BB22-06 Phyllis Weiss Haserot, GENgagement and Collaborageism

I bring perspective to understand why people think and act as they do. I interpret, inspire and facilitate action to foster meaningful, non-threatening conversations and relationships in organizations on the part of management, next-generation leaders, young professionals, and multi-generational teams that are the key to productivity, profitability, and sustainability.

I will talk about how I got to focus on the concepts behind my trademarked words GENgagement and Collaborageism and how I evolved to my work passion of all things generational in work – as represented at https://www.youcantgoogleit.com

My podcast, Legacy-Makers@Work, inspires listeners to start early to be intentional about making a significant impact in creating a work legacy that benefits the organizations they work for or with as well as their own careers. The target audience is change-makers in mid-level career (professionals and executives) who are frustrated and eager to bust out to have a larger impact and influence.

Phyllis Weiss Haserot (Haz-er-o), a “uniter” dubbed the “cross-generational voice.” Is in the business of uniting people, purpose, potential; and profit across the generations. She works with organization leadership and multi-generational teams focused on both external and internal stakeholder relationships to solve the increasingly urgent problems inherent in retaining the most desirable talent and clients. She leads Cross-Generational Conversation workshops, forums, and masterminds for professionals, knowledge workers, and university student and alumni communities. Phyllis is co-host of the Legacy-Makers@Work podcast. She is the author of You Can’t Google It! The Compelling Case for Cross-Generational Conversation at Work and “Embrace GENgagement” President and Founder of Practice Development Counsel, business development and organizational effectiveness consultancy, Phyllis is a speaker, podcaster, columnist, and blogger on intergenerational relations and multi-generational workplace issues for Thomson Reuters Institute, Forbes.com, Next Avenue, Legal Executive Institute, LinkedIn, among others.

Her career has evolved from urban planner to trailblazer in marketing and business development for professional service firms, to adding organizational effectiveness to a trailblazer in solving generational challenges at work as a consultant, facilitator, coach, thought leader, and podcaster. She is a person who sees patterns before others do and loves challenges. One she is taking on now is a movement toward “Collaborageism” and persuading organizations to provide a well-deserved seat for generational/age diversity at the DEI &B decision-making table.

SE22-06 Lily Walford Love is an Everyday Thing.

Sensual Expression with Sara Troy and her guest Lily Walford, on-air from February 8th

Love is said to be one of the most sought-after feelings. From childhood, adults are taught that this feeling is normal, and it’s everywhere around us. We’re born into a world full of love stories – fairy tales of princesses meeting princes on white horses. Yet, for some reason, there comes a time in life when we feel that we’re missing this key emotion.

People say that when you find love, it’s like magic; but once it’s gone, it can be even worse than before you ever experienced the feeling. Why is that? Where does this feeling go?

In this episode, we dive into what real love is, how you can begin a healthy relationship, and most importantly how you can develop that healthy relationship with yourself.

RG22-06 Trent Talbot, Brave Books Empowering Youth.

Raising our gifted children with Sara Troy and her guest Trent Talbot, on air from February 8th

UNFORTUNATELY, NO ONE CAN BE TOLD WHAT THE “WOKETRIX” IS…You have to see it for yourself…
Trent Talbot, is the Founder and CEO of Brave Books and author of the upcoming adventure called The Fight for Freedom Island. Brave Books is empowering this generation’s youth with conservative values so that the next generation will be filled with strong and discerning leaders.

BRAVE Books has released a “Matrix” parody video ahead of the release of “The Matrix Resurrections.”

The “Woketrix” video echoes the notorious explanation of the Matrix that Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) gives in the first film, but this video urges a child to take the “red pill” of Brave Books to escape the false reality of “Wokeism.”

“You are here because you know something,” a character in a suit and black sunglasses says as the video opens. “What you know you can’t explain, but you feel it. You’ve felt it your entire life, that there’s something wrong with the world. Do you want to know what it is? Wokeism.”

“Wokeism is everywhere,” the Morpheus-like character continues. “It is all around us, even now in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window, or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you play in the ball pit or when you go to sleep in your crib. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth: that you are a slave, like everyone else you were born into bondage. Born into a prison for your mind.”

“Unfortunately, no one can be told what Wokeism is, you have to see it for yourself,” he continues. “This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take ‘Woke Up My Baby,’ the story ends. You wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take ‘BRAVE Books,’ you stay in wonderland, and I tell you how deep the rabbit hole goes.”

The camera then pans away from the man to show a little girl, who seems far more interested in a “juice cup” than in deep questions of reality.

The parody serves as a clever ad for BRAVE Books, a series of children’s books written by conservative authors that promote conservative ideas. Ashley St. Clair wrote “Elephants Are Not Birds,” addressing gender. Elizabeth Johnston wrote “Little Lives Matter,” addressing the sanctity of life. Jack Posobiec wrote “The Island of Free Ice Cream,” showing the dangers of communism. Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, wrote “Fame Blame and the Raft of Shame” about cancel culture. The Hodgetwins wrote “More Than Spots and Stripes,” inoculating kids against critical race theory.

ABOUT: Brave Books, was founded by conservative parents, who while trying to raise their children to love their God and country, became aware that there is a real war going on for the hearts and minds of the next generation.  Unfortunately, it’s a one-sided battle.  That’s why Brave Books created a conservative alternative to the current progressive agenda that dominates our culture.

C22-05 Simone Knego, “The Extraordinary UnOrdinary You”.

Choose Positive Living with Sara Troy and her guest Simone Knego, on air from February 1st.

Simone says “In my new best-selling book, The Extraordinary UnOrdinary You, I detail my journey of adopting three of my six children, my climb of Mount Kilimanjaro, and all of the funny, scary, and inspiring stories that came along the way”.

My goal is to help others realize that the small choices they make every day matter. We all have the power to inspire others, just by being who we are.

I have been married to my husband for 27 years and have six children. Although I graduated from The University of Florida with both a Bachelor and Master of Accounting and have my CPA, I realized early in my career that I wasn’t meant to sit behind a desk. I’m a storyteller and love talking to other people. I truly believe that you can learn something from everyone you meet.

In my early years, I earned a Master of Accounting from the University of Florida and began my professional career as a Certified Public Accountant. But I soon realized that my passion wasn’t numbers—it was helping people. This led me to become an elementary and exceptional education teacher to work with children. Today, my desire to help people has expanded into sharing my story and experiences to inspire and motivate others to make a difference in this world. I’ve done some pretty remarkable things in my life—I’ve climbed Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds and awareness for the Livestrong Foundation, served 6 years (including one year as co-chair) in the National Young Leadership Cabinet for the Jewish Federations of North America, birthed three children, and adopted three more from South Korea and Ethiopia. I’ve authored a book and shared my story nationally as a motivational keynote speaker. And I’ve travelled the world on many philanthropic missions, including medical missions with my Neurosurgeon husband, Rob, who I’ve been married to for nearly 30 years. Every choice I’ve made is a part of my story. I’ve made some really big life choices, but it’s the small things that have impacted my life the most. For example, the familiar Jewish phrase I learned in my youth, Tikkun Olam—repair the world—has been the driving force of everything I do. It has changed my perspective on life and inspired me to write my book the Extraordinary UnOrdinary You to share the important message that what you do matters. We are—in essence—repairing the world with our small acts of kindness by simply being who we are. Each of us is unique and UnOrdinary. But sometimes we need to be reminded how Extraordinary we truly are.

In 2018 I was selected as Co-Chair of the Jewish Federations of North America’s National Young Leadership Cabinet. Through that role I had the opportunity to speak on multiple stages, sharing my story with the goal of inspiring other people to realize what they are capable of..
