QS22-19. Lauren Walker’s Energy to Heal

Quantum Spirituality with Sara Troy and her guest Lauren Walker, on air from May 10th

Lauren has been named one of the top 100 most influential yoga teachers in America.
Her new book outlines Walker’s system to help anyone who feels overwhelmed or anxious, as well as those struggling to recover from an intensely traumatic experience.

In Lauren Walker’s THE ENERGY TO HEAL: Find Lasting Freedom from Stress and Trauma Through Energy Medicine Yoga (Llewellyn; May 2022), Walker offers a crash course in her unique combination of energy work and yoga: Energy Medicine Yoga (EMYoga). Grounded in science and ancient healing practices, EMYoga provides tools to help us in the face of anxiety. Walker provides simple, step-by-step practices and gentle tools anyone can use to make EMYoga work for them. Whether in the midst of a crisis, on the brink of a meltdown, or just grappling with the stress of day-to-day life, EMYoga can help anyone alleviate stress and reclaim the joy in life.

In down-to-earth language, THE ENERGY TO HEAL explains what energy and Energy Medicine Yoga are, and why EMYoga is so effective. This approach to restoring emotional balance draws on two powers everyone has: energy and the mind. With knowledge and compassion, Walker discusses why energy is not only the best medicine but also essential for healing from stress and trauma.

Along with basic yoga poses and simple practices like deep breathing, THE ENERGY TO HEAL teaches how to use a unique tool: the 5E Star. Based on Chinese medicine’s Five Element Theory, the 5E Star sheds light on the five main difficult emotional responses we have for any event—fear, anger, anxiety, worry, and grief—and acts like a compass for calming whichever powerful emotion we’re feeling.
As Walker emphasizes, “life isn’t a one-and-done thing,” and likewise EMYoga is not a “one-and-done practice.” EMYoga is replicable and accessible, regardless of age or physical abilities, and even for yoga first-timers. Through her guide, these practices can readily become incorporated into daily life.

22-19 Poison or Empathy?

Sara’s View of Life, with Sara Troy, on air from May 10th

I have just finished doing a show on Stalin, Lennen, and Putin and their love of poisons and killing people who offend them. It is very scary to know that there are still people in the world that will kill so easily and also take such pleasure out of it.

People who take such pleasure in killing others because of their existence or who challenge their authority because they feel threatened are people who are empty inside. They have no soul, or heart consciousness and therefore can not take responsibility for their actions and they do not care. When they take such pleasure in killing and the pain and suffering of others, there is a sickness inside of them that is more than just emptiness.

All these dictators are lost souls, little boys trapped in an injured empty vessel and they need power, lots of it to feel important. But, no amount of power will ever feed them enough, for they are forever empty of kindness, caringness, and love. It would be sad, but for the souls that have been tortured by their hands.

Now with Bio-Weapons being threatened of which they are prepared for and we are not, who knows what will happen if we do not stop this man Putin.

We all face pain in our lives, we all have challenges to overcome, that is where we find our strength, courage, skills, and abilities in life, through the process of healing, growing, and discovering how awesome we can be when we feed the right will.

The Devil is within every one of us, if we do not feed him, he has no voice, but when we feed and invite him in, he can take over very fast, leading one down the rabbit hole of hate despair, violence, and death. The only way to beat the devil is to face him, stand tall as a whole, in unison and in force of self-love, inner strength, and higher vibrations of love, for that will shatter him, them, into pieces.

They will never embrace love or consciousness, for there is too much loathing inside of them for themselves. While they blame everyone on the outside, their inside knows it is their choice and they must own it, and that scares them the most. The bully must face a stronger force, a force of unity, empowerment of the community, and in the power of love, but know this, imprisonment won’t kill them, but to take their power of control away from them, is death in itself.

So while we see all the hate pain and suffering we have inflicted upon each other over the centuries, let us look to the power of empowerment, of the higher energy of love, kindness, caring, and compassion, for these, are the weapons that will win, hate only destroys, love creates.

Each and every one of us faces the devil in some way, will you let him win, or rise up to a vibration he can’t reach? it is up to every one of us. Choose wisely.

LM22-19 Jon Landers Big Apple Indie Music

“for the LOVE of Music” with Sara Troy and her guest Jon Landers, on air from May 10th

Music kept me from checking out from life back in 1999 after going through a divorce from a 29-year marriage. In the three years following my divorce, my mom was diagnosed with colon cancer, my dad tried to commit suicide as a result of my mom’s health and my brother was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. If I hadn’t walked into Circuit City and seen a keyboard and hit the demo key that played the theme to the James Bond movies, I would not be here today to talk about it. I simply purchased the keyboard, labeled the keys, and used the built-in loops to create my own music and lyrics.

I started as a stock transfer agent for what was then called The First National Bank of Boston back in 1969. I then went to work for my dad in his import-export business which led me to become the National Sales Manager for a British company and went on to help a German horticultural company to get established in the North American market. I then became a manufacturer’s rep for the lawn & garden and hardware industry being one of the first agencies to sell and service The Home Depots and big box home centers covering a territory from Maine to Virginia. I burned out in 1999 when I went through my divorce and switched to becoming a self-taught graphic designer purchasing a graphic design company, in 2001 that led me to move into the music industry in 2012 and started The Big Apple Indie Music Series aka TBAIMS to support independent music artists by providing a venue(s) for them to perform live in front of music, entertainment, TV and film industry executives including A&Rs. I studied networking prior to starting TBAIMS where I was attending an average of 4 networking events a week in the NY, CT, NJ markets.  I also researched social media and found myself on most of the social media websites early on. I am in the top 11% of LinkedIn users and if you Google my name, I’m usually on page one with my profiles showing.

BB22-18 Derek Bullen. WEALTH BUILDS CIVILIZATIONS

Building your business with Sara Troy and her guest Derek Bullen, on air from May 2rd

Are the rich bad for society? The author of this book, a successful Canadian entrepreneur who made his fortune and created 3000 jobs, has written a manifesto celebrating the achievements of people who have earned their wealth. He says that many of the critics are overlooking one crucial thing: we need business people to build companies and generate wealth to keep the economy going. That’s the only way to generate the wealth that pays for government services like health and education.

Hard to Feel Empathy for the Rich? Here’s Why.

The Poor Will Always Be With Us…By Derek Bullen
If you don’t know us, you won’t understand us. Few people have a frame of reference for the tremendous amount of work entrepreneurs and wealth creators do. The long hours, dedication, and need to succeed must be similar in many ways to an athlete working hard to turn their talent into a career. There are multiple misconceptions about the rich. The first thing most people don’t know is that you cannot become rich without paying most of the money you make to everyone else first. Take Amazon as an example. In 2020, the value of Amazon increased by $570 billion on paper. Jeff Bezos owns about 10 percent, so his net worth, from the company he created and founded, increased by $57 billion. At the same time the remainder, $513 billion (just over half a trillion dollars!) was created for everyone who is a shareholder in Amazon. There are individual shareholders but 60.7 percent of Amazon is owned by institutions like banks, pension funds, labor unions, and governments.  Companies and other institutional investors own Amazon. When you get a loan for a car, a pension as a teacher, or home insurance after a fire, there’s a little bit of Amazon wealth making each transaction possible.

Another myth is that the rich don’t pay their fair share of taxes. The rich actually pay most of the taxes in society. In the USA, about $1.6 trillion is brought in each year through the taxation of the population. The top 1% of earners pay 40% of the $1.6 trillion, more taxes than the first 90 percent! That’s right, 90% of the population of the USA is getting a free ride on their taxes courtesy of the 1%! In fact, in a typical year, 44% of the population pays no federal income tax, however in 2021 57% of American earners did not pay federal income tax. If the 1% were incentivized to leave, the USA would lose funding for 40% of the roads, schools, military, infrastructure, and other government services we all enjoy.

Hard to believe for some, but CEOs are fairly paid for the work they do. In 2020, CEOs in the top 350 firms in the U.S. were paid on average $24.2 million, including all options. In the same year they created billions in wealth for society. Although $24.2M sounds like a hefty payday, it is paltry compared to the $230 million on average earned by top musicians, and $280 million on average earned by top athletes.  Being a CEO is like being the chef and host of a large dinner party. You invest the money in groceries, hire workers to cook and prepare a wonderful meal for everyone. Then, once everyone is fed and paid, consuming most of what you made, you get a plate for yourself. Mainstream media then comes and criticizes you for making and eating a meal while ignoring the thousands you fed first.

French economist Thomas Picketty wrote an epic essay citing the wealth inequality gap as the main cause of poverty. Mainstream media was instantly fascinated by the idea. The accusation sells papers! In the last decade, articles on poverty in the USA have only increased by 26%, despite it being a major issue. In the same timeframe, articles about wealth inequality increased 533%. These articles are misinformed. The rich don’t take money from the poor. Wealthy people generate wealth and opportunities for others. Poverty is a key societal issue in its own right. There will always be those among us who are poor, some can’t work, and others won’t work. Jesus tells us in the Bible that there will always be the poor among us. However, when the rich get richer, fewer of our neighbors are poor. The business of creating wealth lifts over 50 million people a year out of extreme poverty.

The world only had 15 billionaires in 1980 and the percentage of the global population living below the poverty line was sadly at 45 percent.  Today with nearly 3,000 billionaires globally, global poverty has been reduced to 22 percent and the trend continues downward. More prosperity leads to a longer life too. In the same timeframe poverty dropped in half, average lifespan went up from 61 to 73 years. Child mortality was cut in half too. Whether you are poor or rich or somewhere in between, If you can work, you should work. It provides a sense of purpose and develops financial independence.  A job matters. It is what we talk about first when we meet someone new. We apply our potential to the work in front of us, and in exchange, we get paid. For many of us, our work is a meaningful exchange of energy. We spend the majority of our day working. It’s important to work because wealth is an equal opportunity game. In 1984, fewer than half the people on the Forbes 400 list of richest people were self-made. Most of them had inherited their wealth. Today, two-thirds of the billionaires made their money from scratch in their lifetime. With technology, information, and global connectivity, wealth is a possibility open to anyone who has the talent and wants to work insanely hard for a prolonged period of time.
