21-04 Changing of the guard into Actionism

Sara’s View of Life with Sara Troy, on air from January 26th

There has been a changing of the guard, one from complete abuse of power to a sensible balance, but it does not mean peace straight away. Far from it, the unrest still smoulders beneath and will continue to grow unless stopped right now at its roots, if not, a civil war will happen in the USA.

I like that President Biden speaks from his soul, his love and services to America is evident and with Vice Kamala Harris at his side, who is a no-nonsense person, we should see some good things getting done; but again, they won’t’ be perfect, nothing ever is. It is about finding a balance between what can be done and what will have to wait or change directions. There are still those republicans who will out of spite try to block anything democratic. I do not know whom they serve, but it seems to be their own interest.

Because of the last 4-5 years of perpetual hate and tension, the world just wants a boring and stable government that speaks in a concise way, and does not bring their insecurity or greed and opulence into the picture. Power in the wrong EGO hands is a destroyer. We have had enough of that, for the discord was felt around the world, and with a raging pandemic that has been so badly out or control and mismanaged, we have enough on our plates.

We are as a human race, needing to find an equilibrium of soul, heart, health, spirit and monetary security, for we are so tired of wars, of fighting, of instability, of all the hate-mongering and the HUMAN injustices that keep prevailing. It is time for a radical change, where we put all life forms as a priority, that means humans, animals, earth, oceans, forests, etc. Killing for pleasure is a NO NO, killing for power a NO NO, killing for greed, a big NO NO, WE WON’T TAKE IT ANYMORE.

So ask your self, where ever you are, what are you going to do you your self to bring about a balance in your life and in the lives of others? for we are all in the same boat and we need each other to not only survive but thrive as a human race on this poor abused planet.

HEALING TIME IS HERE, AND WE ARE ALL THE MEDICIAN IT IS IN OUR ACTIONS, THOUGHTS, AND HEARTS. I do believe we can turn the corner and make this planet a more loving place to live, a more respectful arena to grow in and with a whole load of compassion, we can have that peace we seek, and be that abundance we want, but we must step up and be apart of the solution and not the problem,. for doing nothing, is being part of the issue, we all must in some way big of small, change the way we treat each other, our selves, our planet, all life forms and place a urgency on kindness, caringness and love.

American? American’t?

No alt text provided for this image

Which way will the new winds blow?

Inauguration was sober yet stately. Scaled down yet remarkably triumphantly Human against the stark contrast of a previously hi-styled, alienating administration.

Flags replaced crowds. Masks and windy locks replaced coifs. A Capitol in pandemic lockdown and riot fallout presented its new face like a swift set change in a weirder-than-weird Take Two. The comatose patient finally blinked its eyes … and in that blurry first moment it began to see and feel somewhat differently. For some it was victory. For others defeat. Yet for everybody it was turning the page of depleted hopes and beliefs.

There will be withdrawl symptoms galore. It’s normal when abnormal has been the o.d. du jour. Yet it’s precisely the lack of bravado and super-ego which evidenced itself yesterday, in what should have been a lacklustre pageantry that wound up stirring the soul of our forgotten humanity.

President Biden uttered the word “soul” numerous times – as if he meant it. Maybe Humanity in sanity will characterise (humanise?) President Biden’s proclaimed “new American story”. Maybe it will inspire rather than incite-the-ire-of its continental cousins, much less those of its own disheartened, disillusioned, enraged and exhausted citizens.

It’s an arduous, tenuous, no-guarantees haul out of the ashes of an ongoing apocalypse. Amidst piping hot embers are apertures; for legislative miracles that can’t come fast enough. Perhaps hope dwells in multilateral mindsets whose new language replaces the gibberish utterances of a partisanship-of-fools that scarred and nearly sunk its fragile Citizenship.

It feels like walking on hot coals now. But how to expect miracles without the miraculoUs? From top down (Leaders of Nations & Corporations) to roots up (The Voting Public) it’s for each one to grasp their part of the worldwide rudder and help steer this shaky vessel from a riptide that’s nearly ripped it in shreds … one which, even in their best intentions, no single Leader or Nation is equipped to navigate. Simpol’s Simultaneous Policy is a savvy and accessible governance tool with which to do so. And there is no. better. time. to. try.

All for One or None for All. Is this the miraculoUs that becomes our extended Act 2 … or our final curtain call? Maybe Great is overrated. Make America Good again, and let the World become Great.

21-03 Keep on Smiling Joy

Sara’s View of Life with Sara Troy, on air from January 19th

I know, it is hard to keep smiling when the world is upside down, but to smile is to share the light of hope when we need it the most. A smile is so simple and has such an impact on all those who receive it.

I know you think no one can see the smile through the mask, but a smile can be heard in your voice and seen in your eyes even in your posture.

Is it so hard to give a smile? no, it makes you feel better, it is one of those things that has a positive impact on the giver and receiver. When you smile, you are saying you care to the person you smile to. When they smile back, it is a gift to you .

A smile can say so much…

I care

I see you

I hear you

I feel for you

I have empathy towards you.

A smile takes nothing to do, but says so much and shows such kindness in one smiling way.

So smile, even in your mirror, smile to your self, it is catching and will make you feel better which in turn, makes others feel better too.

MH20-50 Dr. E. Everett Bartlett, Domestic Violence and Affirmative Action

Mental Health Awareness with Sara Troy and her guest Dr. E. Everett Bartlett, on air from December 8th

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ANALYST: Dr. E. Everett Bartlett, the President of the Coalition to End Domestic Violence.

Domestic violence is a serious problem that knows no boundaries of sex, gender, economic status, geography, or education. The Coalition to End Domestic Violence (CEDV) is a broad-based network of concerned groups and individuals committed to finding substantive solutions to stop domestic violence in the United States.

Results from the recent November 3 elections reveal broad voter dissatisfaction with affirmative action laws and policies that afford preferences to certain gender, racial, and ethnic groups. The results suggest that domestic violence laws, which for years have given preference to female victims, are losing favor.

In California, a strong majority of voters rejected an attempt to resuscitate the use of sex, race, and national origin by universities and other agencies. Chinese-Americans led the opposition to Proposition 16, which was defeated by a 56% to 44% margin.

Liberal progressivism has long supported affirmative action programs that grant preferences on the basis of sex and race. But voters across the country rejected progressive ideals last Tuesday, as House Republicans registered a net gain of five seats.

Liberal stalwarts described the election results in apocalyptic terms. Democrat Jim Clyburn warned bluntly, if “we are going to run on Medicare for All, defund the police, socialized medicine, we’re not going to win.” One Democratic lawmaker commented, “It’s a dumpster fire.” Politico’s Jake Sherman described the election as an “abject disaster” for Democrats.

The federal Violence Against Women Act is a leading example of a sex-based affirmative action program. But the law’s focus on women is not confirmed by research. According California State University professor Martin Fiebert, 221 empirical studies “demonstrate that women are as physically aggressive, or more aggressive, than men in their relationships with their spouses.”

The Violence Against Women Act has given rise to an array of female-specific offices, programs, grantees, and commissions. For example, the Department of Justice sponsors a Task Force on Research and Violence Against American Indian and Alaska Native Women.  The DOJ does not have a corresponding Task Force on Violence Against American Indian and Alaska Native Men, even though Native American men experience similar rates of domestic violence.

This omission led one observer to characterize VAWA’s neglect of male victims as “an insult to fairness.”

In contrast to the federal Violence Against Women Act, state-level laws usually are written using sex-neutral language. But bias is often evident in training programs. For example, research has found that 58% of domestic violence cases are bi-directional, with both partners engaging in abusive behaviors. But one training module by the Association of Title IX Administrators insists, without citing evidence, “To be clear, mutual abuse is neither common nor is it truly mutual.”

According to the Centers for Disease Control, each year there are 4.2 million male victims of physical domestic violence, and 3.5 million female victims. For male victims of domestic violence, justice remains an elusive ideal.

The Violence Against Women Act needs a Fresh Start to address the causes of domestic violence, become responsive to the wishes of victims, support families, and end over-criminalization.
