I am celebrating my 40th year living in Canada, and I am very grateful to call it home. I am a born a Brit who moved to South Africa at the age of 14 y.old. It is a beautiful country where I learned a great deal about my self and embraced my free spirit; but, although I loved it, I could not stand the segregation apartheid and the male misogyny.

I travelled a lot while living there, I went back to the UK a lot, lived in London, travelled Europe, and then lived in the USA for a bit before going back to SA and getting engaged. That did not last long and I moved to a place called Hillbrow, very cosmopolitan, great food, but a lot of violence. After a while, I could not take it all anymore and came to Canada before going back to the USA.

I was here 5 months and met my now ex-husband, that was it for the US until 2006 when I tried to go there to further develop a new electric motor, but it was not meant to be. Finding my self back in Canada and looking for partners around 2007/8 was not a fun thing, as it when everything crashed, so did we, my then-current partner/boyfriend and I.

We moved around the mainland living out of my car until we found some new partners, who then end stole the motor and left us high and dry.

REDIRECT TIME, feeling lost and depressed I was asked to join a podcast network, and now 8 years later and 7 years my own network, I am where I am meant to be doing what I love.

Vancouver was not feeding my soul anymore, and I needed a change, so I went to Toronto for a few months to be near my oldest daughter, but left when temps reach -36 and came to Victoria Island in BC and I love it.

So now 40 years I am so at home here, I have lived in 4 countries and raised 3 children in BC and know I am in the right place. Ones soil is important, I have felt at home in many places, but here I feel grounded and for me a free spirit, that is a good thing.

I highly recommended coming to BC Canada when the borders open up, it is a most stunningly beautiful place to be.

20-29 Loving of Self this Summer

Life is changing and we are being asked to change with it. In these redirectional times, let us look at what to be grateful for and what possibilities lay before us.

I recently saw my children and friends and got my much needed hug from them. When you are deprived of the simple things you realize how much you miss them and maybe how much you take them for granted. One should never take friends and family for granted, for they are there for you no matter what and that connection needs to be kept going no matter what.

Do not be afraid of these redirections, we needed them, they way we were living life was not kind to our planet, our daily workers and to our souls. In this time of change it is an open canvass to paint what we want out of our lives and how to feel life within us and ignite that heart and soul to the love plain and resonate at a higher vibration.

Self Love is essential in todays living, loving ones self and your meaningful purpose and bringing that as a service to ignite other souls is what we need in this world. We are the light we seek, we are the solution to the worlds problems, we have the tools to solve our own issues, so go in and heal your heart, go in and ignite your soul, go in and erase old programing, go in and embrace your inner child.

YOU ARE THE LOVE YOU SEEK BE THAT LOVE.

When you become that love living in an authentic grateful mindset, you will understand what life is all about and your part in it. So this summer, immerse your self in all that is loving and let the sun warm your heart and soul and lift your spirit into inner and outer joy.

20-24 In Support of Black Lives with Sara.

Black lives do matter, the persecution that people of colour have been through for 400 years is simply not acceptable and must stop now.

As the young girl above says, Black Lives matter, they are not saying only black lives matter, but this fight right now with the system, the police and society, and its racism has to change.

The only way we are going to change this is by each one of us looking at our own perceptions and in how we see people of colour in its self. Understanding of the right to live is for everyone’s skin, it is a human and all life forms right. Targetting black people because your programing says they are killers rapes and more if one big blanket of a lie, and if you would only converse with a person of color you will see what they bring to the table of life and how much you would gain by it, I know I have through the years and I am better of for knowing such wonderful people of colour.

We are products of our programing and our history, but we can rewrite that for we have free will. We can listen to what our black community would like us to hear, we can stand with them in the fight against police violence and hypocrisy. Yes, there is a high number of violence with people of colour, why? because we neglect them, we persecute them, we label them and we stifle them before they have a chance to grow or even believe there is a chance in life for them. So let us stop that, and take a look at the root of the problem which is racism and poverty and lack of support and start to heal the roots and let things grow with equality respect and love.

We may not know what it is like to live in their shoes, but if you have ever known fear especially fear of your life, you understand that.

So as we are being woken up and shaken up? Yes, so let us step up and be the change all people of colour need, for under that skin we all bleed the same and we all seek the right to work, walk, drive, to love and live in a place without fear of losing ones life to racism.

June 2013 I started my own Podcast network, we have been a few names since then and evolved quite a bit, but still, the core of our “Why” and whom we bring to you is still the same, as by supporting those making a difference in the lives of others.

I truly have found my calling, this is what I have been preparing for all my life and of cause did not know it. My journey has been one of my own Self Discovery, and a path to loving who I am inside and out.

It truly is an honour to be trusted with so many people’s stories, some so intermit and venerable that it warms your heart and shows us all how strong, resilient courageous and capable we can really be.

I hosted on a different network when I first started out, live shows which gave me some good training in dealing with the unexpected. Even when I started my own network with the help of Bill Macquie, it was learning as you go.

Now I do all my own banners, editing, videoing, and blogging and advertising my self. I am proud of that, even though it takes a long time for each show to produce, I love doing it and so glad this is my job. (Yes I do charge my interviewees as I am a service)

I have not reached my true goal as yet, podcast books, supporting the Fund-Action program, but I have started our Community Mentors program where our Mentors share their services which helps others on their life’s journey.
