18-49 Etiquette at Christmas

Sara Troy on Sara’s View of Life, on air from December 4th

There is a kinder way to shop — one that keeps our hearts calm and our spirits aligned with what this season truly represents. Be patient with the people helping you in the stores; they are doing their best in the busiest time of the year. Buy thoughtfully, not anxiously. Don’t let stress steal the joy from your giving. Christmas is a season of loving-kindness, of joy and goodwill toward all.

And remember: the most meaningful gifts are those that bring hope. You can make a powerful difference by supporting organizations that uplift others — and by giving in honour of your loved ones. A donation or contribution on behalf of a friend or family member becomes a gift that keeps growing, touching lives far beyond the holiday moment.

Give the gift of hope. Give a gift that matters.
Because when we choose generosity from the heart, we spread joy not just to one person — but to the world we all share.
