She has an impressive 30 years career in the field of human service, she supervised and work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, geriatric population and mentally ill adults in a residential setting. Ms.Bowen received her masters in Human Service from Lincoln University. She is the primary caregiver for her son who is developmental disabled. She also Volunteers as a Chair leader for foster treatment home parents.

How I got into podcasting, what was the catalyst of this change. How I decided to start my journey and why I want to inspire and work with others too as well.

I found that in my life there was something missing. No matter what job I took I never found fulfilment and happiness. I needed something else, it needed something more. So, in 2018 I decided to clean up my resume on LinkedIn and I found that LinkedIn had become more than just a place to store your resume. I began to write and connect with people and over time I began to branch out and find those things that made me happy and that allowed me to find that fulfilment. Since then I have authored 9 books and recorded nearly 250 podcast episodes with over 40 interviews with people from all over the world and from many walks of life.

David Calvert had been in the information technology field for many years. His father instilled a love of reading and science fiction. Ever since he has loved the stories brought to life in this genre. Deciding that he wanted to go beyond his comfort zone and try new things he decided to start writing. After a few months of blogging and writing articles, he had a dream and decided to turn it into a book. Finding enjoyment in writing he also went out to try other forms of media to reach people and he started podcasting as well and the show Car Thoughts with David was born. Since then he has run a daily podcast reaching people all over the globe and sharing stories of people at many stages of their journey.
