Mental Challenges and Autism are even more evident today, but are we any closer to understanding them and the gifts they can be? Meet James Charles who has worked in the mentally disabled world for a long time only to discover he has always had Autism Spectrum Disorder.

76b35b19aaf226ba1193425323ec836bHaving struggled with social interaction and emotional development as a child, James was badly bullied and found himself consumed with overwhelming feelings of fear and anxiety. It wasn’t until he entered his fifth decade that the diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder proved to be a revelation. It was only after he began to recognize the signs and symptoms of his patients in himself while he was working as a mental health practitioner, that he found the courage to seek out an official diagnosis. Suddenly released from the feelings of guilt, confusion and distress he had experienced since childhood,  James embraced life anew, began studying to become a life coach, and finally realized that his autism was, in fact, a gift.

TSM P14/28b Veterans Regain their Dignity and Purpose in life

Originally Aired on July 15th, 2014 on Positive Living Vibrations Roundtable with Sara Troy and her guests Kathy Gambill and Colonel John Pettit

VNF9-vi

The dignity of a veteran should always be honoured for their service to their country. So why are so many coming home to nothing? We should not just celebrate them for dying for their country, but be there for them now in rebuilding their lives. They are shattered, they have had to do things that no man or woman should have to do, they are suffering from post-traumatic syndrome and many are unable to work. They are not the same people they were when they left, how can they be? they need help and support more than ever in that they can find dignity, meaning, and purpose once again in their lives.

Today we talk about the stress and anxiety and depression and what is being done to help the veterans to find a prosperous life again. Kathy Gambill and Colonel John Pettit are helping their soldiers regain their dignity and sanity with support and a nutrient called Q96. I have used this myself and know in how it helps, and if we can help the veterans around the world regain their lives, then let us find a way to do it.

Kathy Gambill

My background with the military goes back to 2006 thru 2010 When I was elected   President of the “Everett Navy League”. This was not a paid position, but truly a labour of Love.  Fundraising in the community and a very generous group of businessmen and women afforded me to supply our Navy families, with much-needed support.

kathy

My latest involvement with the Military is very exciting, but a much different path.  A little over a year ago I was introduced to a Micronutrient that was helping restore tens of thousands of people’s lives who suffer from everything from mild and severe stress and depression to ADHD and many other brain disorders.  The 25 clinical studies were very impressive, and the people I shared the product with were getting better.  One of the people I was introduced to, who was desperately looking for help, happened to be COL Pettit’s daughter in law who was suffering from a severe case of Anxiety and also depression.   I worked with her over approximately a 3 week period.  COL Pettit was taking notice of her amazing recovery and that is when I was introduced to John.   Little did I know that this was the beginning of a new and exciting project to help our Veterans overcome the challenges and the debilitating effects of what COL Pettit calls mind wounds.  And our new project began. We have been working with active duty and veterans who are suffering the effects of long tours of combat duty, past and present.

BE OUR GUEST AND SHARE THE WISDOM

P14/20b 4 Seasons in 4 Weeks

Positive Living Vibrations with Sara Troy and her guest Suzanne Mathis McQueen. Originally Aired from MAY 22nd on.

HORMONES, PERIODS, MENSTRUAL CYCLE, all of which we have no understanding of why we go through such different moods in one month. We are going to understand today why our menstrual cycle is indeed a gift, we are going to see in how getting into the rhythm of our cycle it gives us knowledge of how we feel each week of the month and how to live in the rhythm of our own lives. This is a fascinating interview, and you not only should give this book to every woman but every man girl and boy, so that a woman’s cycle is not demeaned or misunderstood but embraced and honoured.

Suzanne Mathis McQueen, who is the author of 4 Seasons in 4 Weeks, and coaches women on how to suzanne-mcqueentrack the energies of their own hormonal rhythm using symbolism, archetypes, and an easy-to-follow system. After reading her book or attending a talk, women worldwide are making revolutionary breakthroughs in how they think about their reproductive bodies, sexuality, personal experiences, problem-solving, and what they deserve.

Suzanne’s background is in the healing industry and she’s the former creator and owner of a million-dollar, award-winning day spa and retreat centre. After selling her business in 2003 and a short break, a new direction emerged and Suzanne embarked on a spiritual journey that would become her life’s work. Her passion is directed toward encouraging “already empowered” women and girls to make real suzzannechange for themselves (and therefore the world) by synchronizing with the sequence of their own monthly cycle—something Suzanne personally discovered to be a hidden treasure map and remarkable navigational system within herself and all women, even beyond menopause. When a woman understands the primal wisdom of her fluctuating hormones, her daily experiences begin to make sense. Instead of needing to tolerate the inconvenience and frustration of her cycle, she begins to fall in love with her womb’s power. Suzanne considers this to be the missing link in women’s empowerment and without this knowledge, the female gender as a whole will continue to struggle for true equality and sovereignty.

14/22 Ask Sara about Fibromyalgia, Myofascial pain, I.B.S, Depression and High Anxiety

Originally Aired June 2nd on Ask Sara with Sara Troy.

pain site 2Fibromyalgia -Myofascial pain, I.B.S, Depression and high Anxiety Asthma just to name a few. I have these and more and they have been around for a long time now….BUT I don’t let them stop me even if they slow me down.

So what have I done to live cohesively with these disorders so that I can build a radio station, and a foundation, counsel, and co-enterprise a new decision-making tool? I will share with you today what I use to help me and the mindset I have to put myself in to get through the day.  I am not ashamed of these disorders nor hide from them, for so many suffer from them, but we can help the problem and live a better life.

Here is a description of these disorders.

Fibromyalgia Symptoms

People with fibromyalgia frequently hurt all over and feel exhausted all the time. Those symptoms often force you to seriously limit your physical activity. It’s also common to have problems concentrating and remembering things. A lot of people with fibromyalgia have symptoms so severe that they have to quit their jobs due to the fatigue and pain.

Common fibromyalgia symptoms include:

Frequently, people with undiagnosed fibromyalgia don’t realise that a host of secondary symptoms are related to the pain, fatigue and other primary symptoms. Keeping a detailed list of symptoms can help your doctor make a diagnosis.

SOMETHING I have been using and works is Curcumin  a show on that HERE

Muscles Affected by Myofascial Pain

Myofascial pain is often caused by tension, spasm, or fatigue of the muscles that allow a person to chew, called the masticatory muscles. Grinding of the teeth and jaw clenching are related to myofascial pain and can lead to headaches.

It is common for myofascial pain to limit jaw movement and to affect muscles in the neck, back, and shoulder. Actually, myofascial pain can affect any skeletal muscle in the body. It is not limited to the muscles of mastication (chewing).

Now I know what it is learning what you can do about it here. HERE

What Is IBS?

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a digestive disorder that many people have, but few people talk about. It is estimated that IBS affects up to 15% of the population with its symptoms of chronic abdominal pain and major disturbance of bowel functioning. IBS can entail bouts of urgent diarrhoea, episodes of chronic constipation, or a pattern of alternating between the two. IBS is considered a functional disorder, in that it involves a malfunction in how the intestinal system works, but doesn’t show up in any visible disease process or tissue damage. If you have IBS, you know first hand how intense the disorder can be and how it can cause significant disruption in the ability to attend to the tasks of daily life.

Anxiety symptoms, anxiety attack symptoms: There are over 100 symptoms of anxiety, I only cover depression.

Because each person has a unique chemical makeup, the type, number, intensity, and frequency of anxiety symptoms will vary from person to person. For example, one person may have just one mild anxiety symptom, whereas another may have all anxiety symptoms and to great severity. All combinations are common.

Depression is a mental health illness that affects one in 10 Americans.More than just feeling down, clinical depression is a mood disorder characterised by persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and worthlessness that don’t go away on their own. It is essential to recognise that feeling down on occasion is a normal – and important – part of life. Sad and distressful events occur in everyone’s life, and responding to them emotionally is healthy. However, feeling miserable consistently and without any sense of hope is not normal, and should be treated as a serious medical condition.

People experience depression in different ways. It can often interfere with a person’s daily responsibilities and relationships. Left untreated, the condition may last for months or years and often becomes worse. However, depression is a treatable medical condition, and those who seek treatment often see improvements in their symptoms.

Asthma

Asthma is a chronic lung disease that inflames and narrows the airways in the lungs. In the United States asthma affects an estimated 26 million people — many of whom aren’t aware that they have it, especially if their symptoms aren’t severe.

The most common symptoms are:

  • Coughing, especially at night, during exercise or when laughing
  • Shortness of breath
  • Chest tightness
  • Wheezing (a whistling or squeaky sound in your chest when you breathe, especially when exhaling)
  • Any asthma symptom is serious and can become deadly if left untreated.

Symptoms may be triggered by exposure to an allergen (such as ragweed, pollen, pet hair or dust mites), irritants in the air (such as smoke, chemical fumes or strong odors) or extreme weather conditions. Illness — particularly a respiratory illness or the flu — and exercise can also make you more susceptible.

A physical display of strong emotion that affects normal breathing patterns — such as shouting, crying or laughing — may also contribute to an asthma attack. Panic can prevent a person with asthma from relaxing and following instructions, which is essential during an attack. Scientists have found that rapid breathing associated with strong emotions can cause bronchial tubes to constrict, possibly provoking or worsening an attack.

Like any chronic condition, asthma can cause emotional strain. As a leading cause of work and school absences, it can have a significant effect on livelihood, education and emotional well-being. Depression may set in when people diagnosed with asthma believe that they are unable to participate in normal activities.

Asthma symptoms can happen at any time. Mild episodes may last only a few minutes and may be resolved spontaneously or with medication; more severe episodes can last from hours to days.

P14/49a The Gift of Mental Challenges

Originally Aired in December on Positive Living Vibrations with Sara Troy and her guest Bill Macquis.

Mental Challenges are Human Evolution of Today’s Mind

557972_349466548437576_182551525129080_1030404_1501677869_nMental challengers, why do we define them, understand  them, communicate with them and do we really know what these mental challenges mean?

O.C.D Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. A.D.D. Attention Deficit Disorder. A.D.H.D. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Bio Polar. Sphistafrania, Depression. Anxiety. Autism.

Today we see more and more people with mental challenges, but this does not mean the are disabilities. When we choose to look at these challenges as gifts and choose to communicate on their level we understand the gifts that they bring to us.

Look at our children and how the learning skills have evolved, when we were young we did not compute half of what they are able to take in today. So why do we judge, ignore feel sorry for those who have a mental challenge today? If we choose to learn FROM THEM, to communicate and help them in their spectrum we open our minds, hearts and souls to their perspectives and gifted way of thinking of a different mind.

BILL-238x300How do we recognize when help is needed?

What are the triggers of distressful minds?

What can we do to redirect that stress?

How do we embrace the gifted mind?

Bill Maquis

Who has O.C.P.

OBSESSIVE Compulsive Phenomenon knows the struggles of mental challenges.

”I am a simple man, living a humble life who seeks only to live life with purpose, meaning, and dignity. I live my life by the graces granted to me by my God in order to follow the path in life that has been laid before me to follow.”

You are walking along the street, and you see off in the near distance a scruffy looking man with a full grown graying beard and longish scraggly Afro looking blond hair, dressed in jeans and a tee shirt walking staggeringly toward you wearing untied shoes.  As you draw nearer to each other, the man raises his head with a smile on his face and politely say’s what a beautiful day it is and proceeds to ask how you are doing today”.

For those very rare people who upon that chance first encounter with Bill, stop and immediately inquire to see if he is in need of any assistance as soon as they see him, to which Bill raises his head and in response says that he is OK which he then follows up with in a joking manner that he is out for his daily training run for the upcoming Olympics and that he wants to one day try out to become a member of the “Special Olympics Archery Team” and while saying this he raise his trembling arms in jest. With that everyone usually breaks out in laughter which leads to further questions to learn about Bill’s challenges. Unbeknownst to them they have inadvertently opened Bill’s “Pandora’s Box” and soon find themselves deeply engrossed in conversation with Bill. A conversion filled with mystery and intrigue lasting for several hours. One the first things people often discover about Bill is that he lives each day having to face dealing with multiple physical, neurological and behavioural challenges. Bill then goes on to explain that these are mere “Gifts” that have been bestowed upon him and expresses how much he cherishes and gives thanks for being bestowed them in that because of the special gifts he has been able to grow into the man he has become.
