Our voices speaks volumes about our soul intent, using them the right way will inspire and invite, let your voice be a seed of thought in another’s garden.

Superstar singing and voice coach Angela Durrant is changing and challenging the way we nurture talent, and train voices. As a sought after voice and performance expert Angela wants to help singers and musicians and public speakers create their own path to fulfilling their singing and speaking dreams.

“When Singing is right, it’s easy” says Angela and by telling the truth, she inspires her clients to do the work needed to be the best they can be. Angela’s work includes: fixing vocal problems, developing the artist as performer and creating a unique career path.

I am positive proof that no matter how many vocal problems you have or for how long you can find and develop your true voice and potential as an artist. The truth about what is and isn’t working can hurt, but not when it’s delivered by someone who cares enough not to be a ‘yes man’ or delude you. It may be your path, but you certainly don’t have to walk it alone. In fact you can’t if you are really want to make a success of your music.”

Angela has worked for many years as one of Wales’ top vocal and performance coaches and has been described as the secret weapon behind many Welsh artists. She has worked with wide range of clients and vocal styles both in her private practice and at the University of South Wales.

She has spent the last few years developing a system called VISIBLE to help her non-singing clients to present and speak with confidence, presence and power.

She is regular contributor to the BBC on accents and speaking and is sought out by coaches, managers and leaders looking for an alternative to traditional approaches to presentation and public speaking training.

As the Founder and Creator of the  V.I.S.I.B.L.E blueprint for speaking success, Angela reveals how you can have vocal confidence, irresistible energy, Stage savvy, a take anywhere talk and learn what an audience is looking for.

By finding your own unique vocal style you can have confidence and influence.

If you are looking for the next up level in your business environment then this is the perfect way to train for that. Prepare and position yourself to step up and take hold of that promotion or phase in your life. Finding your vocal confidence, your truthful message and a system for getting that message across is what will get you noticed.

Angela’s own music career is diverse. As a singing coach she is fast becoming one of the top instructors in her profession. Her own vocal skills mean she is as comfortable singing opera as she is singing theatre and contemporary styles. “You can’t teach what you can’t do so I made sure I learnt. I studied just about every vocal method out there and being a performer myself means I know the road ahead they face” Angela says.“When I started my own career there was no help at all, just an unspoken belief that you would be discovered if you were with the right teacher or at the right college, which is flat bull****!”

Angela’s own story is compelling. Born into a rich musical heritage, granddaughter of George Formby Senior, and niece to the film star George Formby junior, Angela literally grew up on the side of stages watching her father perform George Formby’s greatest hits in his own comedy act. Her own ability to capture an audience was noticed at a young age when at 13 she recorded a musical and toured with it singing to thousands -“Greater than Gold” by the composer Roger Jones, the story of the girl Mary Jones who walked 26 miles across the Welsh hills to get a Bible. Little did she know that 20 yrs later she would find herself in Wales working as a sound engineer before studying at the Royal Welsh college of Music and Drama. Although her talents as a young classical singer were evident, Angela boldly left home aged 20 to ‘find herself’. “It took another 10 years to find myself” she laughs.“I know what it means to be a struggling artist, trying to get one break after another.”  Frustrated by the teaching methods of many she decided to study vocal technique at a deep level and found her new calling as a teacher and mentor.

TSM16/08 Teachings from God: with Courtney Amundson

Their Story Matters with Sara Troy and her guest Courtney Amundson airs February 23

She May Only be a Teenager, but the Wisdom She is Bringing Forth is for the Ages

Ca4wT4hUkAAplx8Where most teenagers are worrying about wearing the right lip color, or following the right YouTube star, Courtney Amundson is only worried about whether the messages she is astonishingly being delivered from the Divine are reaching enough people. Because Courtney was a mere 16 when she began following in the footsteps of Esther Hicks, Jane Roberts, Edgar Cayce and JZ Knight as an extraordinary powerful channeller.

Now, a ripened 20 and wise beyond her years, she is introducing to the world Teachings from God, Greeting Your Soul and Revealing the Divine Within, a book of loving channelled wisdom brought forth to light mankind’s path in challenging times.

Courtney’s spiritual life began to awaken at the age of 12! Beginning to practice the ancient art of Qigong, she became aware that something was happening. She says “I started to experience more of myself. The meditations were so beautiful I found that’s all I wanted to do. I learned to move my own energy so that the channels in my body could remain open and flowing in a healthy way. I experienced my third eye opening.”

Her desire to know more welled within her and she committed to exploring this new path. In early 2012, she was guided to sit and meditate, and she immediately felt a natural and beautiful feeling “as if an angel was in my body, just pure golden light and a voice began to speak to me.” That’s when she began typing the words, as she described them “messages filled with a love bigger than anything I had ever experienced, a reverence for all of humanity and a wisdom that continues to expand me.”

                         Teachings from God:

Greeting Your Soul and Revealing the Divine Within

                              By Courtney Amundson

398bf291d1a0ab0a28654f484c6d00eaAnd now those messages are compiled in Teachings from God. In reading the words, the reader experiences an immersion in love, compassion, and encouragement. It’s as if you have your own heavenly cheerleading squad, heartening you, gentling nudging you in the direction of life-affirming choices. Through Courtney, the guides offer a perspective of one’s place in the cosmic landscape and how we can make the most of our time here on Earth while enhancing our eternal energetic footprint.

The book postulates a path to greater happiness, self-acceptance, understanding of ourselves and how we can make a difference by “sharing the truth, holding the love and sharing our magic.” The guides point the way toward getting into the natural flow and rhythm of life so that life becomes easier, more satisfying and more divinely guided. The book makes the reader remember our Oneness with all and encourages us to step fully into the awareness of living live as part of the greater whole.

The essence of Teachings from God is to uncover our true nature, the divine within, that once discovered will launch every person on a path of empowerment.  The teachings help seekers to find, discover, remember the limitless aspects of human capacity so that we can attain more freedom in our daily living.  Free from limiting beliefs that hold us back from our potential. Free to create outcomes that we dared not imagine previously. Free to live unencumbered, for those who dare to lift the veil.

Listen within to live out…..

TSM16/07 “Who I Am” with Gods Blessing

Their Story Matters with Sara Troy and her guest Monika Wilczynska on air from February 16/07

TRANSGENDER. The Pope said I don’t care what your faith is as long as it is about love and kindness. So if a Transgender person wants to be in faith who are you to dictate NO.

Oriol

Who I Am is a drama short film based on true events, and is based on from the life of a friend of mine from Sweden, with an original script written by Monika Wilczynska . It is a coming of age tale about Elijah, a young transgender teenager from a very religious background, who has to try to reconcile their identity with their faith and their family’s expectations of them.

It is about believing in ourselves and not compromising our own integrity in order to please our surroundings.

Can an LGBTQ-identifying person benefit from religion whilst staying true to who they are? Why is it important to tackle identity in regards to religion? How restrictive is our perception of spirituality and divinity? Who I Am does not attempt to answer these questions but it aspires to open the dialogue to the public on subjects that have been under-represented or taboo for far too long.

A lot of progress has been made in the past few years regarding LGBTQIA community and rights, but we still have a long way to go. Especially with transgender people, who are, in certain places, even less accepted than the rest of the LGBTQIA community. By giving visibility and voice to a transgender character, we aim to not only bring to life an honest and candid portrayal of their daily struggles but also to help educate people who may have never been directly confronted with this subject matter.

Monika the filmmaker says, “I am interested in the subject of identity and how different human beings identify themselves versus how they are seen by society and portrayed by the media. Religion and spirituality are also an interest of mine because we are wired in such a way that our actions come from our beliefs. Most of our deep-rooted beliefs, as well as many social, economic and political systems are based on religious teachings; whether we ourselves are an atheist, agnostic or a member of a particular religion. Therefore changing, or at least questioning our beliefs can help a positive change in the world happen much faster.”

“I think having a voice as an artist is really important because we can speak up about issues that are close to our hearts but which are also socially relevant. Historically, creative people have always been pioneers when it came to ‘taboo’ subjects and revolutionary ideas. We are continuously being told that we are separate, that we don’t matter and that we cannot change the circumstances in which we live. But look at Rosa Parks, look at Martin Luther King, look at ‘Tank Man’ in Tiananmen Square. We do matter and the more we realize that the more we can achieve in a quicker amount of time. The first step to that is ending all sort of prejudice, especially one based on an individual’s ethnicity, religious affiliation or sexual orientation.”

Who I Am is aiming to help do just that.

When writing the script for Who I Am, it was important for me to stay true not only to the subject’s essence but also to the representation of a transgender person on screen. There is a history of misrepresenting transgender and non-binary characters by cis-gender people, and I wanted to steer clear of that. This is the reason why I not only spent countless hours talking with my friend on whom this story is based but also engaged with the transgender community through social media.

One of the reasons behind our fundraising campaign is our objective to screen this film at as many International Film Festivals as possible to raise awareness about its subject. We aim to submit it to Cannes Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, BFI Flare, San Francisco International LGBTQ Festival, Melbourne Queer Film Festival and Berlinale Film Festival (Teddy Award section) amongst others.

16/05 Life is all about LOVE

Sara’s View of Life with Sara Troy aired from February 9TH-15TH

February is love month, but should we not pursue and embrace love daily?

all_you_need_is_love_by_camilal-d3cf8f7

Love does make the world go round, all we need is love, for love is the healer of everything. Love stems with self, for that is the love that exudes and invites and expands into all areas of life.

Why do we put so much emphases on compartmenting love when we should be learning to incorporate in in our lives all the time? Every discord, disappointment, set back, let down stems from love not being present. So let us look at how to keep love alive in every way every day of our lives.
