Reviews for the book

A wonderful and inspirational book for people coping with epilepsy or any degree of the hardships experienced in life. As per the following quotation by the author, “Being positive and seeing a future filled with dreams is possible. Never give up and never stop dreaming.”

Peter.G

As a daughter of a parent with epilepsy, I can firmly state that Mr. Churchill delivers a poignant, honest telling of the life of those with this condition.

Maggie.A

Read the book from cover to cover……I enjoyed it very much….It is told in an honest and simple way that has happened in his eventful life.

I am an ALSO an author that writes poetry along with a non fiction book of my life with epilepsy plus fiction work too.

The passion for writing started at school, when I was a member of the soccer team and I would write a report in class for myself on the games that I played in. Years later I started writing poetry on many different subjects of life adventures and having a good imagination helps too.

One of the goals that I like to achieve when I write my books is that they will help that person who reads my books in any shape or form. Whether it’s giving them the inspiration to achieve things, motivation to move forward in life or relax and enjoy what they are reading. There is always a purpose for someone who writes books.

In 2016, I wrote and published a book of my life with epilepsy and the struggles that I have endured so far as most of my life, I have suffered from epilepsy that has improved during my life. What a journey it has been so far.

Have written individual and also jointly done poetry books with Telsie. Telsie also has done most of the covers to my books too.

As time went by, my talent grew to include fictional story books of a love & betrayal novel being ‘Why’ that was released on the 19th November 2016, that I wrote with my wife Telsie.

In my recent past, I was a member of a Spiritual Church in the UK, being a chairperson and helping out, while still living in the UK that led to writing ‘Spiritual Guiding From Those Above Us’. This book has been very popular.

Hobbies include soccer amongst other sports, music from the seventies and eighties, also the country music of old and enjoy singing at jam sessions, writing and socializing with people.

Recently moved to Canada in 2016 to live with my now wife Telsie. Out in the great lakes of Nova Scotia and quietness that also helps bring fresh new ideas, when sitting outside looking out to the lake in the spring, summer or fall. A bit different from living in a big town which I did in my life up to moving to Canada.

More books are being written as you read this and I am being kept busy. and can also be found on my author page on Amazon.

YH18-28 Deb’s Prescribed Drug and Opioid Addiction Story

“Your Health is Your Choice” with Sara Troy and her guest Deb Morgan, on air from July 3rd

My Opioid abuse started after I had a surgery that kept me on Pain pills for over a month. I had no idea that was going to be an issue nor had I abused them at the time.
This is part of my story and the relevance of what is happening today with the drug and Opioid crisis we are facing in the US and Other Countries.
After the Doctor took me off of them I realized I felt shaky and irritable and then somewhere In my mind I decided I needed more for whatever reason so I ended up going in with a complaint and had the doctor give me another surgery not as severe but it put me back on opioids. Again I thought I need these for this or that not realizing that my brain was telling my body what it wanted. so a little time went by I started Doctor Shopping and getting some prescriptions that way and then It downhill quickly. I started stealing the doctors prescription pads this was in 1990. I started writing and passing my own prescriptions and got to the point where I lead a double life one was being a middle class working mom with 2 children and a good job to also being a functioning addict so I thought.
I began needing more and more and I ended up taking 100 Percocet per week and my life was doing all the regular everyday things while making sure I always had over 100 Percocet to get me by and to get the money to hide this from my husband I would not eat lunch and steal clothing or whatever and take it back to the store for a return that very day. I finally must have wanted to get caught because I passed a prescription and as the story goes much longer than this I ended up facing an officer who helped me and people that I can not possibly thank including myself., but the arrest needs to be talked about and how this happened and how very angry I was and how my life changed so much as I started to find out why and finally get help before I hit bottom which for me would have been death.

LM18-22 New Lungs gives Singer Bobby Bacchus a New Life

“for the LOVE of Music” with Sara Troy and her guest Darcy Murdoch AKA Bobby Bacchus, on air from May 29th.

Bobby Bacchus, the suave crooner with the silky voice is on the scene! His nod to Frank Sinatra, Tony, Bennett, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Bobby Darin, Elvis and others from the Rat Pack era will take you on a wonderful and nostalgic trip down memory lane and leave you wanting more.
Bobby has not one, but two CD’s under his belt: “Ten Christmas Favourites” will instantly put you in the mood for the holiday season and “Thank You, Mr. Sinatra”, his most recent, is a stunning tribute to Frank Sinatra. What’s not to love?
Darcy aka Bobby faced a life-death situation on June 1st, 2011, Darcy says “I was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. (IPF)  This is a disease that affects the air sacs in your lungs called alveoli.  Essentially, they shrivel up and die off.  They cannot be rejuvenated or repaired and there is no cure.  You end up suffocating to death over time.  I was on oxygen for 2.5 years before I had a successful double lung transplant on January 30th, 2015.  Thanks to the generosity of a donor and their family I am able to lead a normal life.”
“I now make my living as a singer.  Before my TP I was able to sing but could not hang on to the long notes.  It was difficult to sing because of many coughing fits I had during the day.  But, I still carried on to the best of my ability.
I am also a Lung Ambassador for the BC Lung Association where I interview people living with Asthma. COPD, IPF and other chronic lung diseases.  They share their journey on the Lung Assn’s online newsletter.”
