RG23-45. Kristina Coderre, parents shed their Mind BS.

Raising Our Gifted Children with Sara Troy and her guest Kristina Coderre, on air from November 7th

I started this journey with a passion for teaching other parents, teachers, and caregivers the behaviour approach that saved my son. But over the years, things started to shift inside of me and I started to realize that I was not ok; and I realized that the parents that I was serving were not ok either. We were all expected to hold it all together, guide our families through tough situations, and bottle up our own feelings in order to make it through. We searched for and implemented solutions like a freaking hero but inside we were feeling like a total failure. Now I help dedicated parents take care of themselves by providing solutions we can do WHILE we are parenting and maintaining all of our other responsibilities. We became parents to increase the joy in our lives but so often the overwhelm of parenting leaves no room for joy. I help parents bring joy and fulfillment back into their lives so we can enjoy life NOW and model for our kids what living a happy life looks like.

Kristina Coderre is a proud mom of 2 boys (and step-mom to 2 more!) who is passionate about helping parents shed their Mind BS so they can build a lifestyle that includes joy and fulfillment WHILE tending to the chaotic grind of raising a family. As a Nurtured Heart Approach Advanced Trainer, Kristina has worked with hundreds of parents, teachers, and group home staff who are supporting the most challenging children, and she witnessed first-hand the toll this takes on the caregiver. Drawing on her own transformational self-care journey in raising her special needs child, she is dedicated to creating a clear pathway for caregivers to be able to fill their own cups so they can continue their amazing work without burning out, and model for their kids what living your best life looks like.

C23-45. Jackie Heller, MD, Our Inner Saboteur.

Choose Positive Living with Sara Troy and her guest Jackie Heller MD, on air from November 7th

The Big Idea: Deeply hidden fears, hurts, and longings may lead to symptoms and eventually maladaptive behaviors. Such unhealed wounds may become acute or chronic triggers if our defenses against the reservoir of pain are failing. They can be triggered by a person, object, smell, sound, dream, illness, or more. Our buried memories and emotions surface in ways that may sabotage us.

The So-What: Knowing our emotions and the shifts in the here and now is crucial since our feelings are rooted in past events that may have no obvious context today, yet control our attitudes and behaviors in ways we don’t understand. An effective way to confront our inner life, including an inner saboteur, is to get in touch with shifts in our body that can help us label our emotions and interpret and understand our feelings. Mindful self-reflection enables us to become aware of buried events from our past. Such reflection is a two-part process of focused self-exploration that involves going inward and upward — identifying our physical sensations and labeling our emotions, and then thinking about what they mean. It involves introspectating, combining introspective (looking inward) with spectate (looking on as a spectator).

Key Messages: Heller reveals the mental pursuit needed to understand negative behavior patterns, and addresses:

·  Why it’s necessary to improve our connection to our unconscious mind in order to have fulfilling adult relationships

·  How our minds bury events from our past, and why we must pay attention to emotional triggers and physical sensations

·  What healthy and unhealthy attachment styles look like and how we develop them

·  Why we should be concerned about the dangers of disconnection that come with our reliance on social media

·  How to use self-reflection and mindful meditation to better understand uncomfortable thoughts and feelings

IG23-45. Eli Love, and School Of Hard Knocks

Ignite Your Heart and Soul with Sara Troy and her guest Eli Love, on air from November 7th

When I was 5 years old, I noticed the difference between adults and kids. In my child’s mind, adults were always grouchy and preoccupied, and kids were always happy, playful, and present. I made a promise to myself at that age to find out why that was so.
Little did I know that I had created a subconscious script to always notice what made people heal permanently. Not a medicine or mental technique, but what changed people from the heart for the better.
After decades of studying, I finally found out that it is the School Of Hard Knocks that changes people from the heart. There are countless stories of people going through years of hardships or a traumatic event that changed their lives in a profound way. I said to myself that there must be a better way.
At the age of 40 I found it. Children have it. We all had it, and then we got conditioned out of it. It is “Unconditional Expression.” The ability to express yourself positively or negatively until you are COMPLETELY finished and at peace. That is the magic of being a child. Leaving that process is what has created multiple levels of chaos and illness for us. Returning to it immediately creates spontaneous healings on all levels of our lives.
My mission in life is to share that with people and make this information mainstream in the public’s consciousness.

I have been a private music teacher since the age of 13. I taught publicly for
25 years, and have performed musically around the world numerous times,
but my real passion lies in what makes people heal organically. I’ve been a
personal growth facilitator for the last 30 years sharing this work of
Unconditional Expression.

How I turned my scars into beautiful art and current taking my life journey and showing the world how tattoos have become more than just beautiful art now. It’s become a form of therapy. Redefining a scar of pain or abuse gives one empowerment to speak what we want out scar to represent, not giving power to what caused them.

23-45. I am counting the ways to let it BE

Sara’s View of Life with Sara Troy, on air from October 31st

If one approach doesn’t work, try another. Throughout my life, I’ve constantly had to pivot. Regardless of my plans, there always seems to be something that pushes me in a different direction. Had I been rigid and inflexible, I would have crumbled long ago.

It’s not to say that I haven’t resisted change at times or hesitated to take a new path. Sometimes it took me a while to recognize the need for a shift. But in the end, change was inevitable. This doesn’t imply that the idea or project isn’t valuable; it might simply mean that the timing isn’t right, it needs a different approach, or some fine-tuning.

Trust your gut; it often knows the way. But how can we truly hear and comprehend its whispers? By silencing the noise around us and finding tranquility. Delve deep, and tune into the inner wisdom that resides within. I call this the Knowingness, knowing what you need to know when you need to know it. We are always guided, and when we allow that guidance to happen, it will lead us to where we need to be next.

Throughout my life, I’ve faced countless challenges that tested my resolve. With time and experience, I’ve learned to discern what deserves my energy and what needs to be released. Rather than overthinking, I’ve found it more fruitful to trust my feelings and intuition, guiding me whether to persevere or pivot.

We can all do this, be still, be quite, feel in, block out, and just let be what needs to be…BE.
