ECO Solutions with Sara Troy and Polly Higgins, on air from April 24th
Let’s Get SYNC’D! series
ECOCIDE is:“loss or damage to, or destruction of ecosystem(s) of a given territory(ies), such that peaceful enjoyment by the inhabitants has been or will be severely diminished.”
A law prohibiting ecocide is not yet in place – but with your help as a legal Earth Protector, it can be.
Ecocide Law sits at the heart of an emerging body of law called Earth Law. Earth law puts people and planet first and ensures the well-being of the whole Earth community. Earth Law recognizes that the Earth has natural limits and boundaries, and it is for us to ensure the welfare of the entire Earth Community by putting in place laws that protect future generations.
One-day Ecocide will be a crime. All of humanity depends on healthy ecosystems, so humanity has a choice: to either consciously prevent the extensive destruction of ecosystems or wait for the consequences to impact us directly. Either way, the status quo where Ecocide remains profitable and legal cannot continue forever, so a law preventing it is inevitable and will be with us soon.
However, the Law of Ecocide is more than a peace agenda. It will also trigger the ‘Green Economy’ and create millions of jobs, which will be good for people, societies, governments and shareholders everywhere.
It is happening, and we need to get behind it now.
THIS IS POLLY’S LAST INTERVIEW WITH SARA TROY AS SHE PASSED AWAY SUDDENLY LAST YEAR, SHE LEAVES BEHIND A MOVEMENT THAT WILL CARRY ON IN HER NAME.

Identifying ecocide as a crime is not new – Sweden’s prime minister Olaf Palme highlighted it at the time of the Stockholm Declaration in 1972, and it was further discussed in the decades preceding the drafting of the Rome Statute in the 1990s, though it did not make the final draft (except as applied specifically to wartime environmental harm).
It was researched in depth from 2009 by UK barrister Polly Higgins, who proposed it into the United Nations International Law Commission in 2010 as a fifth Crime Against Peace (as the Rome Statute crimes were called). She has advocated its crucial importance ever since. Polly Higgins has familiarised the world with the term “ecocide” in contexts ranging from international diplomatic circles to NGOs and cultural forums to journalists and grassroots activists, inspiring a worldwide awareness of the potential of a law of ecocide.
Mission LifeForce came into existence in 2017 to enable the next stage of putting that law in place by financing those States who can take it forward, while simultaneously creating the opportunity for
conscientious protectors standing up for frontline communities to be heard in a court of law
judiciary to recognise ecocide as a missing crime

Igniting Our Hearts and Souls with Sara Troy and her guest Pam Del Franco, on air from May 1st
The key to any relationship, but specifically to a partner, is to be vigilant in learning how to listen to the intuitive part of yourself. You can enter a relationship wounded; you don’t need to be all sorted out. But you do have to be willing to look at how you might be participating in bad behaviour from your partner; for example you may be suppressing your needs; putting the other person first; avoiding looking at the reality of what’s happening and being stuck in the “if only I could …he would change”. When you constantly look within yourself and ask the hard questions, you may find it easier to make choices based on your own knowing which often gets suppressed in order to make a relationship work. That’s the part of you that does know what next step to take; when to be flexible and when to stand firm; when to stay and when to walk away.
The #MeToo movement – how important is this movement and why IS IT HAPPENING NOW?
I like to use the metaphor of a glass of water with a layer of mud on the bottom. If you’re just looking at the top it’s easy to miss all of that dirt at the bottom, but then you start to stir it up; it all mixes and muddles together and it looks like you’ll never have that clear water anymore. With time, the sediment settles back down to the bottom, and although it doesn’t actually leave the glass it has offered enough of a disturbance to acknowledge that it’s there.
The #MeToo movement is about that disturbance. Many women are coming forward speaking about things that happened to them 20 or 30 years ago. Some people comment that it was so long ago just leave it alone, what’s the point in bringing it up now. The point is that heartbreak, sadness, or fear don’t operate on the same timeline as our minds do on a day-to-day basis. Just like someone that can smell the aroma of apple pie and be immediately taken back to a time in the kitchen with their mother baking and re-experience the joy of that moment, we too can also immediately be transported back to a time where the experience made you feel scared, ashamed and alone.
The #MeToo movement is the mud at the bottom of the glass and it’s being stirred up. It’s not entirely new; we experienced similar ideology in the 1960’s but now with the power of social media, it offers a much wider platform. In that way, it’s even in more powerful because the #MeToo is easily accessible across generations of women.

Any growth in humanity is important and I hope that in my lifetime I will be able to witness that we have the ability to #RiseUp not only for women’s equality but to move beyond that and become humanity moving forward together regardless of gender.

Our Sensual Expressions with Sara Troy and her guest Steven Lake, on air from April 24th.
WHY DO MEN NOT TALK TO WOMEN?
On our talk today we will be discussing the male to female communications. Even though one might be a top leader in the corporate world, that does not mean he has the female to male interaction in hand. The knowledge of that interaction will be shared on this show with Dr Steven Lake, who works with top leaders who know the loneliness of being at the top. Does this disconnect them from those around and can they disconnect their leadership role from that of a loving partner?
Dr. Lake brings a rich and varied background to his work as a writer, speaker, and trainer, having owned businesses in manufacturing, construction, education, and mental health.
Steven worked as a psychologist for Corrections Canada in a maximum security prison hospital and as a consultant for an Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) provider before establishing Executive Support Net.
His corporate work includes policy reviews, needs assessment and program delivery. Steven also works one-on-one with executives focusing on personal effectiveness and lifestyle improvement.
Steven’s degrees in Psychology (Masters) and Administration (PhD) along with his focus on emotion and leadership combined with extensive business experience gives him unique insights into leadership and the management of organizations.
