Raising our gifted children with Sara Troy and her guest Patrice Badami, on air from February 22nd
What exactly does it mean to be an advocate for a child with special needs? Our goal, as caregivers, is always to raise children to be happy and successful. But how does a caregiver navigate the overwhelming and sometimes complicated world of laws, resources and programs in their community?
I am a special education teacher and mother of three. I have advocated for families with children who have special needs to ensure that they receive the special education services that they require for them to be appropriately facilitated at their home school district. I created a website to help students as they navigate their way back into the in-person educational settings. The website is entitled Acorntotree.com and it offers free academic and recreational support for children and families.
Special education, academic support, advocating for families with children who have special needs, having a child with Asperger’s syndrome, having a child with central auditory processing issues as well as executive functioning issues, children with attention deficit disorder, dealing with a child who is in the Neonatal Intensive Care and concerns of new parents of premature children. What do I really need to have in preparation for bringing my baby home?
Patrice Badami earned her Masters of Science degree in Childhood and Special Education from Long Island University. In addition, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication/Journalism from St. Bonaventure in New York state. She is currently working towards her certificate in Early Childhood. Patrice is an Elementary and Special education teacher for a New York State school district.

Your Health is your choice with Sara Troy and her guest Dr John Poothullil, on air from January 18th
Dr. John Poothullil Empowers Patients with New Scientific Insights and Complementary Approaches to Prevent Obesity, Reverse Diabetes, and Survive Cancer
John Poothullill practiced medicine as a pediatrician and allergist for more than 30 years, with 27 of those years in the state of Texas. He received his medical degree from the University of Kerala, India in 1968, after which he did two years of medical residency in Washington, DC and Phoenix, AZ, and two years of fellowship, one in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the other in Ontario, Canada. He began his practice in 1974 and retired in 2008. He holds certifications from the American Board of Pediatrics, The American Board of Allergy & Immunology, and the Canadian Board of Pediatrics.
During his medical practice, John became interested in understanding the causes of and interconnections between hunger, satiation, and weight gain. His interest turned into a passion and a multi-decade personal study and research project that led him to read many medical journal articles, medical textbooks, and other scholarly works in biology, biochemistry, physiology, endocrinology, and cellular metabolic functions. This eventually guided Dr. Poothullil to investigate the theory of insulin resistance as it relates to diabetes. Recognizing that this theory was illogical, he spent a few years rethinking the biology behind high blood sugar and finally developed the fatty acid burn switch as the real cause of diabetes. Recently his own cancer diagnosis lead him to research cancer and childhood cancer.
Dr. Poothullil has written articles on hunger and satiation, weight loss, diabetes, and the senses of taste and smell. His articles have been published in medical journals such as Physiology and Behavior, Neuroscience and Biobehavioral Reviews, Journal of Women’s Health, Journal of Applied Research, Nutrition, and Nutritional Neuroscience. His work has been quoted in Woman’s Day, Fitness, Red Book and Woman’s World.
We Discuss: Type 2 Diabetes, grain-free living, what is Coronavirus really.
What is the real cause of type 2 diabetes? What steps do you suggest for reversing high blood sugar? What is the leading cause of obesity and what can be done?
Why do people overeat and what is the optimal diet for someone who is obese and/or suffering from high blood sugar. What is the A.P.E.X. plan you propose for people to use in order to stay healthy during a pandemic like the Covid-19? NEXT SHOW WILL BE ON CANCER AND HEART DESEASE AND BUILDING A GOOD AMMUNE SYSTEM.

Sara’s View of Life with Sara Troy, on air from February 15thArt by Natasha.
Super Heroes, fighting the bad guys, warding off evil, there are so many TV shows movies games, etc, that build the superhero up to solving all our problems. There is a major flaw in this, it is feeding the need for an enemy, someone evil to fight, when the fight is always within us and in what we create around us.
We get excited about creating or supporting an enemy. Why does someone or a particular party get so much attention for instigating discord, hate, fear, ego, and lack, when we have so many good people doing so much for humanity? Is it an avoidance of our own discord, our own inner imbalance? and that it is easy to fight externally than internally.
Is it not sexy enough to have a more peaceful solutional view on life? do we love living in constant turmoil? Do we think we are thriving on all this imbalance? Where is the gain? all it does is cause a physical, mental, and spiritual dis-ease that leads to illness and a lack of everything in our lives.
THERE IS A BIG INTEREST IN KEEPING CERTAIN PEOPLE DOWN, EDUCATIONALLY, FINANCIALLY, SPIRITUALLY, AND ACCORDING TO RACE. THE ENEMIES IN POWER DO NOT WANT PEOPLE TO RISE UP BECAUSE THEY WILL LOSE CONTROL. FEAR SELLS, DIVISION SELLS FEAR, AND IF WE WANT TO COMBAT THAT, WE NEED TO BE RISE UP TO A HIGHER FREQUENCY OF LOVE, PURPOSE, AND ENLIGHTENMENT AND BECOME THE UNITED HERO’S THAT SAY NO MORE. FOR THAT YOU HAVE TO SET YOURSELF FREE FROM THE INSIDE OUT.
I interview people who have chosen to walk away from the world of turbulence and for their sanity, health and abundance, have chosen to live a more enriching life that not only gives them more purpose and fulfillment but also serves the whole of society in a far greater manner.
If we need a hero so much, why do we not see the true heroes all around us and that lie deep within us? There are so many who have fought the inner battle, the outer infliction of pain and anguish, but because they went through it in courage, strength, and a willingness to be free, they are now able to live in wonderful possibilities and some awesome abilities; they thrive today and shine bright and shows us how to do the same.
So seed the seeds of love, water nurture and shine loving warmth on those seeds, and become the fruit of love and light in our own life and in the lives of others. We have enough enemies, there is enough hate in the world, and to much division, it is time to see the hero’s of light and love and appreciate them for being that hope, that encouragement, being that teacher and shining so bright in inspiration, for these are the true hero’s and there is a hero within you, just waiting for you to ignite.
