23-01. Welcome to 2023 Self Discoveries

Sara Troy on Sara’s View of Life, on air from January 3rd 2023.

Here we are, a start to a new year, what kind of year will it be I wonder, what kind of unrest of disruption will we have to face and can we face yet another year of such discord??? Haglas the Celtic Rune (disruption) is still upon us, but instead of looking at it as a bad disruption, let us see it as a reconstruction of a society that needs to change the way it looks at life, all life and this earth, and in the way we treat each other and this planet.

Yes, we may be going into a global depression, so much of this is the old paradigm doing things the old way with out remembering the negatives about their decisions, and not entertaining that there could be a better way to do things. Does that mean we just have to blindly follow? NO, it means that each and every one of us needs to look at life, our lives’ from a different perspective and make the changes needed in order to thrive and grow, as individuals and as a human race.

We are the change we seek, so when we decide to come together as a collective, and pool together our experiences, our ideas, and be open to all ideas, we then have a better picture in what the solutions can be, and then to apply them. Do not blindly leave your life up to everyone else. Listen, read, converse, learn and open up to your inner intellect, so you can make choices needed to progress in your own life in a positive manner, and therefor in the lives of others around you.

No matter what we are handed this 2023, let us face the challenges with openness, grace, whole intellect, and with collaborations with each other as a collective. For it is only in this action that we will see any changes for the better. None of us want to see the same-ol same-ol, So let us participate interactively, gracefully, and with open mindedness and heart-feltness to know what we can empower ourselves to do.

May kindness of heart be your compass, and may you open your heart to soul to spirit to mind, in a way that always supports you in everything you are and do.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

C23-01. David A. Stockman, Inflation Protection

Choose Positive Living with Sara Troy and her guest David A. Stockman, on air from January 3rd 2023

Americans are facing sticker shock at every turn: from the gas pump to the grocery store and every kind of consumer service. But the eye-popping price increases are just the tip of the iceberg in terms of the threat to the country’s economic recovery. Inflation showers windfalls on the rich while penalizing workers, savers, retirees, small businesses, and most of Main Street economic life.

New York Times bestselling author and former investment manager David A. Stockman, who served as director of the Office of Management and Budget under President Reagan, explains the roots of today’s runaway inflation so investors at all levels can calibrate their financial strategies to survive and thrive despite economic uncertainty.

The Great Money Bubble covers the entire economic landscape, including:

•          Why the rising price of assets is far more dangerous than rising consumer prices

•          The inside story on stock market manipulations and the effects of ultracheap debt

•          Why real estate is no longer a guaranteed inflationary hedge

•          Stockman’s four-step strategy to protect your savings and portfolio

After spearheading the economic policy for the Reagan Revolution, Stockman worked on Wall Street at the highest levels, and is now an adviser to professional investors. With this book, readers at all investment levels can have access to his groundbreaking financial advice.

IG23-01. Theresa Contaxis a Soul Ageless Journey

Ignite Your Heart and Soul with Sara Troy and her guest Theresa Contaxis, on air from January 3rd 2023

A Journey Of the Soul For All Ages

As a child, Theresa Contaxis struggled to navigate her way in life. She was bullied and felt insecure when measuring herself against others. In adulthood, she battled with feelings of anger, jealousy, and fear. Married, with her third child on the way, she had to confront depression. She went on a spiritual journey, embracing spiritual learnings from many belief systems and eventually becoming a reverend. In the process of finding herself, she was inspired to write a book for people of all ages,

The Littlest Sailboat.

Why she uses the ocean and a sailboat as metaphors for finding spirituality
How and why we each should embrace the power of letting go
How adults can find it within themselves to change course when life’s storms loom
What she learned from studying for several years with a shaman
What we can do to confront our feelings of anger, fear, shame, and jealous

“This relatively short but meaningful book has been a work in progress for a long time,” shares Theresa Contaxis. “But isn’t that who we are, in essence, as human beings, a work in progress? It takes time to learn that we are Divine beings living the human experience.”

The Littlest Sailboat
is a story about some of the challenges we face growing up, and reveals the pearls of wisdom we gather along the way. Its childlike simplicity enables this book to be read across generations. The inspiring story takes readers on a journey in the search for truth, acceptance, meaning and ultimately, love.

An elegant metaphor narrated by the Littlest Sailboat herself, she takes us along her floating journey, encountering adventures with the elements and meetings with unexpected friends, teachers and guiding forces — surrounded by the guiding spirit of Love.

“With the chaos we see in the world today, people are scrambling for answers and solutions,” says Contaxis. “The Littlest Sailboat navigates the journey we all go through while returning to the point we began. Full circle.”

The book, beautifully illustrated with unique watercolors by Jennifer Anne Contaxis, is for anyone who asks: Who am I? Where am I going?

Theresa Contaxis is an author, reverend, and student for life. She recently published The Littlest Sailboat: A Journey of the Soul (IPBBooks), an inspiring tale of how one finds their place in this world and calls upon faith for guidance. Contaxis suffered from loneliness and depression while pregnant with her third child. It was then that she found herself on a formal spiritual journey, attending a spiritual retreat, EMMAUS. The retreat was a defining moment in her life that forever changed her direction.

A mother of three, Contaxis studied under a nun, multiple energy workers, James Twyman, and two shamans for two years before becoming a Reverend at All Faiths Seminary International. She has studied mysticism from various spiritual leaders. Her writings reflect her spiritual evolution.

“It is important to laugh as you learn and grow,” she says. “I am grateful the Spirit teaches me through humor.  I have lots of examples of that. For those that are at the end of the rope, there is always hope. For those who feel unloved, that they are loved, loving and lovable. This applies to all people. Especially those who feel they have led a ‘bad’ life. They are loved. And underneath the actions that we see, our spirits are always connected to God, Source, Divine, Ralph whatever you want to call it.”

She graduated from Hartt School of Music and earned an MBA from University of Hartford. She worked in finance for a short time, and then stayed home to raise her family. Theresa resides in Tolland, Massachusetts.

  • Meat industry spent 200 million just lobbying against climate change legislation
  • Marketing meat – ever consider how some of the most effective marketing campaigns revolve around the consumption of meat and animal products? Beef. It’s What’s for Dinner; Pork. The Other White Meat; The Incredible Edible Egg; Got Milk?
  • The shift from local farms to big conglomerates
  • In researching the book, he discovered that the top 9 of 11 causes of deaths in the US could be reduced by a plant-based lifestyle
  • The impact of meat on lung function – the same as chronic smoking
  • Alzheimer’s – the connection between animal-based foods and blood supply to our brains
  • Busting meat myths: Evolution – we evolved to eat meat, didn’t we?

Stuart Waldner is an activist and an author who invites readers to take the red pill as they Escape the Meatrix, the title of his debut non-fiction book, written after he transitioned to a plant-based diet in 2008. As his health improved, he felt better, and the more he learned about the statistical connections between our dietary choices and the worldwide climate crises we face, the more he felt an urgency to tell other people —for our health and for the planet.?

Waldner spent nearly two decades exploring Earth’s greatest wonders and connecting with sacred sites around the globe. When he’s not advocating for the health of people and the planet, he spends time playing with his dogs, cooking plant-based foods, running, and restoring his 128-year-old Victorian home.
