0064 Feeding those who need our Support.

Bringing awareness to the URGENCY to feed those who need our support and the food banks that serve them with guest Pat Binette, aired 11-12-2013

letsfeedthehungry-600x251

There are too many hungry people in this world and it is shameful that in this day and age it is so. With an imbalance of abundance, banks, governments and corporations all leaving society poor due to their actions, we have more and more people needing the help of food banks.

FOOD BANKS CANADA - Hunger Lives Next DoorNever assume that a person who is hungry is a looser or a lay-about, for today we have so many people in need who have lost their homes, jobs, health, that they need the support of their community to just eat.

Today we discuss the need for food support from one of our Angels Pat Binette at Pitt Meadows “Friends in need food bank”, that has for the last 13 years been feeding the people who have fallen on hard times. I know because I have been one, and without that bridge, I would have been dreadfully hungry.

Pat was asked to start this journey 13 years ago through her councilman and church. At that time she supplied 25 hampers a month to those in need, now 13 years later it is 175 hampers a month plus weekly food and this is a small community and that still is not enough. With over 200 hundred children to feed, seniors, people on disability and those who have lost their jobs and let us not forget the pets in need too, it is imperative that we lend a helping hand. Small or big, food left at your local store, buying a share coupon in support or directly donating to your local food bank, you can make a difference between someone eating or starving.

People think governments support these food banks, but in actual fact, it is Angels like Pat and her team of volunteers that make it happen, without them, many people would not have any food to eat.

Never assume or judge for you never know when you may need this kind of help, and never assume that it is not all walks of life that at some stage in their lives may need help to stand on their own 2 feet again. They have walked in many of the people shoes and know what it is like to know hunger and to feel alone.

NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE, FIND A FOOD BANK AND GIVE IT YOUR SUPPORT, FEED A SOUL SO THAT SOUL MAY FIND THEIR PLACE IN THE WORLD AGAIN. REMEMBER PEOPLE NEED TO EAT DAILY NOT JUST ONCE A YEAR, SO GIVE YOUR SUPPORT ON A REGULAR BASIS NOT JUST ONCE A YEAR WE CAN PUT A STOP TO STARVATION.

Michael Fan ClubWanderer….Philosopher….Fun Doctor…..This tradesman of sound was born to bring people together, to make light of a troubled day, and to administer a steady I.V. of positivity to the world. Since 2002, the Kelowna native’s rapid growth as a singer/songwriter transpired out of love and encouragement from his unbelievable family, friends, and open hearted strangers. He emerged in Vancouver, BC as an intriguing World Folk Fusion artist in 2004, and his magnetic melodies and warm demeanor have been dissolving woes and changing perspectives ever since.

Michael’s musical aim is to provide a space for people to feel apart of something, and to be excited about living the lives that inspire them.

Growing up in a world competitive athletics and a career in exercise physiology, Michael’s performance record often took shape along the sidelines of teammates races, in echoed training stairwells, or yoga studios when not on stage. It is from these motivating environments that he cultivated his uplifting character, and many can attest to the joy and insight his music has brought to them.

2011-2013 have been packed with three album releases that he self-produced:

What’s Life All About? (March 2012) Musical puzzle album

New Day, New Path, New Legend (January 2013) 5 song score for a documentary made from an expedition in Nepal Michael participated in (Beyond The Gates of Phu)

Michael has also toured nationally and internationally, including performances in France, Germany, Nepal, China, and around most corners of Canada. His current album “I’d Rather Walk,” is a tribute to his late singer/songwriter father, Garry Averill, and he is sharing both his and his father’s songs as he tours the country by foot. His goal with this endeavor is to build community through encouraging healthy lifestyles physically through walking, and mentally through open conversation about life, death, family, and communication. Where ever Michael roams, he fosters positive bonds and catalyzes growth among his eclectic/all age audiences.

  • If I am willing to comprehend a little I open up to knowing a lot.
  • If I stay in the willing to love life mode I will draw to me love in all areas of my life.
  • My life is a projection of my inner self, peace with in is truth but inner turmoil is outer chaos.
  • Seek to live in inner harmony at all times so one can project and invite harmonious interaction without.
  • Do not feed the past but only fuel the future.
  • Your value of life today is in how you respond to your every day, look to enjoy it instead of bitching about it.
  • No matter the pain inside, embrace your self in order to embrace life, with that the pain will melt away because you can’t have pain where there is so much love.
  • If we could only remember that love that was so strong and that took you to such heights we would not fall or despair ever again, because to have known such deep love is to know Gods embrace and never feel alone ever again.
  • Don’t feed the pain fuel the love.
  • When you can see it in your minds eye, feel it in your heart believe it with your soul, you then you can make it happen.
  • But it is essential that you surround your self with like minded people for the energy needed to take flight, believe whole heartedly in order to make it happen live in no doubt.
