So many times a guest misses a show because they do not pay attention to the time zone. East, West Middle, what ever it is, please pay attention and be there at the right time.

We are so busy rushing to the next appointment that we do not read all the info needed for the one you are at or going to, stop, slow down, take a moment and be present.

It is the same with postings, take the time to read some of them and comment on what you have read/listened to. It is called respect, and you may just learn something along the way. Life is not about hurry up, it is about a steady step one foot in front of the other and see what is right in front of you, or you may miss out on something profound.

We just cruise on by only Liking, and not commenting because we are in such a hurry, WHY? are you on a Like quoter that you can not stop to read or see something to its end and then comment? Have some respect for those that have taken the time to post it, to share with you, to reach out. I am not talking about pretty pictures where a like or love or laugh is enough, but those where time has been shared and a decent reply is nice to give. So please take the time to read a document, an email, text, posting and get your facts right and respond appropriately.

So when Zooming, calling, or meeting someone, know the details first, call, meet Zoom on time in the right time zone and remember, if you don’t you have cost someone their time and maybe money.

Taking some time to chill and take life in, just breathe and enjoy, stop rushing.

How To Leave Your Comfort Zone – PART I

Our lives are full of opportunities to either take a tiny step or a giant leap outside the comfort zone but grabbing hold of them can be somewhat difficult and challenging.

However, sometimes the problem is not being aware of reasons to do so. After all, if the feeling of comfort feeds our most basic needs, why would / should we seek to abandon it?

What holds people back most of the time is their mindset rather than any distinct lack of knowledge or skills. What I am going to share in this blog looks at the shifts in thinking that are needed to step outside of our comfort zones and into personal growth. Hopefully by the end you will be inspired to leave your comfort zone and seek to become the person you were born to be.

Before you continue, I have a FREE GOAL SETTING GUIDE that you can request via email (details at bottom of blog). When we change our habits, we can change our lives one day at a time. So, how can we describe our comfort zone. I found this definition which I think describes it perfectly.

“The comfort zone is a behavioural state within which a person operates in an anxiety-neutral condition, using a limited set of behaviours to deliver a steady level of performance, usually without a sense of risk.”

Within the comfort zone, there isn’t much incentive for us to reach new heights of performance. It’s here that people go about routines devoid of risk, causing any progress to plateau and any growth stops.

From Comfort Zone to the Growth Zone

When leaving the comfort zone, fear doesn’t always equate to being in the panic zone. Fear can be a necessary step en route to the learning and growth zones so embrace it.

It takes courage to step from the comfort zone into the fear zone. Without a clear roadmap / plan, there’s no way to build on previous experiences. This can lead to mass anxiety and the desire to run back to the comfort zone and give up. Yet if you persevere long enough, and you enter the learning zone, where you gain new skills and deal with the challenges you face resourcefully your anxiety levels will come down.

After a learning period, a new comfort zone is created, expanding your ability to reach even greater heights. This is what it means to be in the growth zone.

It’s important to note that like most behavioural change when you attempt to move into the growth zone it becomes harder without some level of self-awareness. Thus, it can be beneficial for clients to consider the following:

  • How big are your zones?
    Across every life domain, everyone’s zones vary in size. To leave your comfort zone, you must appreciate its outer limits. Similarly, you must develop an intuitive sense of where your panic zone lies. Taking on challenges that lie somewhere in between will stretch you, leading to growth and learning.
  • What are your strengths?
    Understanding your personal strengths can be of great use. Most people have experienced leaving their comfort zone in at least one area of  their life, and there are usually plenty of insights and learning to be uncovered from this experience.

In reality, the process of moving from the comfort zone to our growth zone may not be linear. Peaks, troughs, and plateaus can often complicate the journey. Sometimes, we even need to retreat back to the comfort zone periodically before mustering the strength and courage to leave it again and that’s ok.

While in your comfort zone, it feels safe, and you feel in control.  It’s smooth sailing, right?

The best cruises don’t always have smooth waters.

As a child of abuse and a broken 10-year marriage, my body was ailing badly. 10 years of chronic illnesses and pain which ended up in a breast cancer diagnosis in Jan 2020, I dove headfirst into the world of natural healing. In my childhood, I was exposed to many cases of abuse but the one thing that anchored me in this lifetime was my step-grandparents, Connie and Francis-Curry Johnston, and their innate knowing that the body doesn’t need much to heal and that doctors were not needed. We used the skills of chiropractors and the medicines of the earth to get by. I didn’t have a doctor that I know of and unless a body part was broken or there was a significant amount of blood flowing out of your body that wouldn’t stop there was no need for a doctor, and so looking at natural healing for myself was second nature. During my marriage, however, I was pushed to doctors over and over again as I got sicker and sicker through their poison prescriptions. 

My journey started with a silent retreat in 2016/17 and then a series of repressed memories coming to my awareness. I was then guided to a clairvoyant who guided me to a diet for the pain, Medical Medium.  I got so much better but I was still living with the covert narcissist at that time and the abuses got worse and so my health declined with every fight. Then I found a small river stone hardness and textured lump high up on my right breast. I was led to Dr Robert Morse and his teachings and dove right into learning everything he had to say and started my raw fruit diet to alkaline the body so it could heal. I ended up having to leave the narcissist and in doing so was at death’s door 3 times in the last year trying to survive. January 2021 I was introduced to Urine Therapy and because I was hardly thriving I was ready to try it. After my first cup, my very low blood pressure went from 70/40 to 96/65! I was pleasantly surprised and this started my dance with the unspoken of, Urine Therapy.  -Crystal Amber
