C22-10 Ros McMaster is Living a full life.

Choose Positive Living with Sara Troy and her guest Ros McMaster, on air from March 8th

There are two things we can know with certainty. First, we were born. Second, we will die.
Life changes fast. Life can change in an instant.
In 2008, I attended a Buddhist course on Death & Dying while volunteering at their Hospice service.
“At the time of your passing,” Chodron said, “it’s important to be at peace spiritually.
Whatever you believe, believe in it fully. There’s a great deal of peace and comfort at the end of life if you firmly believe that something greater, more powerful, and more beautiful is waiting for you.” BUT; Life is for fully living in the now with soul enrichment and gratitude abundance, you will eventually pass over with peace in your heart and soul.

“At the time of your passing” Chodron added, “it’s important to be at peace emotionally.
Despite walking a spiritual path for many decades, the workshop was causing me to question the strength of my faith; and more importantly, the emotional health of the relationships around me – non more so than the relationship I had with myself. Much later, I understood that moving deeper into exploring those two principles helped me set a path that sustained me when death, grief, and loss knocked at my door. Not once, not twice, but five times.
Life, I came to realise, is fragile and unpredictable. My search for emotional peace began with a simple act of gratitude, and lead me down the path of self-worth, forgiveness, and the shedding of years of fear that kept me from living my most authentic empowered self.

Getting Psyched

In 1997, I obtained a Psychology Degree, opened a counselling practice specialising in regression therapy and sand play, and began using my gifts as a psychic medium in conjunction with mainstream therapy processes.

After years of study in both mainstream and alternate therapies, I have now opened myself up to working in a deeper way with spirit to bring emotional healing that is transformative and lasting.

Spirit knocked a little louder

Two years after my 30yr marriage came to an end, I was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer. I’m now a proud cancer survivor. One year later, in 2017, I nursed my ex-husband until he passed away, 5 weeks after his own cancer diagnosis.

The deep levels of inner healing which I underwent during my most challenging times, led me to my authentic self. Towards freedom from fear, and an unconditionally loving heart.

RG22-10 Dewatti Basdeo, Crystal & Leo, “The Great Barrier Reef’

Raising our gifted children with Sara Troy and her guest Dewatti Basdeo, on air from March 8th

‘Magnificent Me Magnificent You The Great Barrier Reef’ children’s story and yoga activities book. This is the second book in the natural wonders of the World Series I am currently writing. In this book twins, Crystal and Leo and their clever dog Einstein embark on an adventure of discovery of the Great Barrier Reef, its beauty, and its teachings. Alongside the story are a range of wellbeing activities children can utilise to support both their physical and mental wellbeing. As well as the above, the book will be fundraising for different organizations working on the conservation of reefs and world oceans.

The Great Barrier Reef is the world’s largest coral reef system. Coral reefs are home to thousands of species and play a critical role in maintaining healthy oceans and subsequently a healthy planet.

We are each steward of our planet, home to our future generations, in this understanding, we endeavour to contribute towards maintaining a healthy planet the best we can.

IG22-09 Richard V. Battle, What Money Can’t Buy.

Ignite your heart and soul with Sara Troy and her guest Richard V. Battle, on air from March 1st.
~Award-winning author and motivational speaker, Richard v. Battle

While we all need money to survive, no amount of money can buy peace, happiness, joy, love, or friendship. Yet, humans continue to pursue riches believing it will solve their problems. A recent article in The Philadelphia Inquirer details treasure hunters suing the federal government for documents related to a lost civil war gold shipment. The military lost the gold in 1863, and hunters have pursued it since. Finders Keepers, a group, led by the Parada family, have spent decades searching for the treasure and are plaintiffs in the lawsuit.

“We must prioritize faith, family, and relationships over the acquisition of money. It is effortless for men to fall into the trap of prioritizing providing financially for their families and missing the essential things in life. It is essential to live balancing our spiritual, family, physical, mental, financial, and social areas of life,” believes Battle, whose faith in God helped him survive heart procedures, divorce, cancer, surviving an apartment fire that killed his neighbor, rebounding from financial devastation, and the crushing blow of his only son’s passing.

“I don’t find anything wrong with hunting treasure or pursuing wealth. We can secure our financial freedom and improve our lifestyles. Still, we can never measure wealth using money,” says the award-winning author of eight books Richard V. Battle including the latest one, Life’s Daily Treasure: 366 Doses of Hope, Optimism, Personal growth, and Encouragement“Like so many other things, obsessive and extreme efforts can skew our view of life and deprive us of enjoying those things money can’t buy.”

Richard’s book provides daily doses of inspiration, motivation, and American celebration to lift people’s spirits. The one subject absent from each day, and the book is MONEY because money won’t buy you happiness; instead, it will buy a better brand of misery.

YH22-09 Michael Betrus, The Science Vs. The Lockdowns.

Your health is your choice with Sara Troy and her guest Michael Betrus, on air from March 1st

His book features meticulously studied facts, statistical analysis, and science. The book does not propose anti-vaccination or dismissal of safety precautions. Still, it raises crucial and science-backed questions about government-implemented lockdown mandates and whether those imposed restrictions are effective, but what the negative ramifications are using well-regarded research and statistics from leading scientists and experts. Will other states follow suit and reconsider mask mandates, or will this step set the stage for a heated debate?

22-09 LIVE NOW DIE LATER…I Did

Sara’s View of Life with Sara Troy, on air from March 1st

This is an article I wrote 21 years ago, did I live up to my expectations come and hear where I am now?
Getting a new perspective on life at 46
I asked myself this question and had to face the answer…
Did I like the answer? No

scan0001-300x222

I have recently come to a crossroads in my life. The direction that I have taken is very different from what I expected. I am a middle-aged woman with dreams gone by, or so I thought.
Way back, when I was a wacky young creature with a free-spirited and passionate about life I was always full of fun, seeking adventures. Perhaps I was a victim of too many expectations. I was always asked, ‘when will you settle down girl’ or’ when will you get a real job?’

Sometimes we live life by those expectations, and don’t trust our own instincts to just be. . . Your parents lived a life that way, so why not you? But were they happy? People expect us to be something they believe to be normal. Their expectations came from their parents and so on, and society dictates the same.

‘Why can’t we all get along?’ We have heard or said this so many times before, but do we answer it? Most of the time we are too scared to. We are afraid that we may not like the answer or that we might have to do something about it. I asked myself this question recently and had to face the answer head-on. Did I like the answer? No. But I faced it and I have answered it back, and I am so glad I did.

I had to come to the realisation that I lived for and through other people’s lives. I think I am a very caring person with a lot of understanding of others’ feelings. I embrace others’ pain and try to make it better. I empathize with them, but sometimes I am incapable of feeling for myself.
Is it that I am afraid? Or that I don’t trust anyone to let them in? Yes to both. I have learned that if you tell some people your true feelings, they will hurt you with it.
On my journey to a better life, I have come across a program called ‘True Colours’. These are your personality colours represented by four different colours. Gold, blue, orange, and green. These colours each represent personality traits, and in understanding these colours I have opened my awareness to others and myself.

We are not all made the same, nor do we feel, think, or do the same. This is why we clash with life because we expect other people to be as we are. Shock time guys. Our differences are what make us unique. This is what attracts others to us.

We know that trying to be the same just does not work, and those true personalities will always stand out no matter what. So why can’t we accept that and embrace our differences, instead of fearing them? This subject has completely opened my eyes to myself, and where I had been going wrong. I felt that I had to apologise to everyone for myself. I thought that I was being judged, whereas I was the judge and jury. I was living for others’ expectations, not my own.

Now is very different. I am inspired and can feel my wings flapping and raring to go. I am starting a new business, a new life, and I have new expectations. My own. I have never felt so confident or courageous before. I have traveled to twenty-two countries and lived in four of them, finding time to have three children on the way. Now is the time that I really am beginning to feel life, trust in what it has to give, and embrace its wonders without fear.

Turning 46 is no time to start settling down. I have had my 3 wonderful children and I am very proud of who they are and my part in it. Now is the time for me. Time to be just a little bit wacky again. To trust in me, and not to be overly critical of myself or others. We are at a place in time for a reason. Trusting in a higher power and letting your life just ‘be’ is hard for some. But I do believe our actions and reactions are our choices. We can accept responsibility for our actions and focus on optimism, it is all up to us and our attitude.

I will be a success. I say it with pride, not vanity because I am working towards it. I am believing in myself and others and in life. I have not launched my business yet, but I already have customers in the wings waiting.

We only live but once and life events really do go in cycles. So never curl up and say that it’s all over, do something to bring on the next cycle. Be proactive. We are privileged to be alive. Ask not ‘Why me, ’ go ahead and explore life. The key is to believe in something, and yourself.
I am not over the hill. ‘I am woman, hear me roar.’
My life experiences are my skills. My pains are my journey to understanding. My fear is my empowerment; my courage is my ammunition. I will not only survive, but I will truly live.

We must place value on ourselves and what we can contribute to life, not on sex or numbers. If you choose to be old before your time, maybe that is your comfort zone. But ask yourself one question. ‘Would you prefer a different life?’ If you answer “yes” then do something, however, small, to change it. Life is forever changing, don’t get left behind.
I wish you love courage and strength for your journey.

Sara Towe/aka Troy

written 2001.

NOW 21 years later I look back and see how much my life has changed. My children are grown beautiful souls, I am a Grandma, single, and have been proudly podcasting for 10 years now. Take your journey, look back to see how far you have come, and keep growing, for you are not dead yet.
