SS23-33. Victoria Coure Smiles Couragously

Supporting the Supporters with Sara Troy and her guest Victoria Coure, on air from August 15th

Victoria has faced numerous challenges and adversities throughout her life, enduring countless downs, unimaginable abuse, and persistent neglect. Despite the seemingly insurmountable obstacles that have been thrown her way, she has remained resilient and determined to create a better world for herself and others.

From enduring physical beatings that left her body battered and broken, to having electronic devices implanted to help her function, Victoria’s journey has been nothing short of a testament to the strength of the human spirit. What makes her story even more incredible is the fact that her daughter, was disabled as a result of the intense beating by her father before she was even born, has become a symbol of unwavering love and resilience.

But Victoria’s impact extends far beyond her own personal struggles. In fact, she has managed to transform her experiences into a powerful platform that inspires, impresses, and supports the lives of those who feel isolated and alone. Through her words, actions, and unwavering determination, she has become a beacon of hope for countless individuals who find themselves in similarly dire circumstances.

Through her platforms, Victoria shares her story, offering insights into how she overcame adversity and found strength in the face of unimaginable challenges. She provides practical advice, empowering others to take control of their lives and rise above their own hardships. Whether it’s through motivational speaking engagements, writing books, or connecting with individuals via social media, Victoria has developed a substantial following of individuals who look to her for guidance and inspiration.

In a world that often seems filled with despair and darkness, Victoria’s story reminds us all that even in the face of immense adversity, there is always hope. Her resilience, determination, and unwavering spirit serve as a shining example of what can be achieved when one refuses to let their circumstances define them.

So, the next time you find yourself facing a seemingly insurmountable challenge, remember Victoria’s story. Remember that within every setback lies an opportunity for growth, and within every struggle lies the potential for triumph. Let Victoria’s journey be a testament to the power of the human spirit and a reminder that you too have the strength to overcome whatever obstacles come your way.

RGC23-33. Nancy Cotten, Autism Advocate/Advisor.

Raising Our Gifted Children with Sara Troy and her guest Nanacy Cotten, on air August 15th

Nancy says “I am an Autism Advocate/Advisor. I help parents develop strategies to avoid things that can exacerbate problems as well as help provide ideas that can help make their lives easier from the effects of meltdowns, anxiety, poor diet, poor sleep and many sensory issues.”

My degree is in elementary education, and my passion has always been to provide the best care and education for children. Walking alongside parents through some difficult journeys with typically developing and neurodiverse children has been the honor of a lifetime. In my 23+ year career as a corporate child care director for a large hospital, I saw a number of children who were on the spectrum. Many parents brought their children to the center after nights of little sleep. They were worried about their children’s nutrition because of poor diets and they were frustrated and overwhelmed by the meltdowns and anxiety their children were experiencing. I have felt so much empathy for them and thought there must be strategies to make things better and so I began to search for answers. Later a grandson was born and he is on the spectrum. I have continued doing extensive research into my retirement years and have found many ways to help the autistic community. I feel compelled to share what I have found.

I come from a line of teachers. Back in the early 1900’s, my grandfather was the teacher in a one room schoolhouse. Years later, my mother was a middle school teacher and then I became a teacher. While my husband was in pharmacy school, I taught math in middle school and then I was needed as a first grade teacher. After staying home while nurturing our three young children, I was hired as the director of a large hospitals onsite child care center which had 3 shifts of staff and was open year round, initially never closing even for holidays. I took that center through an arduous National Association for the Education of Young Children accreditation process and the center remained accredited for many years. After retirement, I have continued to do extensive research looking for strategies to help parents of autistic children and adults. I have a support group in the North Texas area for parents of mainly teens and adults.

Nancy wrote.

Because of people’s positive thoughts, kind words were said,

Because of the kind words people said, others were encouraged,

Because others were encouraged, they spoke up about injustice,

Because they spoke up about injustice, a group was formed,

Because a group was formed, major action was taken,

Because major action was taken, children were saved from being trafficked,

Because children were saved from being trafficked, societies changed,

Because societies changed, the world changed.

All because of people’s positive thoughts and kind words.

Change begins with us.

23-32. My gifts to give.

Sara’s View of Life with Sara Troy, on air from August 8th

This is an excerpt from my upcoming book “My Self Discovery” coming out soon.
“I see possibilities in people and situations, and this ability is more than just a superficial observation. It’s a profound understanding of the potential that lies within each individual and circumstance. By recognizing this potential, I can guide others to see what is possible for themselves, even if they might not see it at first. Reflecting back what I see is a powerful tool in this process. It’s not about telling people what they should do or be, but rather showing them what they could achieve. This reflection can be a mirror to their own abilities, wisdom, skills, and passions.

It’s about creating a safe space where they feel comfortable enough to open up and share these inner treasures. When the heart is open, it’s like a door to the soul, allowing the spirit to be ignited. This isn’t just a poetic metaphor; it’s a real, tangible experience that can lead to profound personal growth and transformation. An open heart allows wisdom to flow freely, not just from the mind but from a deeper, more intuitive place. This wisdom isn’t confined to serving the individual; it extends to serving others who need guidance, support, or inspiration. In essence, this approach is about more than just seeing potential; it’s about nurturing it, encouraging it, and allowing it to flourish. It’s about connecting with others on a deep level and helping them to realize their own greatness.

“The knowingness of our very being is a place of trust, wisdom, and peace, for there is no other intellect other than divine that can reside there, and it is there you find that peace, and meaningful purpose we all seek. Peace does not mean standing still and abstaining from the world, but a knowingness of knowing what, how, and for whom you are our doing.it for”

It’s a journey of discovery, growth, and ultimately, empowerment for both myself and those I interact with.”
