate’ to you?

You may not have realized you were dying, but you have been dying a little more each day. And that’s the miracle of Temple Hayes’ remarkable new book, When Did You Die? 8 Steps to Stop Dying Every Day and Start Waking Up (HCI Books). It empowers you to wake up and take back your life!

Hayes is today one of the most respected and authentically inspiring leaders in spiritual enrichment and a sought-after speaker. A Unity minister in St. Petersburg Fl., with a global following, and an extremely popular radio show, Hayes knows firsthand what it is to die to your true self and your dreams.

templeBorn in a rural Southern church-going community, she knew from the beginning she was different from those around her. Her life was filled with strife–violence in the home, a lack of love and compassion, blatant neglect. Her father killed her adored cat, later ran over her dog with his truck and when she was helping her beloved dog, her grandfather–with reckless abandon–ran over her with his car. Horrifyingly, her mother was forced into shock treatments for not conforming to local morale judgments. What terrible message did THAT convey to her preteen daughter? Men tried to force themselves on Hayes. So at 13, she sought to numb the pain with alcohol bought at the local grocery store. But there was more than she was hiding, she knew she had a deep connection to the spirit which no one would approve or believe because it didn’t conform to traditional Christian teachings. And the biggest secret of all was that she was attracted to other girls. So each day, she denied who she was, diving deeper into numbness, dying a little more each day.

And so she raged on, with a drinking problem that resulted in multiple auto accidents, arrests, the loss of her driver’s license, and years of bad behaviour. Over the years, despite outwardly having a very successful professional career in the corporate world, she floundered in relationships, felt empty and hid her sexual identity. And then slowly she emerged — with a deep hunger for spiritual connection, a connection that led to her healing and to the wisdom that she offers in When Did You Die? to help others resurrect themselves.

Says Hayes: “Many people do not realize that there are many layers of being asleep and dying while we are living. We are so caught up in the motions of living, eating, working, and making and keeping appointments that we don’t realize that we died to our potential a long time ago. We have become robotic! How do you know whether you’ve been dying a bit every day? One key way is to notice if you are feeling disconnected or drained rather than energized or impassioned about your life… the inner cause of feeling disconnected and drained is that our society and surroundings often do not allow us the chance to be our true selves. We often approach life being half awake which gets in the way of our success.

“True success is measured by how we thrive and live being totally alive, rather than being drained and weary. Subtle deaths prevent us from experiencing the miracles and magic that are our birthright. Your light is your energy, your gift to the world. And your lightness of being is your gift to yourself. Making a decision to stop dying will greatly increase your capacity to start living and to manifest your true purpose in life. You will now begin to shine.”

When Did You Die? is designed to inspire you to become more alive, more authentic, more youthful, and more energetic!

book temopA much-needed wake-up call for an emotionally and spiritually drained generation, the book offers a profound 8-step program to propel you to a healthier, happier, and more prosperous life. This inspiring, realistic guide is packed with motivational tools, shamanic surprises, daily practices, uplifting parables, and good, old-fashioned Southern storytelling. Chapter by chapter, step by step, you’ll learn how you connect with those subtle moments which will leave you either disconnected and drained or energized and impassioned. Discover practical ways to actually go through fear and not let it stop you. You’ll learn how restoring your soul re-energizes you and creates an open heart. When Did You Die? shifts the paradigm and lifts you to live beyond your greatest vision.

Hayes is the embodiment of what she teaches. Authentic to the core, she inspires millions around the world: “I had almost become comfortable being a chicken even though deep down I always knew I was an eagle destined for an ‘eagle’s life.’ The eagle within me continued to call me to keep going.” And so Hayes did…living in full brilliance instead of dying a bit more each day.

What about bio-individuality, chi energy, ozone therapy, CRP levels, and proper digestion? This book shows you just that. Eliminating metals-especially Mercury from your mouth, together with a detox program, results in amazing improvements in the health of gums and teeth. Learn how to fight stress the great secret to combating inflammation and bleeding and to build a positive mind! “Because we are all unique, everyone’s saliva is different-thick, ropy, or watery-their pH is different, the amount of calculus/tartar deposits is different. Differences depend on lifestyle, bio-individuality, stress, work environment, relationship status, and so on; therefore, no answer fits everyone, no diet fits everyone, and no cleaning fits everyone”

Florentina was born in Bucharest, where she spent her first four-and-a-half years in an orphanage. She was adopted and raised in the middle of a tough communist regime that shaped her tough skin yet challenged her soul and made her wonder who she really was. In 1996 she came to the US with her son to start a new life. She had different, new obstacles: going back to school, learning a new language, working, and raising her son all at the same time. She is a registered dental hygienist from New Jersey and Romania with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in holistic nutrition from Clayton College of Natural Health. She is recognised by the American Naturopathic Board Association and a certified natural health practitioner (CNHP), and she became a certified health coach at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) in New York City. She worked in the dental field for twenty years, and for the last six, she has been a clinical instructor at the hygiene clinic of Bergen Community College. Her determination helped her to achieve so many highs personally and professionally. Her love for better health and the enigma of longevity pushed her to become who she is today: a holistic person and a successful therapist and hygienist.

P14/47a Why am I Perfect?…

Positive Living Vibrations with Sara Troy and her guest Nathalie Beaupré. Aired on  November 25th/14

What is Perfection? are we asking the right questions in order to find the right answers?

10382827_10152240773503305_6313935888674463674_nNathalie Beaupré is the first (and only) Certified Forensic Healer in Canada. She is passionate about helping others step into their power with the understanding that people create their own reality and that we can rid our bodies, minds and relationships of toxicity. She blogs about whole foods and various inspired learnings. Her vibration-raising tool book Why Am I Perfect? published in late 2012 empowers children of all ages, parents and teachers to recognize their individual perfection.

HAL iconDiscover Tools and Methods that Allow YOU to Be and to Feel Whole

Using afformations helped me reduce and eliminate my fear of not being good enough. I became more comfortable with my place in the world and over time felt more at peace with what was to come. I still remember the first afformation I chose to repeat: “Why am I more than enough?” After a few days of repeating this afformation, a light bulb lit up in my head: afformations are perfect for kids. Less than a week later my book for children, parents, and teachers was written and I was looking for a publisher. Talk about manifesting an outcome!

book cover NathalieMy book explains that a great way to turn an affirmation into an ever more powerful tool is to construct it in the form of a question. This is called an afformation. I actually prefer afformations, because they leave more room for the subconscious mind to build on the positivity of the question posed.

With afformations, the trick is to practice to allow yourself to not answer the question. It’s a method developed by Noah St. John in 1997. He had been using affirmations daily but wasn’t quite reaching his desired effect. I learned about his story and this practice when I was going through a personal challenge.

As I began developing my healing practice, I asked myself, 10339716_10152240772718305_24461421486627326_n“What do I need to learn? What do I want my children to learn?” I realized that I wanted to impart knowledge and practical life skills to my children. I wanted to provide them with tools for understanding life, for feeling fulfilled, for inquiring, tools for creating success in their own lives.

These types of questions are what have led me to create the Perfection Revolution, a movement that opens and unites. They have led me to write a book for children that shows them how to recognize their immediate wholeness. Why Am I Perfect? is a “toolbook” of empowerment for children – I believe that starting this process in early childhood will help build confident, self-actualized adults in the long run.

What does Forensic Healing Mean?

Forensic Healers help answer long standing questions regarding life struggles for those suffering from chronic physical, emotional, spiritual conditions and behavioral and relationship problems.
Forensic means the application of logic and reason. It is an investigation to establish facts and evidence around a certain condition. Healing means to make sound or whole, to restore to health or to original purity or integrity.

There are so many great tools out there that can aid our minds in releasing blocks and assisting us in feeling our very best – truly living our purpose. I coach my Forensic Healing clients with both afformations and affirmations.
