Your Health is Your Choice with Sara Troy and her guest Adam Stanecki, on air from July 11th
I believe that the breath is the foundation of all health and wellness. It is the most fundamental aspect of our being. And yet it is often overlooked. I am on a mission to remind people that they can positively impact their health, wellness, and performance through breath practice. Breathe practice has been a part of the human experience for thousands of years and it is time to reconnect and harness the power of the breath.
My name is Adam Stanecki. I’m known as The Breath Geek. As a child, I struggled with severe asthma, which I managed to eliminate with my own breath practice. I have been interested in the breath for my whole life. Learning how to breathe correctly literally changed my life. I am a Certified Instructor with Buteyko Clinic International, an Advanced Instructor in The Oxygen Advantage, and a trained breathwork practitioner and psychotherapist. I teach the Buteyko Breathing Method to adults, teens, and children to naturally treat asthma, allergies, anxiety, and more. I also coach individuals, corporations and sports teams to perform better with functional breathing.

Their Story Matters with Sara Troy and her guest Mindy Scheirer, on air from July 18th
Before starting the Runway of Dreams Foundation in 2014, Mindy spent 20 years working in fashion as a designer for the INC collection and as a stylist for Saks Fifth Avenue. Mindy was inspired to start Runway of Dreams after her son Oliver, who has Muscular Dystrophy, dreamed of wearing jeans like everyone else. Runway of Dreams was founded on the basis that clothing is a basic human need. The foundation develops, delivers, and supports initiatives providing a platform to broaden the reach of mainstream adaptive clothing and promote people with disabilities (PWDs) in the fashion industry. The 2022, the Runway of Dreams fashion show was recognized as one of the top seven NYFW shows by Forbes, highlighting the latest designs from the Adaptive category featuring brands such as Kohl’s, Target, JCPenney, Zappos.com and Tommy Hilfiger.

Choose Positive Living with Sara Troy and her guest Michelle Harwood Lange, on air from July 11th
Facing the diagnosis of cancer was like being hit by a freight train. The world as I knew it came to a screeching halt. But as I navigated through the fear, the pain, and the uncertainty, I discovered something profound. I discovered myself. Cancer, as strange as it may sound, became a gift. It stripped away the superficial layers of my life and forced me to confront my own mortality. It was in this confrontation that I found a deep, unshakeable love for myself. I began to appreciate my body, not for its appearance or its abilities, but for its resilience, its strength, and its will to survive. I found purpose in my journey. I realized that I am here to live, to experience, to grow, and to contribute. I am here to share my story, to inspire others, and to make a difference in whatever way I can. I am here to honor my existence and to live my truth. Through the trials and tribulations, I discovered my resilience. I found strength in places I didn’t know existed. I learned to lean into the discomfort, to embrace the uncertainty, and to keep moving forward, no matter how hard it got. Today, I live in honor of who I am and what I am here to do. I am not just a cancer survivor; I am a warrior, a beacon of hope, a testament to the human spirit’s indomitable strength. I am a living, breathing example of the transformative power of self-love and acceptance. Cancer did not break me; it made me. It brought me to a place of profound self-love, meaningful purpose, and acceptance of my very being. And for that, I am eternally grateful.

Choose Positive Living with Sara Troy and her guest Dee Lippingwell, on air from July 11th
Vancouver born and award winning photographer DEE LIPPINGWELL began her self taught professional photography career over 40 years ago. Her love of music propelled her into shooting local musicians and her success on that level led her into shooting all the world famous performers that we are so familiar with today.
Through her hard-edged determination and a commitment to photography, Dee has had her photographs published world-wide. Her candidly striking photos of the world’s most famous personalities adorn exhibit halls, magazines, newspapers, calendars and some of her prints were even selected for the National Library of Canada. It has been her great honour to be the recipient of Canada’s Famous Women Award as the first woman in her field to earn this distinction of achievement, having been published in every major newspaper in Canada. More recently she was inducted into the BC Country Music Association Hall of Fame in recognition of her photographic contributions to the Association for over 25 years, adding hundreds of Country artists to her catalogue of Rock ’n Roll heroes!
In 2022 Dee’s collection of thousands of photographs was accepted into the National Music Centre – Studio Bell – in Calgary, Alberta, where a special section will be dedicated to her vast collection of photographs for all to see. Although Dee’s work has been published all over the world since the start of her career she is definitely proud of the fact that she was a featured photographer in the best-selling “Expo Celebration Book” published in 1986. Her photographs were also a main feature of another best-selling book by Greg Potter and Red Robinson – “Backstage Vancouver”, published in 2004. She was also a substantial contributor to the “100 Years of Fun – The PNE Story”, released in 2011. Most recently Dee was part of the “Live at the Commodore” historical rendition by Aaron Chapman.
In 1987 Dee published her first book of photographs called “The Best Seat In The House”… a title since used by major companies to promote their own products! This book was a collection of her best photos of rock and roll royalty to that date. She started her own publishing company (No Flash Publishing) and compiled photos and stories for her second book, “First three Sons…No Flash!” which not only highlights the famous performers that she’s shot but also deals with the behind-the-scenes, sometimes amusing, stories associated with her concert photos…it seems that everyone wants to know what it’s like backstage with the Rolling Stones!
In 2021 Dee published “Memories From The Mountain”, a photographic essay depicting the 17 years (1993-2009) that she was the head photographer for the Merritt Mountain Music Festival. This was a Limited Edition printing and sold out quickly so another book was published featuring all the artists that performed over the year.
Just a sample of some of the greats Dee has captured over the years.
